It’s hard to believe but Marie, Brigitte and Ariel are all having prophetic dreams even though their dad is a mere mortal engineer mathematician. It sounds like Bewitched and Tabitha. The bottom line is that we are all far better off using our own minds and our own common sense. Nevertheless, Nostradamus has been so unbelievably accurate so far that his anti-Christ prophecies can hardly be ignored. Remember however that Nostradamus himself said that he was writing his prophecies in code in order to escape death from the Inquisition.

(IsraelNN.com)-Â A highly influential Shi’a religious leader, with whom Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad regularly consults, apparently told followers last month that coercion by means of rape, torture and drugs is acceptable against all opponents of the Islamic regime.

In the wake of a series ofÂ publications worldwide regarding theÂ rapeand torture of dissident prisoners in Iran’s jails, supporters of Ahmadinejad gathered with him in Jamkaran, a popular pilgrimage site for Shi’ite Muslims on the outskirts of Qom, on August 11, 2009. According to Iranian pro-democracy sources, the gathered crowd heard from Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi and Ahmadinejad himself regarding the issue.

…….”Can anÂ interrogator rape the prisoner in order to obtain a confession?” was the follow-up question posed to the Islamic cleric.

Mesbah-Yazdi answered: “The necessary precaution is for the interrogator to perform a ritual washing first and say prayers while raping the prisoner. If the prisoner is female, it is permissible to rape through the vagina or anus. It is better not to have a witness present. If it is a male prisoner, then it’sÂ acceptable for someone else to watch while the rape is committed.”

“Is the rape of men and young boys considered sodomy?”
One aspect of these permitted rapes troubled certain questioners.

Ayatollah Mesbah-Yazdi: “No, because it is not consensual. Of course, if the prisoner is aroused and enjoys the rape, then caution must be taken not to repeat the rape.”

A related issue, in the eyes of the questioners, was the rape of virgin female prisoners. In this instance, Mesbah-Yazdi went beyond the permissibility issue and described the Allah-sanctioned rewards accorded the rapist-in-the-name-of-Islam:

“If the judgment for the [female] prisoner is execution, then rape before execution brings the interrogator a spiritual reward equivalent to making the mandated Haj pilgrimage [to Mecca], but if there is no execution decreed, then the reward would be equivalent to making a pilgrimage to [the Shi’ite holy city of] Karbala.”

One aspect of these permitted rapes troubled certain questioners: “What if the female prisoner gets pregnant? Is the child considered illegitimate?”

Mesbah-Yazdi answered: “The child borne to any weakling [a denigrating term for women – ed.] who is against the Supreme Leader is considered illegitimate, be it a result of rape by her interrogator or through intercourse with her husband, according to the written word in the Koran. However, if the child is raised by the jailer, then the child is considered a legitimate Shi’a Muslim.”

Al-Azhar University Professor Sabri Abd Al-Raouf: It Is Okay for Bridegroom’s Mother to Smell Bride’s Armpits before Wedding

Following are excerpts from an interview withÂ Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf of Al-Azhar University, which aired on Dream 2 TV on May 1, 2009.

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: The mother [of the bridegroom] and other female relatives may look at the bride’s hair and neck, and may smell her private parts.

Interviewer: Smell what?!

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: Her armpits, for example. Some women and girls sweat, and there are men who are nauseated by this.

Interviewer: So the mother may check to make sure…

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: The mother may go near the bride, in order to check whether she smells good or bad. There is nothing to prevent this. But the groom is forbidden to look at any part of her except her face and hands.

Interviewer: But there is aÂ fatwa that permits him to see whatever his female relatives may see.

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: He is not allowed to see what the female relatives see.

TheÂ khimar is the piece of cloth that women use to cover their heads and the protruding part of their breasts. This is what Islamic law requires.

Interviewer: So what this woman is wearing is not aÂ hijab?

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: Pardon me?

Interviewer: What she and many other girls wear is not a properÂ hijab?

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: I am only looking at you. I’m not looking in her direction.

Interviewer: So you avert your gaze. But what will you do when you watch a re-run of this show?

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: I don’t know…

Interviewer: You are trying to tell me that when you watch TV, and there are women wearing this kind of veil, you avert your gaze?

Prof. Sabri Abd Al-Rauf: I concentrate on my listening, not on my looking. I listen to hear whether what they say is proper or not.

The women asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?” He said, “Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?” They replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn’t it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?” The women replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her religion.”

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) – An Iranian opposition leader said Sunday that detained protesters are alleging male and female prisoners were savagely raped by their jailers to the point of physical and mental damage.Mahdi Karroubi, one of two defeated pro-reform candidates in the disputed June 12 presidential election, said he has received the reports of rapes from former military commanders and other senior officials and he called for an investigation.”A number of detainees have stated that some female detainees were so severely raped that their genitals were damaged. Others savagely raped young boys so that they suffer from depression and serious physical and mental damage,” Karroubi said in a letter posted on his Web site.

He said such crimes, if proven true, would “disgrace” Iran’s Islamic ruling system. He did not name any officials who made the rape claims.

