Note that the attackers singled out women, including Australian Candice Hedge, who was enjoying a drink when a terrorist crept up behind her, grabbed her head and slashed her throat. But this is what happened when all three of them came face to face with an unarmed man.

Theresa May said it herself after the London jihad attacks. “It is time,” she declared, “to say enough is enough.” Great idea, Prime Minister. Enough is enough: it’s time for you to do the decent thing and resign.

Why should May exit the stage, and quickly? Because if anyone is responsible for the recent jihad massacres in Manchester and London, it is she.

And even as jihad attacks become ever more common in Britain, she shows no sign of having learned anything, or being willing to reexamine and discard failed approaches. “Our society,” she declared, “should continue to function in accordance with our values but when it comes to taking on extremism and terrorism things need to change.”

That sounded great. Nothing needs to change more than Britain’s obviously failed counterterror policies. But May also said that the jihadis were “bound together by the single evil ideology of Islamist extremism that preaches hatred, sows division and promotes sectarianism. It is an ideology that claims our Western values of freedom, democracy and human rights are incompatible with the religion of Islam. It is an ideology that is a perversion of Islam and a perversion of the truth.”

“A perversion of Islam.” The jihad terrorists themselves would, of course, disagree. One eyewitness recounted that the jihadists said “This is for Allah” and promptly began stabbing a woman. Another victim’s mother said that a Muslim ran up to her son and said “This is for my family, this is for Islam,” before stabbing him. Simply waving away the jihadis’ stated motivation by calling it a “perversion of Islam” is a voluntary retreat from a fundamental rule of warfare, that one must know and understand one’s enemy in order to defeat him.

So that’s not going to change. What, then, is going to change? What is Theresa May going to do now to rein in the huge number of jihadis in the country, now revealed to be 23,000? Is she going to change strategy of hounding, stigmatizing, and demonizing foes of jihad terror, falsely claiming that they represent a “far-right” equivalent to jihad terrorists? Is she going to stop Britain’s longstanding policy of appeasing and accommodating Muslim groups in Britain, many of which were by no stretch of the imagination “moderate,” and allowing numerous jihad preachers to operate without hindrance?

Is she going to end Britain’s policy of admitting jihad preachers without a moment of hesitation? Syed Muzaffar Shah Qadri’s preaching of hatred and jihad violence was so hardline that he was banned from preaching in Pakistan, but the UK welcomed him into Britain. The UK also recently admittedShaykh Hamza Sodagar into the country, despite the fact that he has said: “If there’s homosexual men, the punishment is one of five things. One – the easiest one maybe – chop their head off, that’s the easiest. Second – burn them to death. Third – throw ’em off a cliff. Fourth – tear down a wall on them so they die under that. Fifth – a combination of the above.” May’s government likewise admittedtwo jihad preachers who had praised the murderer of a foe of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. One of them was even welcomed at the airport by no less illustrious a personage than the Archbishop of Canterbury.

May also has banned Pamela Geller and me from entering the country; we are apparently more dangerous than these Islamic preachers of bloodshed and murder. May, as head of the UK’s Home Office, banned me from entering the country for the crime of saying: “[Islam] is a religion and is a belief system that mandates warfare against unbelievers.” Yet that is a manifest and readily demonstrable fact. It was tantamount to banning me for saying that the earth orbits around the sun.

May’s record is clear: she and her predecessors for years have been effectively encouraging the preaching of jihad, while energetically discouraging and stigmatizing resistance to jihad.

That means that the Manchester and London attacks are her responsibility. She owns them. They’re hers. She allowed them to happen.

Today’s Britain of troops on the streets and high tension over another imminent jihad attack is the Britain that Theresa May and her ilk have chosen. This is the Britain of the policies that she and her predecessors have followed for years.

May now has the Britain she have made. When you ban foes of jihad and allow jihad preachers to enter and preach all over the country, you’re going to get more jihad. And so that is what Britain has today, and will have a great deal more of in the near future. This Britain of grief, fear, and blood is the Britain she wanted. This is the Britain she has.

If Britain survives as a free nation, which is quite reasonably in question at this point, Theresa May will not be vilified as the criminal traitor she is. If she had a decent bone in her body at this point, she would resign. Yes, no one on the British political scene is much better, but if she admitted what she has done and is doing to Britain and stepped aside, the entire British political landscape would change. And maybe, just maybe, a voice of sanity and defender of freedom would emerge.

It could be Britain’s last hope. Ms. May, if you have any decency left, resign. Now.
