Entire families from Germany are moving to the region to join the jihad.

Here on Winds of Jihad we exposed  the smarmy, slimy CNN-News-wipe Muslim Fareed Zakaria, on quite a few occasions: Zakaria was born in Mumbai, India to a Muslim family. His father, Rafiq Zakaria, was a politician associated with the Indian National Congress and an Islamic scholar.

At least 90 people, including 40 civilians, have been killed in northernAfghanistan after Nato launched an air strike on two fuel tankers hijacked by the Taliban, officials said today.

Militants seized the two trucks, which were delivering jet fuel to Nato forces, around midnight. The alliance launched the strike in Kunduz province as the Taliban fighters tried to drive the vehicles across a river, the police chief Gulam Mohyuddin said.

Afghan officials said the attack had killed 90 people, including 40 civilians. The provincial governor, Mohammad Omar, told Reuters the dead included villagers who had gathered to collect fuel from the tankers.

Nato confirmed there was an air strike in Kunduz overnight.

KABUL, Afghanistan – A suicide car bomb outside the Indian Embassy killed 41 people and wounded nearly 150 others Monday, ripping through the building’s reinforced walls and scattering bodies and pools of blood across some of Kabul’s most protected streets.

Like other recent high-profile attacks, Afghanistan quickly blamed Pakistan, India’s archrival, for the blast, which was the deadliest in Kabul since the fall of the Taliban in 2001.

Noordin Top arrested, Baitullah Masood roasted

A small setback for Islam terror. These half-assed efforts won’t make a dent in the jihad ideology:

ASIA’S most wanted terrorist Noordin Mohammed Top has been arrested, according to reports.

Indonesian police have not confirmed the arrest, but they have reported an armed standoff with gunmen in a suspected hideout of Top, the alleged mastermind of terror attacks that resulted in about 100 Australian deaths. Shooting erupted after crack counter-terrorism police surrounded a house in rural Central Java as part of investigations into last month’s twin suicide bombings on hotels in the capital Jakarta, he said.

Pakistan’s Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud, who led a violent campaign of suicide attacks and assassinations against the Pakistani government, has been killed in a US missile strike, a militant commander and aide to Mehsud said on Friday… Mehsud has al-Qaeda connections and has been suspected in the killing of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

* Sure, the death or the arrest of leading headbangers show at least that the whole war-machinery is not in vain. But we all know that they breed faster than we can eradicate them. So don’t call it “victory” just yet…

afghanistanThe Obama administration is actively  encouraging Islamic terrorists like the Taliban by tying the hands of our soldiers: new rules of engagement reduce soldiering to policing,  the terrorists enjoy miranda rights, something so preposterous and absurd that it makes your head spin. Instead of killing our enemies, we lose men and materiel for nonsensical sloganeering, like “winning hearts and minds”. Under such conditions, any war effort is in vain. The terrorists know that and are biting their time….

The Taliban calls upon Afghans not to participate in the elections — or else. Note the strong Islamic character of their appeal to Afghans: the single most important foundation of their attempts to win people over to their side is the one that is routinely ignored and discounted by the learned analysts.

Note also the quotation of Qur’an 5:51 about not taking Jews and Christians as friends and protectors — a verse that Islamic apologists in the West routinely claim is without any valid contemporary force and essentially meaningless.

Whether the Polish geologist acted out of pride or religious conviction, he decided to pay through his blood to save his faith, a choice that bewildered his killers and keep them talking about him with respect after his murder.

Afridi heads a small group of Taliban in the Orakzai tribal district and is loyal to Baitullah Mehsud, the chief of local Taliban who has a 5-million-dollar bounty on his head for being an al-Qaeda facilitator. Pakistani troops have recently been ordered to take decisive action against Mehsud.

Stanczak, 42, was kidnapped September 28 on his way to survey for oil exploration in Attock district, of Pakistan’s eastern province of Punjab. The kidnappers also killed his driver and two guards.Militants released a gruesome seven-minute video in early February showing his beheading. One of the murderers blamed the Pakistani government which failed to accept their demands for the release of detained militants.When negotiations between the representatives of the Pakistani government and the hostage-takers failed, the Taliban leadership gave the Polish man a last chance to save himself, Stanczak’s captors revealed to another hostage, a Pakistani man Mohammad Amir.

Anjem Choudary - I read in The Metro this morning, has converted – in an impromptu street-corner ceremony on an 11 year old boy “to Islam” without obtaining his parent’s consent. The boy was apparently “coaxed onto the platform at an Islamic ‘roadshow’ in Birmingham”.

It is obviously the type of stunt to outrage the public and generate publicity that Choudary revels in. What concerns me more is this:

“The ‘reversion’ of such a young boy without parental consent was condemned as ‘unethical’ by Sheikh Ibrahim Mogra, a member of the Muslim Council of Britain”

I notice Mr Mogra doesn’t declare the ‘conversion’ invalid. He only says that it is ‘unethical’ to perform the conversion in this way. Now from what I’m led to believe, in Islam, conversion is a one-way street. Abandoning Islam after conversion – a sort of spiritual buyer’s remorse, at it were – could be consideredapostasy, which, to Islamic fundamentalists, is a very serious ‘crime’.

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai’a) arrested Wednesday seven persons for “breaking their fast” during daylight hours in Ramadan. Hai’a spokesman in the Northern Border province Abdullah Al-Musheiti said that the arrests came during Hai’a campaigns in streets and districts, and that the seven had “been handed over to the authorities concerned”.

Someone ought to tell the Muttawa that Islam doesn’t approve of their actions.

(Actually, how Muslims interpret the Quranic verse “There is no compulsion in religion,” 2:256, is fascinating, at least in this article I found. In short, it appears that this particular command has either been abrogated or must be radically re-interpreted in light of later actions by Mohammed.)

Deadly ‘drone attack’ hits Pakistan

A Taliban leader who criticised the group’s Pakistani head of command over attacks that killed two civilians has been shot dead, reportedly by one of his own guards.

The shooting of Qari Zainuddin on Tuesday appears to indicate the deepening of divisions within the Taliban as Pakistan’s military conducts an operation to rid the Swat valley and South Waziristan of Taliban strongholds.

Zainuddin, who was shot dead in the town of Dera Ismail Khan in the southern tip of the North West Frontier Province, had emerged as Baitullah Mehsud’s chief rival.
