By morning the girls would have an empty expression; it seemed like they were ready or wanted to die. I remember hearing them cry and scream after [the rape] was over,” he said. “I will never forget how this one girl clawed at her own face and neck with her finger nails afterwards. She had deep scratches all over her.”

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) – An Iranian opposition leader said Sunday that detained protesters are alleging male and female prisoners were savagely raped by their jailers to the point of physical and mental damage.Mahdi Karroubi, one of two defeated pro-reform candidates in the disputed June 12 presidential election, said he has received the reports of rapes from former military commanders and other senior officials and he called for an investigation.”A number of detainees have stated that some female detainees were so severely raped that their genitals were damaged. Others savagely raped young boys so that they suffer from depression and serious physical and mental damage,” Karroubi said in a letter posted on his Web site.

He said such crimes, if proven true, would “disgrace” Iran’s Islamic ruling system. He did not name any officials who made the rape claims.

Jailed Iranian Women Converts to Christianity Face Death,  Refuse Court Pressure To “Deny Christ”

Maryam Rustampoor, 27, and Marzieh Amirizadeh, 30, appeared Sunday, August 9, in front of a ‘revolutionary court’ in the capital Tehran where they were pressured to return to Islam, according to well-informed Christians linked to Elam Ministries, a group supporting Iran’s growing church movement.

“Though great pressure was put on them, both women declared that they would not deny their faith,” the Christians said.

Both women, who reportedly suffer health problems, were detained March 5 for converting to Christianity. They endured solitary confinement, interrogations “for many hours while blindfolded” and other mistreatment in Tehran’s Evin prison, well-informed Christians said.

Senior police and judiciary officials acknowledged over the weekend that opposition detainees have been abused in prison and called for those responsible to be punished, apparently in an effort to calm public outrage over the mistreatment and death of prisoners. More from BosNewsLife

In fact I am pleasantly surprised that the usual assortment of jibes attacking those who advocate for a more measured migration program hasn’t yet taken place.

Perhaps that’s because this time, the advocacy comes from a leftist Labor politician. I have no doubt that if a conservative made such a call the cries of ‘xenophobia’ and ‘dog whistle politics’ would have been deafening.

We’re all Nazis now!

I dare say that everyone who resists Islamization is a patriot and a hero.

The flakes who throw these insane accusations at us are lunatics who belong in an asylum. How can anyone still believe that trying to ‘play nice’ with the soldiers of Allah will keep the status quo or keep us save from the Islamic juggernaut?

70% of Labour voters in Britain want a sharp cut in immigration.

78% of voters in Alan Johnson’s own constituency oppose his attitude to immigration.

New opinion polls, published today, show the Home Secretary is clearly out of touch with the public. Last week Alan Johnson told a House of Commons Committee that ‘he does not lie awake at night’ worrying that the population of the UK will reach 70 million and that he would not put a cap on the number of immigrants settling in the UK.

A YouGov opinion poll, conducted shortly afterwards for think tank Migrationwatch, shows that his views are completely at odds with the vast majority of the population:

– 81% are worried (45% of which are ‘very worried’) about the prospect of a population of 70 million in 2028.

– 78% say that Alan Johnson is out of touch with people like them.

– 76% want to see net immigration cut from its present level of 237,000 a year to 50,000 or less a year. Of that 76%,32% want to see a policy of “one in, one out” while 22% want to see no immigration at all.

Here is the problem. Suppose this woman were allowed to emigrate to, say, Italy. Presumably she would arrive with her family — her husband, her children. Or if not, she would find a husband once in Italy.

This husband might be found from among the Muslims already resident in Italy, or else this woman might find a non-Muslim husband from among the many people, including Italians, in Italy. As a Muslimah, she cannot marry a non-Muslim, so a non-Muslim husband would have to convert to Islam. This would likely mean very little to him. He would not take it seriously. Nonetheless, once he does convert, he has now become part of the Islamic community. There is then a chance that, by degrees, he will take the whole thing seriously, after the manner of converts such as Adam Gadahn, John Walker Lindh, Richard Reid, Jose Padilla – you get the idea.

More than 30 people were arrested today after disorder broke out during a demonstration billed as a protest against Islamic fundamentalism.

  • Update: the Sunday Mercury has a video: a Muslim calls the protesters “racist, fascist Nazis”- that’s enough for me. Unfortunately, some of the enlightened progressives on “harry’s place” buy it. England is a sewer…
  • While I’m typing this, AlBeeBeeCeera prattles on about “torture…” not a word about the mass-murders on Christians in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria etc. – sometimes you wanna scream…!!!

A total of 31 people were detained in Birmingham city centre during the event, which is believed to have been organised on social networking sites.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said the arrests were made at various locations during the protest and a counter-demonstration organised by the Unite Against Fascism group.
