Hadithul-ifk, meaning ‘the untruthful talk’, is the name given to the rumours that circulated in the city of Medina upon the return of the Muslims’ Army after defeating the tribe of Bani Al Mustalk. The Muslims’ army won an easy victory over the Jewish tribe and returned fully laden with slaves and other war booties. However, a last minute hitch turned what should have been a big day into one of the most embarrassing days in Muhammad’s life. What could be more embarrassing to a man than returning home and discovering that his wife was out with another man? You can imagine how Muhammad felt when he watched, along with the other residents of Medina, his favourite wife entering the city with a stranger!

Massacre of Bani Quraiza: Muslim Ummah’s Happiest Day

The massacre of Bani Quraiza, and enjoyment of the great catch of “female booty” overnight was the first major occasion of celebration and festivity for the Muslim Ummah…

The day of Bani Quaiza massacre was the happiest, the most festive, day for the Muslim umma in Medina.

Prophet had ordered the beheading of all Quraiza adult men (about 900), and the distribution of all their belongings, including their women and children:

Al-Tabari VIII:38:

“The Messenger of Allah commanded that all of the Jewish men and boys who had reached puberty should be beheaded. Then the Prophet divided the wealth, wives, and children of the Banu Qurayza Jews among the Muslims.”

Quran mentions this incident briefly in two ayas [33.26-27]:

Many ye slew, and many ye made prisoners…And Allah gave you their lands, their houses, and their goods and women, and of a land which ye had not frequented (before). And Allah has power over all things.

All jubilant Muslims of Medina had gathered to watch the colorful beheading spectacle, and anticipated booty distribution. A trench was dug in the market-place. Several men were in charge of disrobing the Jewish male prisoners for checking the growth of pubic-hair. Those having pubic-hair were marked for beheading, and the rest were sent to the enslavement camp…Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 38, Number 4390:

Liberalism withholds judgment until finding an answer bulletproofed by logic and reason, and this practice is nothing less than the bedrock of the first world.

I am of course referring to classical liberalism, now tragically mistitled conservatism. The half-philosophy known as the Left co-opted that most precious word, liberty, then stopped reading at “withholds judgment.” And this anti-intellectual betrayal of humanity’s best idea has once again resulted in an unfathomably dangerous historical anomaly: an existential threat is flourishing, liberty and life are at stake, yet the ones we now call liberals refuse to pass judgment on the illiberal. They have access to enough logic and reason for a bombproof conclusion, yet they refuse to pass judgment.

The Good Holocaust Denial

The German Holocaust created Israel and the modern Jew. Although not all Jews agree on the truth of the Torah, all Jews agree on the German Holocaust. To deny the truth of the Holocaust is a crime in Germany. German Holocaust denial will even get the ire of the cultural Jew who never crosses the threshold of the synagogue.

Notice that the term German Holocaust is used, not Holocaust, because there is a much earlier Holocaust that occurred under Mohammed in Arabia. But as we will see, the German Holocaust and its basis in a totalitarian ideology can be criticized, while the political ideology of Islam is beyond the pale of critical thought. We may savage the Nazi and his ideology, but the Muslim and his ideology of political Islam has to be respected with the silence of deliberate ignorance-denial and justification.

Since the German Holocaust is the standard of suffering for modern Judaism, it is interesting to use it as a measurement of the Arabian Holocaust.

It raised a couple of eyebrows when the Organisation of the Islamic Conference quoted two pages from an article on EuropeNews, discussing if Muhammad was, in fact, a messenger for Satan rather than for God.In the article based on a television broadcast, Father Zakaria Botros, based on relevant scripture, made a brief analysis of the qualities of Jewish/Christian prophets and compared those to the qualities of Muhammad. What the article did not go into, however, was an analysis of what ‘Satanic’ actually means. We are commonly assuming that ‘Satanic’ means ‘bad’, ‘evil’, ‘wrong’ – to such an extent that even discussing the actual nature of this badness is irrelevant. But if we do not understand what ‘bad’ or ‘Satanic’ means, how can we choose to reject it? Some knowledge of Right and Wrong behaviour is needed for this to be functional.

* It seems that both, the interviewer and ‘Islam scholar’ Michael Marx don’t know what they’re talking about. The Koran is certainly no ‘Christian text’ and islam is not an ‘Abrahamic religion’. Islam is a mandate for open ended warfare to make the world Islamic, and that by any means. That includes genocide on the Jews. Islam doesn’t have the ‘Golden Rule’, and won’t accept it either. But other than that, read it and make up your own mind.

Saudi group tries to halt marriage of 10-year-old girl to man in his sixties

There’s that child marriage again. But it has nothing, mind you, nothing to do with Islam. Except the inconvenient matter of Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha (Bukhari 5.58.234). “Saudi group seeks to prevent sexagenarian from marrying child,” from Deutsche Presse Agentur, 

* And because Muhammad set “a beautiful pattern of conduct”  (Qur’an, al-Ahzab 33:21) (because he was the perfect cult leader who could do no wrong) he is to be emulated by every Muhammedan around the globe in everything he did till the end of time…

* That’s the reason why banning the practice in Islamic countries regularly fails: its against the Koran, and for believing  Muslims that is the direct command of Allah for all time…

Update on Yemen’s child bride case:

 “A lot of people in the public don’t think that this is wrong or that what happened to her was abuse”

Yemen’s world famous divorcee, Nujood Ali, 10, has been chastised by some in Yemen for speaking out about her arranged marriage.

This article ignores the role of Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha — consummated when she was nine — in why the practice of child marriage not only persists, but is so often praised in the Islamic world.

If there is one promising aspect in this report, it is the acknowledgment of Muhammad’s own example as a factor in the persistence of child marriage in Yemen: Awareness of the nature of the problem will better focus efforts to solve it, keeping apologists from passing the buck on the basis of “culture” rather than religious practice.

Hard-line Islamic conservatives, whose influence has grown enormously in the past two decades, defend it, pointing to the Prophet Muhammad’s marriage to a 9-year-old. (correction: Aisha was 6 when the profit married her, and he consummated the marriage when she was 9)

It’s not the would be reformers who are ‘acknowledging’ it: it’s the Shariah advocates who are citing it in support of their opposition to the reforms in question. Surely you can make out the difference between a genuine process of reform that includes identification of problem areas, vs. the citation of the problem areas as support for the status quo?
