The absurdity of cringing dhimmitude and Fear of Offending Muslims reaches its apotheosis.

It’s not all that surprising that Yale University Press would be wary of reprinting notoriously controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a forthcoming book. After all, when the 12 caricatures were first published by a Danish newspaper a few years ago and reprinted by other European publications, Muslims all over the world angrily protested, calling the images — which included one in which Muhammad wore a turban in the shape of a bomb — blasphemous. In the Middle East and Africa some rioted, burning and vandalizing embassies; others demanded a boycott of Danish goods; a few nations recalled their ambassadors from Denmark. In the end at least 200 people were killed.

Is he right? Of course he is. Anything designed to rub Islam in your face should be banned. Meanwhile, the carbeques by the “restive French youths” continue, but we all know that “Global worming” and “Carbon Trading” are far more important.

A FORMER Turkish soldier living in South Australia on a student visa allegedly has shone a laser pointer at a Qantas jet above Willunga, temporarily blinding its pilot.

Irfan Bozan, 26, appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today charged with endangering life, prejudicing the safe operation of an aircraft and carrying an offensive weapon.

Outside court, police told AdelaideNow that Bozan had caused temporary blindness to the pilot at about 7.40pm last night as he was coming in to land at Adelaide Airport.

Australia: Christian leaders plan anti-Islam conference

The Sydney Moonbat Heralds Josephine Tovey does her best to discredit the event  organizers as if she was paid for it by the Muzz:

EVANGELICAL church leader Pastor Danny Nalliah  will address an anti-Muslim Christian conference alongside the Reverend Fred Nile and state Liberal MLC David Clarke this year.

Mr Nile invited the leader of the Catch the Fire ministries, Pastor Danny Nalliah, to address the National Conference for all Concerned Christians on November 21 on the theme ”Australia’s Future and Global Jihad”, an event Mr Nile said was about ”strengthening Australia’s Christian heritage”.

”We are concerned with the conflict between Islam and Christianity that is happening around the world,” Mr Nile said.

The Muslim Council of Britain today welcomed today the reported comments of Cohesion Minister Shahid Malik who announced a rethink into the Government’s Prevent programme and the wider approach to tackling extremism in Britain. The Minister announced a policy that would not single out any one community and would cover extremism emanating from all quarters.

A reassessment of the prevent agenda is long overdue. There is scant evidence that the policy is successful. In this respect, the MCB largely welcomes the findings of the New Local Government Network (NLGN), whose new report suggests that the Prevent scheme to help local councils to tackle violent extremism at a local level ‘risks alienating some local communities and particularly Muslim communities.’

Fingerprint analysis has confirmed that a man killed by Indonesian police at the weekend was notfugitive terror suspect Noordin Mohammed Top.

Rather than Top, Indonesia’s Densus 88 took down a unique local phenomenon – a terrorist florist. Top will be stopped another day. But from where do Top and his junior Topettes (such as 18-year-old mass murderer Dani Dwi Permana) emerge in the first place? The Jakarta Post asks some experts:

Restive youths in a Paris suburb torched a tourist bus and nearly a half-dozen cars and hurled objects at police early Tuesday, a night after fullblown unrest prompted by the death of a teen fleeing police …

A night earlier, some 40 people hurled Molotov cocktails at police and firefighters, torched dozens of cars and one person fired a handgun during a rampage hours after the death of the young man.

And in Sweden, a Saab-b-q:

More than ten cars were set alight in a series of arson attacks across Malmö on Sunday night …

Police have cordoned off the area and will conduct a forensic examination of the scene on Monday. CCTV pictures secured from a nearby restaurant will be examined for clues.

Reader comments following that news story hint at rampant Presbyterianism.
