  • Egypt Bans Marriage to Israelis:  “Egyptians married to Israelis are dangerous to Egypt’s national security, acting in ways that contradict the constitution of their country and Islamic laws-” hmm, me thinks Israeli women who marry Arabs are dangerous to Israel’s national security.  What say you?

    Obama throws women under the bus

    Obama is not in favor with at least one blogger at the generally reliably dhimmi Economist. “Next time he would do better to remember, as the secretary of state famously put it, that women’s rights are human rights.” Indeed.

    Caroline Glick is unimpressed:

    He spoke of the need to grant equality to women without making mention of common Islamic practices like so-called honor killings, and female genital mutilation. He ignored the fact that throughout the lands of Islam women are denied basic legal and human rights. And then he qualified his statement by mendaciously claiming that women in the US similarly suffer from an equality deficit. In so discussing this issue, Obama sent the message that he couldn’t care less about the plight of women in the Islamic world.

    So, too, Obama spoke about the need for religious freedom but ignored Saudi Arabian religious apartheid. He talked about the blessings of democracy but ignored the problems of tyranny.

    In short, Obama’s “straight talk” to the Arab world, which began with his disingenuous claim that like America, Islam is committed to “justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings,” was consciously and fundamentally fraudulent. And this fraud was advanced to facilitate his goal of placing the Islamic world on equal moral footing with the free world.

                                With no infidels to kill, Thai Muslims attack each other:

    YALA, Thailand (Reuters) – Gunmen killed 10 people and wounded 12 others when they opened fire with automatic weapons at a mosque during evening prayers in Thailand’s restive Muslim south, police said on Monday.

    A rubber tapper was also shot dead and nine soldiers were wounded by a roadside bomb on Monday, one of the worst days of violence in months in the region bordering Malaysia where a shadowy insurgency has rumbled since 2004.

    Police said at least five gunmen sprayed bullets into the mosque in the Cho Airong district of Narathiwat, one of three mainly Muslim provinces where more than 3,000 people have died in five years of near daily bomb and gun attacks.

    “The gunmen sneaked into the mosque and opened fire as the victims kneeled on the floor praying,” regional army spokesman Colonel Prinya Chaidilok told Channel 11 television.

    The brazen attack was one of three on Monday in Narathiwat province, which has seen a surge in violence in the last week.

    A Buddhist rubber tapper was shot dead by unknown gunmen on a motorcycle in Rangae district and nine soldiers were wounded, one seriously, when a powerful roadside bomb exploded under their vehicle in neighboring Rueso district, police said.

    Nineteen people have been killed and 40 injured since Friday in the region’s latest surge in violence.

    No group has made a credible claim of responsibility for any of the attacks in the region, which was an independent Muslim sultanate until annexed by predominantly Buddhist Thailand a century ago.

    FBI: Muslims not above the law, using informants in mosques is OK

    A US of mixed signals:

    On the one hand, the  embarrassing administration of the Muslim POTUS Obama panders to the Islamists and supports the jihad against the free world, on the other hand there is -some- resistance from unlikely quarters:

    CAIR’s Hussam Ayloush, a delightful fellow with whom I have had several pleasant exchanges, said in April that mosques and the Koran were off limits to the FBI.

    In other words, despite incidents such as this, and this, and this, and despite the fact that hatred and Islamic supremacism are taught in a number of mosques in the U.S., he wants law enforcement officials to turn a blind eye to the possibility of jihadist activity in mosques.

    And meanwhile, Ayloush also wants to take the Koran off the table — that is, he wants no investigation of the stated motives and goals of the jihad terrorists themselves. Apparently he would prefer that we remain in the dark about them. (I refuse, and am working on a new book,The Infidel’s Guide to the Koran, which is coming in September from Regnery Publishing.)

    LOS ANGELES – FBI Director Robert Mueller on Monday defended the agency’s use of informants within U.S. mosques, despite complaints from Muslim organizations that worshippers and clerics are being targeted instead of possible terrorists.Mueller’s comments came just days after a Michigan Muslim organization asked the Justice Department to investigate complaints that the FBI is asking the faithful to spy on Islamic leaders and worshippers. Similar alarm followed the disclosure earlier this year that the FBI planted a spy in Southern California mosques….

    “To the extent that there may be evidence or other information of criminal wrongdoings, then we will … undertake those investigations,” Mueller added. “We will continue to do it.”…

Others angry over poor economic conditions and political scandals punished ruling parties of both stripes in Greece, Austria, Spain, Britain, Bulgaria, Ireland, Hungary and the tiny island of Malta.

    Nationalism is good.

    Nationalism isn’t bad. American nationalism wasn’t bad, has never been bad. British nationalism hasn’t been bad. French nationalism isn’t bad. Polish nationalism isn’t bed. Czech nationalism wasn’t bad.

    The thing that was bad was that Germany which decided to embrace madness and evil as its central unifying characteristic under the Nazis. That is what the problem was, it was not nationalism per se. And it’s still not nationalism.

    They took all the wrong lessons from WW2 and applied them, while ignoring the only lesson that’s really relevant from WW2, which is that you have to choose good and defend good and fight with the intention of defeating evil.

    BNP wins two seats in Europe

    The British National Party on Monday won its first seats in the European Parliament, in a major breakthrough for a party reviled by mainstream politicians for its anti-immigration stance.

    Party chairman Nick Griffin was elected an MEP in the northwest of England region with eight percent of the vote, hours after Andrew Brons won the BNP’s first ever European seat in the nearby Yorkshire and the Humber region.

    Griffin had earlier hailed Brons’ win – with almost 10 percent of the vote – as “a huge breakthrough” for his party, and used the victory to reiterate his party’s anti-immigration and anti-Islam stance.

    Griffin told Sky News television: “This is a Christian country and Islam is not welcome, because Islam and Christianity, Islam and democracy, Islam and women’s rights do not mix.”

    charliesarkozybenheine-2What a disappointment this Sarkozy is! Falsely portrayed as “right wing” he is anything but. Sarkozy is a pathetic apparatchik just like the unelected Gordon Brown who continues to disgrace Britain on a daily basis.

    That’s all right. Let Europe be conquered and subjugated. It’s much more important to shun and vilify all those in Europe who are accused of being fascists or racists, however false the charges may be. It would be better for Europe to fall to jihad and Sharia.

    Of course I am being sarcastic, if it isn’t obvious. Actual fascists and racists are abhorrent, and no one should make common cause with them. But the real threat to Europe is not from tiny fringes of genuine neo-Nazis and their ilk (genuine as opposed to those who are falsely accused of being in this camp), and there is no real danger of anyone making common cause with such people anyway. The real threat is from the Islamic jihad, which proceeds apace to encroach upon European liberties — the freedom of speech, the equality of rights of all people before the law — while some stand by, effectively indifferent to that jihad, and instead direct their energies to defaming decent people who are trying to do something to resist its advance.
