The creator of an online group opposing plans by an Islamic organisation to march through Wootton Bassett has received death threats.

More than 730,000 people have signed up to the ‘No To The Planned Islam4UK March Through Wootton Bassett’ group since it went live on Facebook.

It called for extremist Anjem Choudary and his followers to be barred from marching in the Wiltshire market town where the bodies of dead service personnel arrive back in the UK.

Mr Choudary’s group Islam4UK has now abandoned the march after it was revealed the Government is to ban the organisation.

Teaching the Koran, jihad doctrine and bomb-making skillz is okay, though:

Scores of the Britain’s 10,000 Muslim prisoners – who account for one in eight of all inmates – are refusing to take part in Offending Behaviour Programmes (OBPs ), claiming it is ‘forbidden’ or ‘Haraam’.

Haraam refers to anything that is prohibited by faith, and in Islamic culture criminals are barred from discussing their offences with others.

Previously, Muslim prisoners refused to take part in Sex Offender Treatment Programmes because it involved talking about offences against women, but now some are refusing to take part in all rehabilitation sessions where they have to ‘open up’ in front of other cons.

Among the courses some Muslims – who now make up 12 per cent of the prison population – are declining to take part in are the Cognitive Self Change Programme (CSCP), just one of 13 OBPs on offer from the prison service.

There is, of course, a way to deal with recalcitrant Mohammedans, like here. But don’t count on the dhimmified Â polit props to order this kind of treatment. That would be “inhumane”-

The CSCP, which treats 7,000 prisoners each year, targets ‘high risk violent offenders’ and offers individual and group sessions to prisoners.

Well, I was shocked.

The loudest (deafening, actually) part of Obama’s remarks Thursday on the war on the West is what he didn’t say. Not once in Obama’s self-aggrandizing speech on the Muslim Christmas bomber did he ever mention jihad or Islam.

And that is whom we are at war with.

To say that al-Qaeda alone is the enemy is just more obfuscation and deception. It’s bureaucratic boilerplate.

Imagine, if you will, during, say, World War II, if the Axis press accounts of Allied military operations refused to use the word America or United States.

For example, a D-Day report would go like this:Â On June 6, 1944, nearly 160,000 Iowans, New Yorkers, Jerseyans, Alaskans, Texans, and some black and white folks landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified sandy coastline to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. More than 5,000 ships and 13,000 aircraft filled with all kinds of people supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end, Floridians had gained a foothold in Normandy.

Obama would speak only about “al-Qaeda.”

Al-Qaeda is a manifestation of devout Islam. Just as Hamas, Hezb’allah, al-Muhajiroun, The Armed Islamic Group, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, MILF, CAIR, ISNA, Fatah, the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya, the Armed Islamic Group of Algeria…

It is Islam.

And by refusing to name the enemy, Obama has perpetrated yet another devastating attack on American security….

Shopping for bikinis with my four sisters in the summer of 1975 brought out the fashion beast in me, an 11-year-old living in exile with his family in Egypt.

“The colour on this brown two-piece makes you look darker,” I tell my sister Raja. She picks a lime-green bikini instead. “I love this one so much, I want to wear it myself,” I blurt out to Ferial, clinching her choice of a black-and-white striped swimsuit.

The fruit of that shopping trip hangs on the office wall of my Toronto apartment â€“ a photograph taken a few days later of myself, my four sisters and three brothers on a beach in Alexandria.

The photo captures a moment of bourgeois life in the Middle East, before the region became associated in the Western collective psyche with exporting terror or the subjugation of women. It’s an image of a large and admittedly privileged family, led by enlightened, secular parents from southern Yemen.
