130 UK imams hailed for refusing to perform funeral prayers for jihadis, but Islam forbids funeral prayers for jihadis

In this case they came to pay their respects to the “martyr”, not for the victims. Sadiq Kahn, the Muslim mayor of Londonistan, is complicit in giving these imams priority before the kafirs, who were cordoned off so that the believers didn’t have to mingle with them. Don’t anyone get the idea they were praying for the victims, that’s ‘unislamic’.

The Muslim Council of Britain has gained worldwide headlines — and praise — for the announcement. Secretary of State Tillerson said Monday in New Zealand: “I was actually encouraged when I heard on the news this morning that a number of imams in London have condemned these attackers and said they will not perform prayer services over their funerals, which means they’re condemning their souls. And that is what has to be done, and only the Muslim faith can handle this.”

Moderate Muslims stand up at last, right? Here is the MCB’s statement:

“Over 130 Imams & Religious Leaders from diverse backgrounds refuse to perform the funeral prayer for London attackers in an unprecedented move,” Muslim Council of Britain, June 5, 2017

Imams and religious leaders from across the country and a range of schools of thought have come together to issue a public statement condemning the recent terror attack in London and conveying their pain at the suffering of the victims and their families.

In an unprecedented move, they have not only refused to perform the traditional Islamic prayer for the terrorist – a ritual that is normally performed for every Muslim regardless of their actions – but also have called on others to do the same. They said:

“Consequently, and in light of other such ethical principles which are quintessential to Islam, we will not perform the traditional Islamic funeral prayer over the perpetrators and we also urge fellow imams and religious authorities to withdraw such a privilege. This is because such indefensible actions are completely at odds with the lofty teachings of Islam.”

This all sounds great, but there’s just one catch: Muhammad is depicted in hadiths as forbidding funeral prayers for martyrs, and Islamic law forbids such prayers as well:

“Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: Allah’s Messenger used to shroud two martyrs of Uhud in one sheet and then say, “Which of them knew Qur’an more?” When one of the two was pointed out, he would put him first in the grave. Then he said, “I will be a witness for them on the Day of Resurrection.” He ordered them to be buried with their blood (on their bodies). Neither was the funeral prayer offered for them, nor were they washed. Jabir added, “When my father was martyred, I started weeping and uncovering his face. The companions of the Prophet stopped me from doing so but the Prophet did not stop me. Then the Prophet said, ‘(O Jabir.) don’t weep over him, for the angels kept on covering him with their wings till his body was carried away (for burial).’” (Bukhari 5.59.406).

“Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: The Prophet collected every two martyrs of Uhud in one piece of cloth, then he would ask, “Which of them had (knew) more of the Qur’an?” When one of them was pointed out for him, he would put that one first in the grave and say, “I will be a witness on these on the Day of Resurrection.” He ordered them to be buried with their blood on their bodies and they were neither washed nor was a funeral prayer offered for them.” (Bukhari 2.23.427)

Muhammad’s words in hadiths that are deemed authentic are normative for Islamic law, and Islamic law consequently states: “It is unlawful to wash the body of a martyr (O: even if in a state of major ritual impurity (janaba) or the like) or perform the funeral prayer over him. A martyr (shahid) means someone who died in battle with non-Muslims (O: from fighting them, as opposed to someone who died otherwise, such as a person killed out of oppression when not in battle, or who died from fighting non-polytheists, such as (N: Muslim) transgressors).” — Reliance of the Traveller g4.20

 So what has been taken by Rex Tillerson and the world as a great show of Muslim rejection of terrorism is actually a display of Muslim adherence to Islamic law, acceptance of terrorist deaths as Islamic martyrdom, and application of Muhammad’s dictum “war is deceit.”

SA Conservative Senator Cory Bernardi says the Saudi football team should go and play “somewhere else” after members refused to observe a minute’s silence before the World Cup qualifier in Adelaide last night.

Another SA Australian Conservatives politician, Dennis Hood, went a step further to say the incident warranted a reassessment of the country’s immigration policy.

