UNHRC helps to show "the true face of Islam" by supporting and promoting Islam

Fasten your seatbelts! Here comes:  Islam’s contribution to ‘refugee  law’!

The  United Nations has been promoting the interests of Islam for some  time.

It  highlights the passing of a resolution on the defamation of religion  (really the defamation of Islam) by the UN Human Rights  Council earlier this year, and the recent launch of a book by the UN High Commissioner  for Refugees in Saudi Arabia  … the  book commends Islam for the wonderful contribution  it has made to the treatment of refugees.

Of course there was no mention in the  article posted on the UNHCR article about the persecuted people  fleeing from Islamic nations such as Iraq and  Afghanistan…

The United Nations is increasingly  supporting and promoting Islam. This is partly due to the  influence of the Islamic  nations that are part of the UN – they work together as  the Organisation of the Islamic  Conference <http://www.oic-oci.org/home.asp> (OIC), which  has 57 ‘member states’. The OIC notes  “Every year the United Nations General  Assembly adopts a resolution on ‘Cooperation between the United  Nations and the Organization of the Islamic Conference’.”  (It appears the OIC is the giant black hole in the corrupt United Nations…)

Defamation of ‘Religion’

In  March 2009 the United Nations Human Rights  Council (UNHRC) voted to  condemn the ‘defamation of religion’.
In effect this really  meant condemning the criticism of Islam. Western nations  refused to support the resolution because it focused on condemning  criticism of Islam. [Media report :  U.N. rights body condemns “defamation” of religion)

Ironically the motion was supported by UNHRC members  China, Cuba, Russia and all the  nations belonging to the Organisation of the Islamic Conference  (OIC).

  • When China and Cuba are looking after  ‘human rights’ we have a problem!

Shariah courts giving ‘illegal’ advice

A fatwa, an Islamic ruling, has no place in the dar-ul Harb,  the civilized world, where Muslims have settled in what they perceive to be behind enemy lines. A fatwa can include a death-sentence against blasphemy or an apostate, it justifies polygamy and  wife-beating, marriage with minors and terrorism against the host country. Sharia courts are illegal, since they are in direct opposition to our courts and “man made laws,” which Muslims are religiously obliged to replace with the sharia, Islamic law.

A burka comes as a package deal, and is anything but ‘portable seclusion to protect women.’  The freedom sack,  along with aggressive, bearded freaks who wear coffee-filters and flowing robes,  drives infidels out of  Moslem inhabited quarters until they turn into ‘no-go’ zones.

Earlier today, Muslims demonstrated in Antwerp to oppose the banning of headscarves in [1] two schools–and the new Swedish head of the European Union, Justice Minister Beatrice Ask, stated that the “27 member European Union must not dictate an Islamic dress code…(that) the European Union is a union of [2] freedom.” As [3] my readers know, yesterday, al-Qaeda threatened France because President Sarkozy had called for a ban on the burqa.

Clearly, this is a major issue in Europe where anywhere from 30-50 million Muslims live. Paradoxically, various European countries have banned or restricted the far less restrictive headscarf (hijab) in schools, universities, and courtrooms–but have not yet restricted the far more smothering burqa. Perhaps hijab is seen as the “nose of the camel,” a garment which, if allowed, will lead Europe right down the slippery slope to more oppressively restricted clothing for Muslim-European women.

Are Pakistani Madrassas Breeding Killer Zombies?

Hmm, I think we all know the answer to this one…

The Imam in charge of the madrassa could not have been more welcoming. 

I sat on the carpeted floor of his office enjoying the cool of the air conditioning, thankful for this temporary refuge from the broiling streets of Karachi – perhaps the most overcrowded and dangerous city on the continent of Asia. 

On the other side of the madrassa’s high gates, 18million people were struggling to survive in the heat: the vast majority of them out of work with no hope of a job; millions living in slums as foul as anything I have seen anywhere in the world; small children dodging the lethal traffic, banging on the windows of cars stopped momentarily at a junction to beg for a few rupees, competing with old men and women doing the same.

And amongst them an unknown number of mostly young men playing an infinitely more dangerous game.

These are the men who threaten not only this city and the state of Pakistan, but who threaten us, too.

These are the men who are capable of walking into a mosque run by a moderate Muslim leader and blowing him to bits – as they did while I was here – or of driving a car loaded with high explosives into a hotel and reducing it to rubble, murdering dozens in the process. 

Or strapping on a suicide belt and blowing themselves up on a London train.

It was because of men like them that I was here in the Jamia Binoria International Madrassa, the biggest in Karachi, pretending to enjoy the thick tea sweetened with condensed milk and several spoonfuls of sugar pressed upon me by the friendly imam, Mohammed Naeem.

I wanted to know whether his madrassa was one of those that gave shelter to these men or – even worse – brainwashed naive young people into believing that the best way to serve Allah was to murder those of us who do not share their views.

OIC denounces interference in Iran’s internal affairs

TEHRAN – Participants to the OIC parliamentary union meeting in Algiers released a statement on Tuesday condemning the interference of foreign states in Iran’s internal matters.

“The Organization of Islamic Conference welcomes the results of the recent election in Iran and condemns the interference of foreigners in the country’s internal affairs,” said the statement which was broadcast by the Algerian state TV. 

The statement called on the Iranian nation to unite against the enemies. 

It also expressed concerns over the unjustified pressure on Iran for its peaceful nuclear activities while ignoring the threats by Israel’s nuclear arsenal.
