Taliban leader orders followers to kill soldiers women and children…

* Again, we hear no protests from the ‘Islamic world’- that same Muslim ummah that constantly whines about “civilians, wedding parties, innocent women & children” being killed by those evil American soldiers is mute, blind and deaf when it comes to Taliban atrocities. Why could that be?

Paki government vows to wipe out Taliban from Swat in the next 2-3 days

  • I’m not holding my breath:

Moorthy S. Muthuswamy:

The United States fails to understand Pakistan – whose army, not incidentally, sports the motto “Faith, piety, and holy war in the path of Allah” – for what it is: a member state of what the author calls “the axis of jihad,” which also includes Saudi Arabia and Iran. These three nations – with their arm’s-length proxy armies of the Taliban, al Qaeda and Hezbollah – are the most aggressive purveyors of what the book describes as “political Islam,” the jihadist creed based on Islamic doctrine that is destabilizing the world, from India’s Kashmir region to Britain’s old mill towns, from all of Israel to Parisian banlieues. Some interesting Fox News opinions on the Taliban and truces: “Truces Mean Nothing to Nuts,” by Greg Gutfeld for Fox News, May 28, JW:

On Tuesday, the Pakistani Taliban decided that it wants a peace deal — kind of like the one they had originally before they ramped up killing and maiming people in awful ways (which to them, is basic yard work.) And then, quickly and appropriately, they got their hairy asses handed to them on a goat.

No wonder they’re up for a truce!

And here we find another lesson on how the world really works: Truces mean nothing to people consumed by fanatic ideology. And a resident fool, I’m willing to suggest it’s the very unwillingness to compromise that makes them fanatics! And vice versa.

One Day Sunni, Next Day Shiite

Afghanistan destroys books deemed insulting to Sunnis

“Books like these are more dangerous than Taliban bullets,” Gov. Ghulam Dastagir Azad told The Associated Press.

In the recent case, it was a load of pro-Shi’ite books from Iran that was destined for the bottom of the Helmand River. Ironically, the Afghan government has thus ignited sectarian strife by supposedly aiming to prevent it. And the question remains: are they concerned about Shi’ite Islam as a vehicle for Iranian influence, or simply because it is not Sunni Islam? Beyond that, there are several points of interest:

First, transparency is a prized attribute of a functional government, at least in the Western sense; it does not co-exist well with official corruption. But when a society and a government believes it is permissible to lie or equivocate in order to smooth things over or guard against non-believers (cf. Qur’an 3:28), there exists a disastrous precedent for how the government may do business when officials think no one is looking.

Second, the principle is expandable: What else will the government suppress in order not to “insult” this or that brand of Islam? Quite a bit, if the case of Syed Parwez Kambakhsh is any indication. And that begs the question of what kind of government Western forces are spending untold amounts of blood and treasure to prop up.

Above all, however, the story belies the harmony that would supposedly break out under a pure Islamic state: To say nothing of unbelievers, there could be no harmony as long as everyone was not in agreement about the “purity” of said state, and its fidelity to and enforcement of Sharia law. Even without the sense of entitlement of the “true believers” to govern and the call for open-ended warfare against unbelievers, stories like this make quite a case for the separation of religion and state.

Islamo agit prop Yusuf Irfan did his own little Abu Laban jihad, when he tried to follow the playbook of the deceased  instigator  of ‘cartoon Rage’,  who was so successful in stirring up kuffar-hatred a few years ago.

Yusuf tried to whip up a bit of fake outrage over US-troops,  accused  by Al Jizz  of evangelizing and handing out Bibles in Afghanistan. What could be a worse crime?

Somehow the ummah, which always spins like Iranian centrifuges, just didn’t take notice. Or could it be that they’re just getting tired of their own fanatical frenzy which, according to Winston Churchill, is more dangerous than ‘hydrophobia in a dog?’

The malevolent Abu Laban  kicked the bucket since,  but the dreaded cartoons of blasphemy made history, when the soldiers of Allah went on  worldwide rampages that saw burning embassies and over hundred people killed in the process  (Muslims usually kill each other, when there are no infidels to murder and terrorize…)

All in all a classic case of incitement. As a lawyer Yusuf should know which laws apply for subversion and inciting violence . If the Fed’s are not onto him yet, concerned readers should bring it to their attention.

Irfan should at least be on a watch list. His incitement could have worked. The stirring could have resulted in hundreds, if not thousands of Yusuf’s co-religionists running amok, smashing stuff and killing people.

Whatever you do, have a nice day. And no matter how you do it, don’t forget to flush!

“Only the Taliban had enforced sharia when they were in power in Afghanistan

  • With thanks to the Elder of Ziyon
From the Daily Times (Pakistan):

LAHORE: It is un-Islamic for anyone to be photographed, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi (TNSM) chief Sufi Muhammad has said.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said any duplicated image of a person, whether a “still picture or video” was un-Islamic. Referring to the various systems of governance, he said democracy, communism, socialism and fascism were all un-Islamic. He also said there was no need for a constitution in the country in the presence of the Quran and Sunnah, adding these were the “biggest laws” available to humanity. Focusing on democracy, he said it was un-Islamic, as infidels invented it.

