Al-Qaeda threatens Germany over its presence in Afghanistan

A PRESUMED member of Al-Qaeda threatened Germany with reprisals for its presence in Afghanistan in a video made public late on Saturday by the US centre for surveillance of Islamist sites (SITE).

In the 30-minute video message, an individual calling himself Abu Talha Al-Alamani said the Germans were “gullible and naive” if they thought they could “escape unscathed when they are the third occupation force in Afghanistan.”

After posting a report regarding the U.S. Army War College’s failure to examine Islam’s war doctrines, including a faculty member’s (Sherifa Zuhur’s) assertions that Hamas has been “villainized” by the media, I received several e-mails from concerned people questioning Ms. Zuhur’s “credentials” — some alluded to her sincerity and intentions, or lack thereof — to teach at the War College. One e-mail sent the following, rather telling, response made by Zuhur, after being asked to, “Tell us about your recent monographs on Islamic Rulings on Warfare and on Saudi Arabia”:

I wrote Islamic Rulings on Warfare with my co-author Youssef Aboul-Enein to counteract the idea that Islam promotes kidnappings, beheadings and other unlicensed hostile actions as a matter of course.

NEW DELHI: The Dalai Lama, a lifelong champion of non-violence on Saturday candidly stated that terrorism cannot be tackled by applying the principle of ahimsa because the minds of terrorists are closed. 

“It is difficult to deal with terrorism through non-violence,” the Tibetan spiritual leader said delivering the Madhavrao Scindia Memorial Lecture here. 

He also termed terrorism as the worst kind of violence which is not carried by a few mad people but by those who are very brilliant and educated. 

“They (terrorists) are very brilliant and educated…but a strong ill feeling is bred in them. Their minds are closed,” the Dalai Lama said. 

He said that the only way to tackle terrorism is through prevention. The head of the Tibetan government-in-exile left the audience stunned when he said “I love President George W Bush.” He went on to add how he and the US President instantly struck a chord in their first meeting unlike politicians who take a while to develop close ties.

Riot police surrounded up to 240 demonstrators in central London, many wearing scarves covering their faces, who broke away from a rally in Trafalgar Square at about 5pm.

Up to 200 were tracked by a police helicopter as they ransacked the coffee shops in Piccadilly and Shaftesbury Avenue while 40 more were contained in Hyde Park, thought to be on their way to the Israeli embassy in Kensington.

A court in the German capital struck down an administrative ban on Hamas flags, clothing and banners on Friday, but left in place the ban on invoking Hamas Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahar’s call to murder Israeli children worldwide.

The decision paved the way for supporters of the Islamist movement to march in anti-Israeli rallies on Saturday with pro-Hamas paraphernalia.

This is the square of the Italian Parliament in Rome, Piazza Montecitorio: you can see the Palace on top of the square, and in front a lot of Israeli flags.That was Wednesday night, January 14, from 6,30 to 9,30 pm. What you cannot see here, is the extraordinary number and variety of members of the Parliament, about 100 from all political sides, that took the stage during our marathon: for about three hours we have been speaking about the role of Israel, its right to self defense, its moral height, its fight in name of all of us, of our civilization and values, against the wild hate of the Islamic jihad represented by Hamas. It seems to me that for the first time in the too long history of the arab Israeli conflict, apart from a minority of crazy leftists and fascists that took the street on anti-Semitic slogans, we have obtained a huge consensus about one critical point: this is not an episode of a local conflict, there is nothing in it that reminds the land for peace theme that has characterized the Palestinian issue. This is an episode of the attack against the western world, and Iran has a lot to do with it.

The reason for Gilbert’s refusal to “give one dime to Doctors Without Borders” is because the DWB refuses to be a part of a conflict, which runs counter to Gilbert’s ideological views. Like the TT has mentioned before, ‘Mad’ Mads Gilbert is a Leftist loon, who is very much a part of the Hamas war effort as the Palestinian stringers who feed reports to the international wire services.
The media however has been lapping it up, because they either believe or pretend to believe that they have an objective, unbiased Western professional (a doctor no less) rendering an accurate picture of the situation in Gaza.
The media however is not blameless, nor totally fooled. An anonymous source informed teh Tundra Tabloids that Finland’s main news station, YLE, has privately admitted that it had been badly misled, leading them into an untenable position, of having disseminated factually challenged information to the Finnish public, and needing to correct their reports. At the time of the information being handed to the TT, the “gate keepers” at YLE were busily scurrying to find a way to make things right without badly exposing themselves to justifiable criticism.KGS
