Host Paul Barry of Australia’s “leading forum for media analysis,” Media Watch, has openly stated that the Australian Broadcasting Network (ABC) hired Muslim host Yassmin Abdel Magied solely because she is a Muslim. Now Andrew Bolt in the Herald Sun is accusing the ABC network of being “racist and pro-Muslim in its hiring.” When one looks at the evidence, it’s certainly enough to question the hiring practices of the ABC.

Two-and-a-half months ago, a petition that demanded that ABC fire Magied for her open support for Sharia gained 10,600 signatures. The Daily Mail also reported that Magied “reached out to global hardline Islamist political group Hizb ut-Tahrir after her polarising television appearance, where she declared Islam to be ‘the most feminist religion.’” There’s more: on Anzac Day, Magied insulted Australian history when she tactlessly wrote on Facebook: “Lest we forget (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine),” provoking a social media outcry.

The leftist media has long proven itself “tolerant” toward Sharia-pushing Muslims, despite the clear human rights abuses that are practiced under sharia law, but the brazenness of the ABC is telling. Says Bolt:

Note that all the women covering their heads. The ABC seems to have no interest in hiring women who have left Islam or who have their head uncovered and thus are not identifiably Muslim.

Counter-terrorism police raided the home of a relative of notoriousIslamic State fighter Khaled Sharrouf over fears of an Anzac Day attack.

It followed the emergence of a fresh video of the Sydney terrorist urging his youngest son Humzah, eight, who is armed with a knife, to kill Australians and non-Muslims.

A spokeswoman for the Minister for Justice and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Counter-Terrorism Michael Kennan confirmed their office was aware of police operations in NSW on Anzac Day related to terrorist activity.

The menacing video believed to have been made in Syria was exposed in The Sunday Telegraph at the weekend. It is not known when it was made.

State and federal police targeted the relative after becoming aware of a conversation between him and Sharrouf involving the video.

“The NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team (JCTT) conducted a search of a house in Peakhurst on Tuesday April 25th under the auspices of a Firearms Prohibition Order,” a NSW Police Force spokesman confirmed.

The man’s house was raided early on Anzac Day but no guns or weapons were found.

Sharrouf, who in 2013 used his brother’s passport to flee to Syria and join IS, was thought to have die in a coalition air strike that killed his friend, the former Sydney boxer and fellow jihadi Mohamed Elomar.

An Islamic sheikh who speaks out against radicalisation and sharia law has been cursed and spat at while walking down the street in the Muslim heartland of Sydney.

Shia imam Sheikh Mohammad Tawhidi was mobbed with abuse only moments after strolling along Haldon Street in Lakemba, which is home to Australia’s largest mosque.

A man shouted in Arabic as he ventured past shops with 7News reporter Bryan Seymour shortly before noon on Monday.

Asked by what the insult meant, Sheikh Tawhidi said: ‘It means, ‘May God curse you, you pig, you dog.’

Sheikh Tawhidi, who moved to Australia from Iraq when he was 12 in 1995, said this was the first time he had experienced abuse of this nature.

‘We were abused, spat at, insulted, called pigs and dogs and they gathered to try and intimidate us,’ the Adelaide-based religious leader told Daily Mail Australia shortly after the incident.

‘I have never been insulted or abused in Australia by any non-Muslim.