Maryam Rustampoor, 27, and Marzieh Amirizadeh, 30,Â appearedÂ Sunday, August 9,Â in front of a ‘revolutionary court’ in theÂ capital Tehran where they were pressured to return to Islam,Â according toÂ well-informed Christians linked toÂ Elam Ministries,Â a groupÂ supporting Iran’sÂ growing church movement.

“Though great pressure was put on them, both women declared that they would not deny their faith,” the Christians said.

Both women, whoÂ reportedly suffer health problems, were detainedÂ March 5Â for converting to Christianity. TheyÂ enduredÂ solitary confinement, interrogationsÂ “for many hours while blindfolded” and other mistreatment in Tehran’s Evin prison,Â well-informed Christians said.

On Radio DRS Â the Swiss Foreign Minister and Ahmadinejad-hussy Calmy-Rey spoke Â against the anti-minaret initiative. The proposed ban on minarets infringes on freedom of religion and was also a danger for the economy and security in Switzerland. “It is as if we would ban church towers,” she said. (well, Calmy Rey already contradicts herself in the next sentence, because banning church towers is unlikely to result in terrorism/ed)

Another critical point was the backlash Â in the Muslim world against Â Switzerland, which the adoption of the initiative could trigger. With reference to the impact of the cartoon controversy in Denmark Â the anti-minaret initiative Â was also dangerous for the foreign policy and relations between Switzerland and other countries. Above all, trade with Arab countries is at stake and Switzerland can’t alienate the Arabs.

One simmering controversy over the Iran protests was over whether the protesters simply wanted to install Mir Hussein Mousavi as President and continue living in a Sharia state, or whether they wanted to overthrow the Islamic Republic altogether. It seems likely that some wanted one and some wanted the other.

In any case, the evidence that some brought forward to show that the protesters had no problem with Sharia was lacking, to say the least: Mousavi is indeed an establishment figure in the Islamic Republic with a sinister past, but that in itself didn’t establish that every demonstrator who took to the streets in Iran was doing so because he or she positively endorsed Mousavi, his program, and his resume. He became a focus of the protests, but as Pamela Geller notesÂ hereÂ of the Iranian voters, their choices were limited: “it was not as if they could write in Ronald Reagan’s name.”

Nor did the fact that the protesters have been shouting “Allahu akbar” necessarily indicate a wholehearted endorsement of Iranian theocracy. The phrase has an extra weight in Iran due to its use as a rallying cry during the Khomeini revolution in 1979, and given Iran’s cultural context, it is not in every respect the same thing to shout this on the streets of Tehran as to shout it on the streets of New York.

Of course, these considerations don’t mean that the protesters, had they prevailed, would have installed a Western-leaning secular government akin to the Shah’s. But those who supported the Shah and secularism have not entirely disappeared from Iran, and cannot be discounted as an element in those protests.

Anyway, this interview with Ayatollah Mohsen Kadivar, an establishment hack like Mousavi, as well as a theocrat and Jew-hater. He praises Obama’s supine response to Iranian tyranny, as if the specter of American support for the protesters would have driven them to embrace Ahmadinejad in droves. But Kadivar does shed a bit more light on the nature of the protests. He insists that the protests have been “thoroughly Islamic,” but also admits that “some young people are oriented towards the West” — although he downplays that fact and maintains that most Iranians want Sharia. Still, the question Geller asked in her article still lingers: “Are people in Iran dying for more of the same thing they have been getting from the Islamic Republic for thirty years?” Since the protests have been essentially crushed at this point, we may never know the answer.

Kadivar:Â That is not right. Although I enjoyed his statements, they are not mine. I published my declarations separately, although I support Mousavi strongly. We have found means to communicate with each other. Via the Internet and via third parties, I am in constant contact with my homeland. Every day I receive about 100 messages.

Refusing to See Evil Clearly

For those who wish to think clearly about Iran, there are two fundamental facts:Â

* the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been at war with us ever since the overthrow of the shah in early 1979;

* the savagery they have unleashed on the people of Iran is precisely what they want to do to us.

The Iranian leaders and their terror instruments, from Hezbollah to Hamas and Islamic Jihad, have been killing Americans for 30 years, from the Marine barracks in Beirut in the 1980s to the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan at the moment, where Iranian Revolutionary Guards forces are operating against Coalition forces. Both the history and the contemporary facts are abundantly documented.

The mullahs’ war is unrelentingly and barbarically waged. When they organize demonstrations of hatred against the United States, and lead chants of “death to America,” they mean exactly that. It is not a slogan playing to a domestic audience (we have seen in recent days that the regime is enormously unpopular), but a statement of intent. They aim to kill us, humiliate us, and eventually dominate us. Just listen to President Ahmadinejad’s words to President Obama last Saturday:

You should know that if you continue (to criticize the repression) the response of the Iranian nation will be strong. . . . The response of the Iranian nation will be crushing. The response will cause remorse.

Such language is of a piece with stories alleging that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has ordered an all-out attack on American, British, French, and German targets wherever possible.Â Â
