For the entire history of the Lesser Jihad against Israel, the promptings of that war from Islam itself have been largely obscured, obscured most of all from the Israelis themselves.

The original opposition of the Arabs to Jews buying land from landowners was naturally muted as long as the Arabs needed Western power to help them against the Turks. But as the earliest leader of the local Arabs — they were not then, not until after the Six-Day War, renamed the “Palestinians” — the mufti El Husseini — made clear, it was Muslims who opposed them, and it should be a common Muslim cause. It took quite a while. Arabs under French rule in North Africa, or miserably poor, and certainly distant from, whatever happened in Mandatory Palestine, would hardly have been in a position to participate in the Lesser Jihad, much less something wider in scope. The Dutch ruled in the East Indies; the British controlled India — in neither place did the Muslims possess the wherewithal to dream more dangerous dreams. Jihad never went away — how could it? — but the wherewithal to conduct Jihad was lacking.

In 1947, the Bishop of Beirut, Moubarac, understood clearly the Muslim basis of the Arab assault on Israel. His speech can be found in Bat Ye’or’s Islam and Dhimmitude. The Jews of Israel, however, saw the conflict as one of Arabs who were opposed to the Jews. They knew very little, almost nothing, about Islam. They also knew that many of the local Arab Christians were echoing the sentiments of local Arab Muslims, and assumed, wrongly, that this meant that it was the “Arabs” who were hostile to them. They failed to realize that many of the local Arab Christians were classic dhimmis, who had accepted and internalized Muslim attitudes. That this phenomenon was observable in many communities of non-Muslims under Muslim rule was simply not understood.

Another ‘anthropologist’, another convert to Islam? If he hasn’t converted yet, he might as well do so. The damage he causes to young, impressionable minds is the same.

danhudHere is yet more evidence of the fact that our nation’s universities are no longer interested in free inquiry and training students to be independent thinkers, but are instead pestholes of Leftist indoctrination and propaganda. That a university professor would be trafficking in the trumped-up neologism “Islamophobia,” a term contrived in order to intimidate people into conflating resistance to jihad terror with “hatred” and “bigotry,” is bad enough. But note also the total one-sidedness of the event: neither the Saudi-funded Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding nor Daniel Varisco would ever dream of actually engaging me in discussion or debate (although I would be happy to do so) or give their hapless students any genuine understanding of what Jihad Watch and my books are all about. The students get no opportunity to evaluate my work for themselves and come to their own conclusions about whether I am defending human rights or spreading “hate” — the deck is stacked in advance.

“Daniel Varisco will offer his suggestions on ways to counteract the cyber ‘khutzpa’ of Islamophobia.” If the illustrious professor really wants to end “Islamophobia,” here is an easy way he can accomplish it. He can call upon Muslim individuals and groups to:

1. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.

2. Renounce definitively, sincerely, honestly, and in deeds, not just in comforting words, not just “terrorism,” but any intention to replace Western constitutions (or the constitutions of any non-Muslim state) with Sharia even by peaceful means. In line with this, clarify what is meant by their condemnations of the killing of innocent people by stating unequivocally that non-Muslim civilians, including Israelis, are innocent people, teaching accordingly in mosques and Islamic schools, and behaving in accord with these new teachings.

3. Teach, again sincerely and honestly, in transparent and verifiable ways in mosques and Islamic schools, the imperative of Muslims coexisting peacefully as equals with non-Muslims on an indefinite basis, and act accordingly.

4. Begin comprehensive international programs in mosques all over the world to teach sincerely against the understandings of Islam that give rise to violent jihad and Islamic supremacism, offering honest reinterpretations of the texts from the Qur’an and Hadith that jihadists use to justify that violence and supremacism, rejecting firmly, clearly, definitively and absolutely the literal meaning of those texts. This must also be accompanied by a rejection of all the teachings of Islamic jurisprudence calling for warfare against unbelievers for the purpose of subjugating them under Sharia rule. Readily share this course material with law enforcement officials and other interested parties.

5. Actively and honestly work with Western law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend jihadists within Western Muslim communities.

6. Reject, and teach and work against, the aspects of Sharia that are at variance with accepted principles of human rights: the death penalty for apostasy, the death penalty for blasphemy and heresy, the stoning of adulterers, the amputation of thieves’ hands, the denial of women’s right to testify and their equal inheritance rights, the divine sanction of the beating of women, the denial of basic rights to women and non-Muslims, etc.

