Arab Muslims: intellectuals and revolutionary inventors – or barefoot illiterate desert dwellers, camel and goat herders and robbers?

Many articles (for example, “How Islamic Inventors Changed The World” and “Setting the Record Straight: The Miracle of Islamic Science“) have made provably false claims, attributing various inventions, innovations and discoveries made by others to Islam and its followers. This article lists only genuine Islamic/Muslim inventions, innovations, records and firsts.

Inventions

• The yellow badge that was to be eventually used by the Nazis against the Jews, was invented by a Muslim caliph in Baghdad in the 9^th century as a variant of the zunnār belt. This then spread to the West in medieval times.^[1]
• According to Dr. K. Ajram, the author of “Miracle of Islamic Science”, Muslim scholars invented racial-typing centuries before the German Johann Friedrich Blumenbach “divided mankind into white, yellow, brown, black and red peoples”.^[2]
• The world’s first PC computer virus, Brain.a, was created in September, 1986, by two brothers from Lahore, Pakistan, Amjad Farooq Alvi and Basit Farooq Alvi. They included their names, phone number and address in the code.^[3][4]
• The word “genocide”^[5] was created in 1943, in order to describe the systematic killing of Armenian Christians by the Muslim Turks.^[6][7] It is widely acknowledged to have been one of the first modern genocides,^[8][9][10] and inspired the Jewish holocaust.^[11]
• The “military band” is thought to have its origins in the Ottoman military, the same military behind theArmenian Genocide, performed by the Janissary and accompanying the marching Muslim conquerors into battle since the 16^th century.^[12]

How many time have we been told by well-meaning people not to say that we are against muslims. No, we must always say that we are against islam!

Well, I’m sorry, but I cannot do that any more. Words have meaning, and if we try and use words to be nice to our enemies, or to excuse them for believing in the very thing we are against, then we are just deluding ourselves.

Unfortunately the highly overrated Daniel Hannan also doesn’t get it.

The following is mindless drivel and unworthy of a guy who has had remarkable success as an intellectual and a conservative.

The two sets of extremists prop each other up, like exhausted boxers after ten rounds. Each falsely portrays the other as typical of a wider population. Hate-preachers slide easily from “the EDL” to “the English”; Islamophobes fall just as easily into talking of the Salafist nutters as “the Muslims”. Each wing is helped by the other’s iconography. The EDL waves St George’s crosses and talks patriotic language. Islamist extremists favour the most distinctive dress and symbolism they can think of. (More)

The EDL are British patriots who are trying to protect the homeland from radical Islamic colonisers. The EDL doesn’t  claim to have a religious mandate to conquer the world for their belief-system and they don’t have a holy book that tells them to enslave Muslims or anyone else. They are not commanded to kill and die for their god, whereas Muslims have a 1400 year history of killing and dying for allah, and will continue to do just that until we stop them.  There is a million things that makes the cause of the EDL a nobel and a righteous one. If Daniel Hannan cannot see the difference between the two groups which he so desperately wants to throw in the same bin he is an intellectual degenerate of the worst kind.

Bearded Muslim pupil at Accrington school allowed to return

One of two teenage boys taken out of a school after refusing to shave off their beards is allowed to return to school on Monday.

The 14-year-old Muslim pupils at Mount Carmel Roman Catholic High School in Accrington said it was part of their faith to keep their facial hair.

Governors said one boy could return after talks with Muslim leaders, but the policy has not changed.

Italian and Maltese naval vessels have pulled 34 bodies from the Mediterranean sea where a boat packed with 250 migrants capsized off Malta near the Italian island of Lampedusa, leaving at least 50 people dead.

Navy Vice Adm. Tim Giardina was demoted  from the three-star rank to two and relieved of his post as second in command of U.S. nuclear forces. It is the second firing of a top-ranking commander with authority over nuclear weapons in the past week. (NBC)

NP is headed by Marine Le Pen, who campaigns for curbing immigration and exiting the euro. Le Pen has styled herself as protecting France against both the “European Soviet Union” and against Muslim immigration.
