During his visit to Vienna, Netherlander Geert Wilders compared the Koran with Hitler’s Mein Kampf. A Muslim organization notified the Vienna prosecutor’s office.

The speech of the Netherlands politician, given last week in the Hofburg at the invitation of the FPÖ, setting forth his thoughts on the “Islamization of Europe,” will be examined by the public prosecutor. Christopher Pyne asks al-Taqwa principal to explain himself after Islamic State comments

Federal Education Minister Christopher Pyne has asked the principal of al-Taqwa College to explain why he told students that Islamic State was a Western plot.

The move comes as a former teacher at the school said principal Omar Hallak also told students that Israel did not exist and Jews were horrible people.

Mr Pyne condemned the principal’s controversial statements on Wednesday and said he would write to al-Taqwa, which is the largest Islamic School in Victoria, seeking an explanation.

Mr Pyne will also write to Victorian Education Minister James Merlino to ask what action the Education Department is taking.

“The comments of the al-Taqwa College principal are wrong and damaging,” he said.

Ajit Somers taught at the school in 2001 and said Mr Hallak had “shockingly” anti-Semitic views.

Sweden Reverses Human Rights Stand to Restore Saudi Ties

Sweden’s King and Prime Minister sent conciliatory letters to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman after Sweden criticized Saudi Arabia’s human rights.

Saudi Arabia has restored its ambassador to Sweden after a diplomatic spat sparked by Swedish criticism of Saudi human rights abuses.

Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Margot Wallstrom, had called the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a “dictatorship” and said that the kingdom’s flogging of Raif Badawi was ‘medieval.’ She also strongly criticized Saudi Arabia’s record on women’s rights.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world where women are not allowed to drive. All women and girls are also required to have a male guardian under Saudi law. In most cases, women in the kingdom are forbidden from travelling, doing business, marrying, divorcing, opening a bank account  – even undergoing certain medical procedures – without the permission of their male guardian.

Sweden cancelled a lucrative arms export contract with Saudi Arabiashortly afterwards, as Wallstrom was blocked from speaking at the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) in response to her comments. The cancellation of the arms deal prompted the withdrawal of Saudi Arabia’s ambassador, the denial of business visas in Saudi Arabia to Swedish citizens, and shortly afterwards, the withdrawal of the United Arab Emirates’ ambassador to Sweden.