Sufi Muhammad said the sharia system of governance not currently in force anywhere in the world, not even Saudi Arabia or Iran.Only the Taliban had enforced sharia when they were in power in Afghanistan,” he added.
On the status of women in a Taliban-run society, he said women were not allowed to come out of their house for any reason other than to perform Haj. However, he added, a female patient was allowed to visit a male doctor to seek a cure for her ailments.

Glad he cleared that up, heh!

Diana West: Time to Pull the Plug on Afghanistan!

West: “Trying to transform Afghanistan into an anti-jihad, anti-Sharia player…is like trying to roll Sisyphus’ rock up the hill”

afghan-385_421499a

As we have long noted here, in a state like Afghanistan, the proponents of Sharia will never accept a democratic republic — it’s Islamic law or war. So what exactly are U.S. forces going to accomplish there?  (Or, in the words of Sheik yer’mami: “is it progress if we teach cannibals to use fork and knife?)

“Let Afghanistan Go,” by Diana West, April 23 (thanks to JW):

[…] Don’t get me wrong: If killing small bands of Taliban is in the best interest of the United States, I’m for it. But I do not believe it is — and certainly not as part of the grand strategy conceived first by the Bush administration and now expanded by the Obama administration to turn Afghanistan into a state capable of warding off what is daintily known as “extremism,” but is, in fact, bona-fide jihad to advance Sharia (Islamic law). Anybody remember Sisyphus? Well, trying to transform Afghanistan into an anti-jihad, anti-Sharia player — let alone functional nation — is like trying to roll Sisyphus’ rock up the hill.

This is not to suggest that there is no war or enemies to fight, which is what both the Left and the Paleo-Right will say; there most certainly are. But sinking all possible men, materiel and bureaucracy into Afghanistan, as the Obama people and most conservatives favor, to try to bring a corrupt Islamic culture into working modernity while simultaneously fighting Taliban and wading deep into treacherous Pakistani wars is no way to victory — at least not to U.S. victory. On the contrary, it is the best way to bleed and further degrade U.S. military capabilities. Indeed, if I were a jihad chieftain, I couldn’t imagine a better strategy than to entrap tens of thousands of America’s very best young men in an open-ended war of mortal hide-and-seek in the North West Frontier.

I decided to ask someone with real military experience how we could fend off jihad without further digging ourselves into Central Asia. I called up retired Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, one of the few top military leaders who talks on the record, to ask for his strategy recommendation for Afghanistan.

“Basically, let it go,” he said.

Find out why. Read it all.

New Afghan law does not allow marital rape… but lets men refuse to feed wives who deny them sex, says cleric

Well, that should keep everybody happy, no? Sounds like  the result of some ‘outreach-program’- because after all it was the women who said  “We do not want total freedom. We wanted it to be limited and to be within Islam.”

“If you speak of human rights or women rights in Afghanistan you get accused of having converted to Christianity.”

Ayatollah Mohammed Asef Mohseni

Afghan cleric Ayatollah Mohammed Asef Mohseni claimed the law he devised did not condone marital rape (Note the ‘zebibah’ on his forehead, the mark of a serious headbanger…/ed)

A new Afghan law that has drawn Western condemnation for restricting women’s rights does not allow marital rape as its critics claim, but lets men refuse to feed wives who deny them sex, the cleric behind it says.

Ayatollah Mohammed Asef Mohseni’s Shi’ite personal status law sparked controversy abroad because of a provision that ‘a wife is obliged to fulfil the sexual desires of her husband’.

This was read by some as an open door to marital rape, and together with clauses restricting women’s freedom of movement denounced as reminiscent of harsh Taliban-era rules.

The law has been criticised by Western leaders with troops fighting in Afghanistan, including U.S. President Barack Obama, who called it ‘abhorrent’. Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, who signed the law last month, has since put it under review.

Hillary backs reconciliation talks with Taliban “if they are willing to abandon violence”

APTOPIX Democrats UnionsHillary: Yes, the “war on terror” really is over

So apparently, if they are willing to abandon violence and pursue their goal of implementing Islamic law by other means, that is just fine with her. Here is yet another demonstration of the danger of misdiagnosis of the global jihad threat: the problem is not the means the Taliban use, the problem is their goal. The Taliban are not bad because they are violent — after all, so are the forces that oppose them. However, as far as the President and the Secretary of State are concerned, that is the only problem with them. If they try to accomplish their goals at the ballot box rather than with guns and bombs, Obama and Clinton would welcome them as partners. The fact that the Taliban want to impose a law upon Afghanistan that would subjugate women and non-Muslims as inferiors, denied equality of rights with Muslim men, and extinguish freedom of speech and freedom of conscience, means nothing to them.

And why should it? Karzai’s Afghanistan is already a Sharia state, according to the Afghan Constitution.