If Muslims did these six things, voila! “Islamophobia” would vanish, and no events like this one would be necessary. But if you’re going to be in the Georgetown area on February 26, do drop by and ask them when their seminar on countering Islamic jihad terrorism is going to be. I’d be glad to come myself, but am not going to drop in unannounced; however, if Daniel Varisco would like to have a genuine discussion or debate, rather than simply demonize me and spread Islamic supremacist propaganda, I am available.

Australia’s Marxists will gather at their yearly conference at Melbourne University at Easter. Some will drop their children off at the ”School for Rebellion”, run by the conference organisers to indoctrinate even five-year-olds:

Judge BANS Muslim Patrol vigilantes from promoting SHARIA LAW in Britain

THREE Islamic converts who were jailed for threatening non-believers in self-styled Muslim Patrol vigilante attacks were today banned from promoting Sharia Law in Britain.

Converts Jordan Horner, 20, Ricardo McFarlane, 26, and Royal Barnes, 23, have been handed Antisocial Behavioural Orders (Asbos) which forbid them from forcing their views on others.

Judge Timothy Pontius admitted the order was “drastic” but at the Old Bailey added: “With the public interest in mind and the safety of individual members of the public in particular, it seems to me essential that these orders should be granted to run for that period of time.”

They were also forbidden from associating with each other and radical clerics Anjem Choudary and Dean Le Page, both leading members of banned group al-Muhajiroun, later known as Muslims Against Crusades, unless in peaceful worship in a mosque. Hope springs eternal in the human breast. 

Horner was also barred from being in possession of a megaphone which he had previously used to shout abuse at non Muslims. The Asbos will last five years but the converts could be recalled to jail if they breach them.

Herat, Afghanistan – Mohammad Yousef Qaderi still remembers the rush of people, their echoing chants against Afghanistan’s communist government filling the air.

Thousands of people in Herat province clenched their fists in the air, or waved the black, red and green flag of Afghanistan. Some carried guns, others had only pitchforks and sickles. “Whatever was in people’s hands, they would grab and join in the wave,” Qaderi recalled.

Qaderi said all of his pent-up frustrations were awoken as he too joined the march to Herat city.

The protesters saw themselves as part of a people’s movement demanding a return to Afghan ideals. The so-called “Herat Uprising”, which lasted from March 15-20, 1979, was considered to be the first major people’s-led insurrection against communism in Afghanistan.

Norway: Paki headbanger arrested for fighting in a Syrian terrorist organisation

Handing out Euro-passports to Mohammedan headbangers is simply idiotic. Moreover, its an act of treason against native Europeans. It gives Muslims rights they would never extend to infidels,  were they ever in a position to rule over us. A Norwegian passport doesn’t cure a soldier of allah from the disease of Islam. On the contrary, it encourages and nourishes  their delusional aspirations to conquer, to  take over and rule over us. A bullet to the brain would be far more effective.

A 22-year-old “Norwegian man” who was wounded fighting in the civil war in Syria has been charged with terror offences on his return to Norway. The man, who is of Pakistani origin, was arrested by officers from the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) when he returned to Oslo on Friday night and is  now being treated in an Oslo hospital for wounds sustained in the fighting in Syria. According to the newspaper, PST have charged him for “participating in a terrorist organization that has taken steps to realize its aims by illegal means”.

The man, who is from Oslo, is thought to have fought in Syria in brigades run by the extreme Islamist organizations Jabath al Nusret and ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), both of which are included on the United Nations list of terrorist organizations.

He has been charged for participating in military actions, murder and other serious acts of violence against Syrian government forces and other people or groups Jabath al Nusret and ISIL considered to be infidels.

The man’s defence lawyer John Christian Elden said, under the criteria PST was applying, all of the Norwegians who went to fight in the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s would have been branded terrorists.

“Our client is unable to understand the charges and denied culpability,” Elden said. “Had they used the same criteria earlier, all of the volunteers who went to Spain in the 30s would have been labeled terrorists.”

The man was seriously injured after taking a bullet in the leg, forcing him to return home.  PST believes around 40 Norwegian have travelled to fight in Syria, of which several have returned.
