MASSAPEQUA PARK, N.Y. Post — Planned hearings by the chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security on the “radicalization of the American Muslim community” drew noisy protesters on both sides of the issue to his Long Island office on Tuesday.
About 100 opponents of the hearings were confronted by about the same number of supporters, some waving “Don’t Tread on Me” flags and chanting slogans favoring the hearings. For a time, protesters from each side argued heatedly in face-to-face confrontations in a parking lot adjacent to the congressman’s office before police stepped in and separated the groups with barricades.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moonbat is calling for Obama-style wealth redistribution on a global scale:
The United Nations, which marked a “World Day of Social Justice” on Sunday, Feb. 20, is calling for a “new era” in which all the people of the world have access to basic services and “decently” paying jobs.
“Social justice” is a euphemism for oligarchical collectivism, which also goes by the names socialism and communism.
According to the U.N., 80 percent of the world’s people lack “adequate social protection.”
To eliminate the problem, the U.N. is trying to establish what it calls a global “social protection floor.” Such a “floor” would guarantee food security, health services for all, and old-age pensions for the 80 percent of the world’s people believed to lack such protections.
The pensions of our own public sector employees are sinking entire states into bankruptcy. How are American taxpayers going to afford them for the whole planet?
Like a loan shark, Ki-moonbat couldn’t care less where we get the money, so long as we cough it up.

JERUSALEM – In what Egypt’s Christians fear may be a sign of things to come, a senior Islamic cleric asked Christians to bow in Muslim prayer in an act of submission to Allah.
On Friday, famed Egyptian theologian Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a spiritual leader to the Muslim Brotherhood who hosts a popular Islam-themed television show on Al Jazeera, led the Islamic prayer services in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, the epicenter of Egypt’s uprising.
While he repeatedly offered nods to Egypt’s Coptic Christians, unmentioned in most news media accounts of the ceremony was that Qaradawi asked all in attendance, specifically singling out Christians, to bow in Islamic prayer.
A Coptic Christian at the event told WND the request was intimidating.
“Whether he meant to or not, this was asking Christian to bow in an act of submission to Islam and Allah,” said the Christian, who asked that he named be withheld.
“There were maybe 250,000 people at the rally. Almost all were Muslims. So when we (Christians) are asked to bow, and we are in the extreme minority in the crowd, it is intimidating.”
You bet. Imagine what they’d do with you if you were a Jew……

Why is Huckabee being summoned for a round of interfaith monologue? He said:
“If the purpose of a church is to push forth the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then you have a Muslim group that says that Jesus Christ and all the people that follow him are a bunch of infidels who should be essentially obliterated, I guess I have a hard time understanding that.”
Islam does not “obliterate” Jesus, but rather appropriates Jesus as a messenger of Islam in order to create a place for Muhammad in its narrative. Islamic teachings do seek to do away with central Christian beliefs about Jesus’ divinity, message, death, and resurrection, and they make professing those beliefs a cause for persecution under Islamic law.