One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson described the Saudi players’ behaviour as “a total disgrace”.

Senator Hanson wrote on Facebook: “Why is it that everyone’s culture must be respected except our own?

“How anyone can justify not observing a minutes silence for the victims of the London bombing, including the two Australian girls, is beyond me.

“A total disgrace.”

The outrage was sparked when the Socceroos gathered around the centre circle on Thursday night before kick-off to pay their respects to the victims of the recent terror attacks in London.

The Australian team lined up with their arms interlocked to observe the tribute. But the Saudi Arabian team refused to line up opposite their opponents.

An angry Senator Bernardi said Australians had had a “gutful” of people from Middle Eastern backgrounds failing to respect the nation’s values.

Muslim leaders want ‘safe space’ where their youngsters can rant.

Islamic leaders are demanding the Victorian government use taxpayer’s money to provide safe places for angry young Muslims.

The Islamic Council of Victoria proposed that funding for the federal counter-terrorism and anti-extremism programs be diverted to create refuges where “emotionally overloaded” youths can voice inflammatory comments.

“Muslim young people are feeling more emotionally overloaded,” the submission to a parliamentary inquiry into freedom of religion states.

“A safe space is needed for them to meet and talk about a range of issues in emotional terms, where they can be frank and even use words which in a public space would sound inflammatory.

3AW radio host Tom Elliot told Sunrise that using taxpayer’s money to fund the proposal was “quite possibly the dumbest idea” he had ever heard.

“What they are effectively saying is they want a tax-payer funded place where they can say things that otherwise they wouldn’t be allowed to say.”

CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour, who challenged the Russian foreign minister with a photo of ‘Aleppo boy’, should go and ask the child and his family for the real story behind the iconic picture, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Omran Daqneesh was filmed by the controversial White Helmets group last year. The image of him covered in blood and dust sitting in an orange ambulance chair in the aftermath of an airstrike quickly went viral.

The Western mainstream media touted the boy as the face of civilian suffering in Aleppo, which at the time was divided between pro-government and rebel forces and suffered under intensive fighting.

Amanpour used the picture of Daqneesh in her October interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to question Russia’s support of Damascus in the Syrian conflict.

“What do you say to the civilians, who are simply asking for the right to not be bombed?” she asked after showing the photo. “That is a war crime, sir.”

Daqneesh resurfaced in world media this month after his family agreed to talk to some journalists, including RT’s Ruptly news agency. His father Mohammad Kheir Daqneesh accused the White Helmets of using his family to produce propaganda.

On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova challenged Amanpour to properly follow up on the story she once put forth.

“She may have enough courage, journalistic professional ethics and simple human conscience to finish it. To go to Aleppo, to go to Syria, find the family of that boy and do a really honest interview with him, not a staged one, which CNN is so capable of,” Zakharova said.

“You may ask some possibly difficult questions and produce a true report about this boy. About how the US media have been spinning his photo and his story and for years the fate of Syria as well,” she added.

Zakharova added that the mainstream media, including the CNN, “have been caught red-handed” with their use of the “Aleppo boy” image, and should take responsibility for it.

RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan offered help in organizing an interview.

“We could take Christiane Amanpour and anyone wishing to come with us next time. As long as they have the courage to talk to this boy Omran and his family,” she said.

The Saudi team is composed primarily (?) of Muslims.

An Islamic imam has suggested the Saudi Arabian team refused to take part in a minute’s silence for the London terror victims because they believe ‘it is not a sin for a Muslim to kill a non-believer’.

Sheikh Mohammad Tawhidi says it is a ‘lie’ to say the Muslim culture does not remember the dead with a moment of silence, and instead argues the football team did not partake in the mourning because they stand with the jihadist men.

‘They did not stop for a moment of silence because according to Wahhabi Islam – which governs Saudi Arabia – it is not wrong or a sin for a Muslim to kill a non-Muslim,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

In their eyes the attackers are martyrs who are going to paradise. And if they stand for a minute of silence they are against their Muslim brothers who fought for jihad and fought the “infidels”,’ he said.

