An £86 million scheme designed to prevent the radicalisation of young British Muslims is being used as a “gravy train” by some community groups, it has been claimed.

The “Preventing Violent Extremism fund” allows councils to give money to local projects in the hope that they will prevent teenagers turning to dangerous forms of Islam.

It was launched by the former Communities Secretary, Ruth Kelly, last year and since then has seen £6m spent on trial schemes.

But critics claim large sums of money are being given to projects that do not meet its specific objectives, and are being handed out to community groups without councillors considering them first.

A BBC investigation disclosed that grants of up to £30,000 are being distributed by Birmingham City Council for projects such as a photographic exhibition of positive images of the city’s Muslims, and a conference to allow community organisations to meet policy-makers. (that’s like spraying perfume on a turd in the hope the stench goes away/ed)

Rashid Khalidi is a supporter of the jihad against Israel. He is a Columbia University professor whom Hugh Fitzgerald terms a “long-time propagandist for the Arabs and quasi-academic engaged for decades in the ‘construction-of-the-Palestinian-identity’ project.” He is also not always honest about his own statements about this — and is apparently a close friend of Barack Obama.

Socialism always begins with brain-washing and the stifling of dissent, from indoctrinating your children to complete mind-control over the masses, and inevitably ends in disaster. The KRudd Government plans to censor the Internet. If this report is indeed true, I’m worried:

Internet providers and the government’s own tests have found that presently available filters are not capable of adequately distinguishing between legal and illegal content and can degrade internet speeds by up to 86 per cent.

Bear this in mind:

The first tier (of the Government’s planned system), which internet users would not be able to opt out of, would block all “illegal material”.

GOVERNMENT experts say the word “drought” is making farmers feel bad and want people to use the word “dryness” instead.
