No, Muslims are not “the new Jews”

This is a pathetic, despicable attempt  to draw parallels between the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany and Muslims in the Switzerland of today, many participants will wear t-shirts and stickers with the word ‘Muslim’ framed by a yellow star.   (The Local)

All the while the soldiers of Allah are firing rockets into Israel and their hate spewing imams threaten to wipe out the Jews. And as I’m writing this, Muslim ‘Yoots” stone Catholic festival-goers in France.

The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland (ICCS), a “conservative”  Muslim group, has chosen a symbol reminiscent of the Jewish Star of David for a planned protest against Islamophobia this weekend.

Note how the enemedia perverts the word “conservative”, which implies that  radical Mohammedan headbangers are just like our  conservatives.

Around 2,000 people are expected to participate in the ‘Day against Islamophobia and racism’, a mini-festival organized by ICCS in the capital Bern that will run from 2 to 5pm on Saturday.

Adding to the Jew-hatefest are former British PM Tony Blair’s sister-in-law,  pro-Arab activist Lauren Booth, and Muamer Zukorlc, the mufti of the Islamic Community in Serbia.

Surrendering faster than the French army:

Victorinox, which sells the famous Swiss army knives, replaced the cross symbol on its product with a letter ‘V’. In the past, Victorinox had problems selling its products in Saudi Arabia: deliveries were blocked; cargo was seized at customs. It decided to switch to the ‘V’ symbol for an easier life. Wilders shakes up Dutch parliament

RNW Dutch Labour leader Job Cohen and anti-Islam Freedom Party (PVV) leader Geert Wilders clashed today in parliament during a debate on integration legislation for new immigrants.

Mr Wilders claimed Mr Cohen’s Labour Party does nothing to tackle immigrants who show a “half-hearted attitude” towards the mandatory integration course. Mr Cohen said deportation of immigrants who don’t fully participate in the course should be a last resort and that the current system of fining those who fail to attend the courses should be given a chance first. Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday rebuffed praise from Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders that her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has taken “the lead in the domain of Islam criticism” in Germany.

Well, well, what is one to say about this?

Two things. First, before extolling Chancellor Merkel as an Islam critic, Wilders should have read VFR, where it was clearly established that her thrillingly negative remarks about Islam’s place in Germany were utterly meaningless, since they were contradicted by the exact opposite remarks which she also made. Had Wilders taken in the fact that Merkel herself is no Islam critic, he would have avoided the demurrer by the German government spokesman.

Second, while Merkel’s remarks were meaningless in themselves, they nevertheless were deeply significant as a symptom of a general shift in European thinking about Islam. And for this reason Wilders was absolutely right to cheer Merkel’s statement.  (View from the Right)

One of the firms forced to close its business in Libya as part of Tripoli’s economic measures against Switzerland, is suing Libya in the Geneva courts.

An exclusive report in the Geneva-based Le Temps newspaper on Wednesday says the small high tech firm, which wants to remain anonymous, has had SFr11.6 million ($10.7 million) of Libyan assets frozen by the courts pending a judgement.

The company, which was given 45 days to wind up its business and leave the country, is suing the Libyan government for about SFr7 million for unpaid bills and breach of contract, the newspaper says.

YOU CAN’T BAN THE BURKHA, SAY (unelected) EUROCRATS

EUROPE backed the burkha yesterday by ruling that the controversial Muslim veils should not be banned.

The Council of Europe also branded the Swiss “bigots” for their ban on the construction of Islamic minarets. Last year Switzerland banned the building of the minarets – towers used to call Muslims to prayer – after a nationwide referendum.

Please note that Switzerland is not a member of the EU.  That the unelected polit-commissars in Brussels have the cheek to condemn a country that is not even part of their assumed jurisdiction is beyond parody……

MPs from 47 countries voted unanimously that outlawing the full-face veils would deny women “who genuinely and freely desire to do so” the right to cover their faces.
The Council of Europe’s resolution is not binding on members of the group, which includes all European countries except Belarus, as well as Turkey.
But the vote by the human rights group threatens to torpedo bans planned in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain as it could open governments up to costly legal battles.
Last night the ruling was condemned as “out of touch”.

Is Alard du Bois-Reymond wrong?

Some young Swiss converts to Islam are a potential threat to the country’s security, according to the head of the Migration Office. Alard du Bois-Reymond was speaking about the Central Islamic Council (IZRS), founded by young converts in the western town of Biel. The group strongly denies his assertion.

Du Bois-Reymond told the German-language newspaper NZZ am Sonntag that such converts include people who want a “radically different society” and pointed to examples in Britain and Germany where such demands had provided “fertile ground for potential terrorists”.

The Junge SVP submitted  the charge because of racial discrimination and incitement  against the Imam of the mosque in Basel St. Johann, after he  quoted in a documentary from one of its lectures, broadcast on Swiss television. The Imam used a relevant Koranwort (Sure 8.55 -below the fold.)  If the complaint is successful, completely new legal possibilities would arise in dealing with Islam.

An umbrella group for Swiss Muslims says they should be able to be buried “with dignity” and is therefore calling for Islamic cemeteries in every Swiss canton.

On Feb 25, Col Gaddafi called for a “jihad” against Switzerland, branding it an infidel state that was destroying mosques – an apparent reference to a Swiss referendum in favour of banning the construction of minarets.

But Mr Aujali said that Tripoli still expects an apology for US criticism of his remarks.…