Sheikh Tawidi also added the team would have been ‘ridiculed’ back home if they had commemorated the victims of the London terrorist attack. 

But this may not be the view of every player within the Saudi team, he pointed out.

A Red Cross therapist who helped treat asylum seekers was stabbed to death by a 27-year-old Syrian after the pair got into a heated argument.

The fatal stabbing occurred at a Red Cross facility in Saarbrücken that specialised in counselling and therapy for asylum seekers. The victim, a therapist employed by the Red Cross, was repeatedly stabbed by the Syrian and succumbed to his wounds at the scene, Die Welt reports.

Police say the attack occurred during a counselling session and say the asylum seeker got into a heated argument with the therapist. The Syrian then brought out a knife which he had on his person and used it to commit the deadly attack.

Police have not said what caused the conflict but noted the Syrian had also been injured in the incident and had to be taken to the hospital. Consequently, police have not been able to interrogate him. They have not released the identity of the attacker or the victim in the case so far.

German Red Cross President Rudolf Seiters briefly commented on the attack saying that he was “shocked”. The organisation said they are mourning the death of the therapist who they called a “meritorious” employee.

The Red Cross has been criticised in Germany in the past when last year they were accusedof covering up sexual abuse in one their asylum centres in Potsdam.

The allegations were brought forward by a former employee who wrote a letter saying female staff were sexually harassed by male migrants and the manager of the asylum home chose to cover up the issue rather than address it.

A similar murder of an asylum centre worker by a migrant occurred in Sweden last year when Alexandra Mezher was stabbed to death by a Somali asylum seeker. Ms. Mezher got involved in a dispute between migrants and as a result was attacked by the Somalian who claimed to be underage at the time but was later revealed to be an adult.

Earlier this week, another asylum home murder occurred in Germany when an Afghan asylum seeker stabbed a five-year-old child to death. The 41-year-old Afghan was already known to police and had a prior conviction for attempted murder by arson and was forced to wear an ankle monitor.

Premier Daniel Andrews says he’s “very troubled” by the Islamic Council of Victoria’s suggestion for safe spaces where Muslim youth “could be radical”.

The council made a submission asking for taxpayer-funded “safe spaces” where young Muslims can express themselves openly, even if those views are “inflammatory”.

Mr Andrews says he is very concerned about their proposal and the council’s state funding will be reviewed.

“There is no safe way to rail against the West. There is no safe way to rail against the values that we hold dear,” Mr Andrews told reporters.

“I am very troubled by the suggestion that we might have a space where people could be radical as part of a deradicalisation program. That makes no sense to me whatsoever.”

Andrews should know that resisting Islamic demands causes jihad. We have it coming. We brought it upon ourselves.

The ex-wife of one of the London Bridge terrorists has said she is ‘deeply shocked, saddened and numbed’ by his actions.

Charisse O’Leary, the estranged wife of Moroccan-born Rachid Redouane, spoke today for the first time since the atrocity in which eight died and 48 were injured.

In a statement, she said: ‘My thoughts and efforts now are with trying to bring up my daughter with the knowledge that someday I will have to try and explain to her why her father did what he did.’

O’Leary married Redouane – who has previously claimed to be both Libyan and Moroccan – after he failed to get asylum to live in the UK. They later had a daughter, who is now one year old.

Ms Smith apologised after one of her followers pointed out that the photo was in fact taken at a Coles store, though she stood by her comments.

Woolworths, which has similar signs at its supermarkets, responded with its own tweet defending the promotion.

‘Whilst this isn’t a Woolworths store, we’re proud to support a range of cultures and religious events for customers including Ramadan,’ the tweet read.

Ms Smith hit back and maintained her stance, telling Woolworths the signs promote oppression.

‘I made the correction and said it was Coles and noted that Woolworths also promotes Ramadan. Proud to promote Islam = oppression & violence,’ she wrote.
