One reporter, at least, tried yesterday to ask Labor leader Bill Shorten and deputy Tanya Plibersek about Labor’s craven betrayal of Israel in exchange for Muslim votes in Western Sydney:

JOURNALIST: Can I just ask you a few questions on other matters. On the ALP’s position on Palestine and National Conference – 

PLIBERSEK: Sorry, I don’t think today is the day for these other questions.

SHORTEN: I concur with Tanya. There will be plenty of times to ask us questions.

Well, how about today, then?

Amani Al-Khatahtbeh’s profile is as stereotypical as an Islamo agitprop can be. Her enemy is Pamela Geller, to whom she offers “a lesson”.  The idiocy of her approach is laughable, as it comes with the usual “hate speech” and “racist”  hyperbole. She claims that she, the Muslim, is selling ‘love’, while Pamela Geller, a true American freedom fighter and a Jew, is “selling hate”.  In true form, Amani doesn’t shy away from threats:

“It’s public knowledge by now that depictions of Prophet Muhammad are forbidden and offensive to Muslims, so as to not deify who we believe to be the final messenger of the one true God. Unfortunately, some severely misguided people take this to the extreme and respond to Muhammad depictions in unspeakable ways.”

Here we go again: “Its public knowledge”, she claims. Draw Muhammad and you might get yourself killed.

A Baltimore city councilman has lashed out furiously against an CNN anchor who called rioters ‘thugs.’

‘Just call them n*****s,’ Carl Stoke wryly told CNN’s Erin Bernett live on air.

Before asking Stokes what he thought about the word, Burnett pointed out that Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and President Barack Obama had both chosen to use the word.

Australian Jews are reminded again that Labor represents danger, not help. It is driven by demographics, not principle. Simply put, there are more Muslim votes that Jewish in Labor marginal seats:

NSW Right power broker Tony Burke will lead the push for a historic shift in Labor’s position on the recognition of a Palestinian state at the party’s July national conference, under an agreement hammered out with Bill Shorten.

Mr Burke will propose a resolution at conference expected to mirror that put at NSW Labor conference last July. It stated if no progress was made towards a two-state solution “and Israel continues to build and expand settlements, a future Labor government will consult like-minded nations towards recognition of the Palestinian state”.

To know where Tony Burke is coming from:

Labor frontbencher Tony Burke, for instance, represents the Sydney seat of Watson, which now has an astonishing 20 per cent of Muslim voters. In fact, of the 20 seats with the most Muslim voters, many in western Sydney, Labor holds all but one.

It shows. Two years ago, the Gillard government dropped support for Israel in the United Nations after foreign minister Bob Carr spent an hour with prime minister Julia Gillard, as The Australian reported, “explaining the electoral problems in Sydney”.

Added The Sydney Morning Herald: “Many MPs in western Sydney, who are already fearful of losing their seats, are coming under pressure from constituents with a Middle East background.”

Last September, the Mufti of Australia even wrote to Labor members warning that union boss Paul Howe had a “bias” towards Israel, and if he became a senator, Labor would lose the Muslim votes that helped “successfully retain the majority of ALP seats in Western Sydney”. Howes was stopped.

To know just what Tony Burke will say to win Muslim votes at an Australia Palestine Advocacy Network Fundraising Dinner:

If you are serious about justice, then we need to acknowledge and acknowledge the truth, that all Israeli settlements on Palestinian land are illegal. If we’re serious about speaking the truth then we must unequivocally be able to say that East Jerusalem is occupied…

For those who are political advocates within Palestine itself, I will never know the bravery that comes with putting your life on the line and at risk, in engaging in politics in different ways.

I’d bet many of Burke’s audience heard that as an implicit endorsement of Palestinian terrorism.

Jewish members of Labor should be fighting like fury against this dangerous pandering. Where are they?

NSW Labor leader Luke Foley announced today that any Labor MPs receiving assisted travel to Israel would be expected to spend an equivalent time in the West Bank and/or Gaza to hear the case of the Palestinians…

“This arrangement will mean MPs understand the Palestinian as well as the Israeli case,” Mr Foley said. 

Will Foley now insist that every NSW MP visiting China spend equal time in Taiwan? Every MP visiting South Korea spend equal time in North Korea?

Dr Kamleh was by all accounts a good Muslim and reconnected with his faith. But our bleeding hearts don’t see it that way.

Jihadi medic Tareq Kamleh ‘may die because of leaks’

A senior Royal Adelaide Hospital medico who worked with Islamic State recruit Tareq Kamleh has accused colleagues who have spoken to the media of putting his life at risk, suggesting Kamleh’s “jihad” may be “his own way of atoning for his behaviour”.

The Australian on Monday quoted former colleagues saying Kamleh had engaged in sexually predatory behaviour during his time as a medical student, intern and registrar in South Australia.

In a propaganda video posted online late last week, Perth-raised Kamleh, the child of a Palestinian ­father and German mother who converted to Islam, urged fellow Muslim medical professionals to join Islamic State.

Royal Adelaide Hospital clinical associate professor Ken Lim responded to the media coverage with several strident posts on Facebook, telling colleagues it was “sad” people felt it necessary to share their views with journ­alists.

“Of course his exploits were loose and unethical — if any of the stories he told us were true — but maybe this jihad is his own way of atoning for his behaviour, however misguided it is — he won’t ever have a chance to ­explain himself,” Professor Lim wrote. “There’s no doubt he would’ve hurt people along the way, but gossiping to the media is just vindictive, especially where personal opinion seeps in — a la The Australian article quoting someone who believed he was ‘completely confused about his identity’. It will only cause more grief to his family, and possibly get his head chopped off … then I wonder whether anyone who whispered to the media will think it was worth it?”

In a subsequent post, Professor Lim told people they needed to stop “#feeding­thebuzz” by talking to the media and posting on Facebook.

“I’m not condoning his current or former actions, but if you can make that moral judgment with his history, (that) he ‘should’ve expected this’, then by exposing him you are being just as reckless with the consequences as he was. He may die because of what has been leaked.”
