Andy (he hates being called ‘Andy’) Chowchow is surprisingly honest for a Muslim. I’m puzzled about Frank Gaffney, who praises Zuhdi Jasser, a darling ‘moderate’ who is neither here nor there. He might have just as well mentioned the lesbionic Irshad Manji, who is “firmly rooted in her religion” (her own words) but also speaks for no one but herself.
There is still a deep seated delusion, Â even amongst those who should know by now, that there is some kind of ‘radical’ Islam and another one, one that we can live with.

In a single year, he disposes of three times his own net worth. A sum that would wipe out the net worth of any billionaire in America. That is the difference between the wealth wielded by the 10th wealthiest man in America, and the mayor of a single city. And that is the real concentration of wealth. The motivating factor for this madness is the rise of the only ‘right wing’ party, the Sweden Democrats:

There’s an awful lot of rhetoric about how much the SD’s aren’t going to like this. But very little explanation why allowing criminals to start their own companies and get free healthcare will benefit Swedish society. I would like to hear less of the former, and more of the later.
Questions are also emerging about whether the spirit of revolt might also take root among Europe-based Arabs, who often accuse their host countries of racism and blame the colonial past for many of their woes.

Sir Howard Davies, the director of the London School of Economics, has at last done the honourable thing and resigned from the university’s governing council. The LSE’s shameless prostituting of its good name in return for Muammar Gaddafi’s blood money (as the Tory MP Robert Halfon has rightly called it) is as great a betrayal of the spirit of a university as there has ever been in Britain.

(AINA) — A mob of nearly four thousand Muslims has attacked Coptic homes this evening in the village of Soul, Atfif in Helwan Governorate, 30 kilometers from Cairo, and torched the Church of St. Mina and St. George. There are conflicting reports about the whereabouts of the Church pastor Father Yosha and three deacons who were at church; some say they died in the fire and some say they are being held captive by the Muslims inside the church.
Witnesses report the mob prevented the fire brigade from entering the village. The army, which has been stationed for the last two days in the village of Bromil, 7 kilometers from Soul, initially refused to go into Soul, according to the officer in charge. When the army finally sent three tanks to the village, Muslim elders sent them away, saying that everything was “in order now.”

The Muslims started the attacks yesterday after falsely accusing the Christians of desecrating the Qur’an. More than ten thousand Muslims shouted “Allah Akbar” (Allah is great) as they burned down five evangelical churches. The government sent the federal police force to protect the Christians after the Muslims burned down the first three churches. A Swedish politician facing charges for producing a poster depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad naked together with his nine-year-old wife was found not guilty by a jury in Malmö on Wednesday.
