These self-centred sociopaths will be stopped only by capturing them, convicting them, and imprisoning them for many years, releasing them as broken old men unable to harm anyone; and by making their activities and ideology anathema to their families, peers and religious community.

Any proposal to shower attention on potential or actual jihadists in deradicalisation programs should be rejected for the expensive, cumbersome and ineffective academic and social welfare con-job that it is. A campaign to ridicule and anathematise jihadists as gutless wannabes will be far cheaper and much more effective.

Ludicrous.  The idea that the UN could broker a peace between rival Islamic groups by getting them to sign some kind of papers is fanciful, to put it mildly. Believe that and you’ll believe anything.

Houthi rebels and other groups sign security appendix of UN-brokered peace deal in a bid to end violence.

Yemen’s Houthi Shia rebels have signed a final part of a peace deal with the government, days after taking control of much of the capital Sanaa.

The deal signed on Saturday is an extension of the UN-brokered agreement signed earlier on Monday and is expected to put an end to weeks of ongoing violence.

Under the latest agreement, the rebels must stop all acts of violence.

Al Jazeera’s Mohamed Vall, reporting from Sanaa, said that the Houthi rebels signed the appendix overnight on Saturday and other parties inked it later in the day.

Former Howard Government Minister Amanda Vanstone is very keen to makes Islam seem as benign – or as threatening – as Christianity in her column for The Age. Trouble is, to do so she must torture history in a way that is astonishing – and sad:

The Muslim and Christian religions have much in common.

The reason is for that is simple, of course, even if Vanstone’s conclusion is misleading: Mohammed cobbled bits from Christianity to create his new faith but then, as a warrior himself, added the war-like twist that makes the two faiths profoundly different.

Islam holds no monopoly on the production of radical fanatics. Hitler is a good example.

Pardon? Is Vanstone suggesting here that Christianity produced Hitler? In fact, Hitler was at war with Christianity, as he himself explained: “National Socialism and religion cannot exist together…. The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity’s illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew… Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure.”

Muslim troops fought with the Allies in World War II, and Muslims in many capacities heroically stepped in and saved the lives of thousands of Jewish people.

Vanstone falis to add that the Mufti of Palestine was an ally of Hitler who recruited thousands of volunteers for the SS, that many Muslim terrorist groups such as Hamas today still say Jews are evil and their land must be destroyed.

“Buddhists are facing a serious threat today from jihadist groups”-- Ashin Wirathu, the leader of Myanmar’s Burma’s 969 group.

A Buddhist cleric accused (by Muslims) of inciting violence against Muslims in Myanmar says he is joining forces with brothers in Sri Lanka to fight what he says is the “serious threat from jihadist groups”.

Ashin Wirathu, the leader of Myanmar’s 969 group, told hundreds of monks in the Sri Lankan capital on Sunday that his group would support Sri Lanka’s Bodu Bala Sena in its “struggle to protect Buddhism in Asia”.

Muslim groups had protested against Wirathu’s visit to Sri Lanka, saying his arrival would only cause further divisions. His group has been accused of inciting violence against the minority Rohingya Muslims.

(Allah has divided the world in believers and unbelievers. Allah rouses the believers to fight. The “Rohingya Muslims” are Bengali invaders who would murder every last Buddhist if they gained the upper hand.)

“To protect and defend the threatened Buddhist the world over, my 969 movement will join hands with the BBS,” Wirathu said at a 5,000-seat stadium packed with monks and their lay supporters.

Under dhimmi laws, non-Muslims under Muslim rule may not testify against Muslims, so it is virtually impossible for Christians whose lands have been stolen, or whose lives have been threatened, to appeal to the local legal system.
Apparently the story is only appealing when Israel can be blamed.

Radical Islam, Israel and Agitprop

Many Europeans who would laugh at the idea of negotiating with ISIS or al-Qaeda say that Israel should negotiate with Hamas.
Almost nobody sees that the invention of the “Palestinian people” has transformed millions of Arabs into a genocidal weapon to be used against the Israelis, and even, as in Europe recently, the Jews. Transforming people into a genocidal weapon is a barbaric act.
Israel was urged to find ways to coexist peacefully with people who did not want to co-exist with it. Terrorism against Israel fast became acceptable: a “good” terrorism.
Hamas’s stated aim is the destruction of Israel. Its stated way to achieve this aim is terror attacks, called “armed struggle” by Hamas leaders. To this day the Palestinian Authority has not ceased praising and promoting terrorism.
If hatred of Israel is increasing in the U.S., it is largely confined to academics and other extreme radical circles, many of which are funding or receiving funding from Soviet-style agitprop organizations. Journalists are recruited to disseminate descriptions of “facts” as if they were real facts. Pseudo-historians rewrote the history of the Middle East. The falsified version of history replaced history.

We are constantly told by Sharia advocates in the U.S. — those who fight to kill anti-Sharia laws in various states — that Sharia applies only to Muslims, and only to their personal religious observance, such that restricting it would be to interfere with their First Amendment rights. The political and supremacist aspects of Sharia are conveniently left out of such presentations. But here is what actually happens in areas where Sharia is actually implemented: non-Muslims are subjugated and oppressed. Defenders of anti-Sharia laws should make use of stories like these to fight against attempts by Hamas-linked CAIR and its allied Islamic supremacist and Leftist groups to destroy anti-Sharia initiatives.

Major terrorist attack is ‘inevitable’ as Isis fighters return, say EU officials

EU’s 28 governments are said to be struggling to respond to threat of Islamist fighters coming back from Iraq and Syria.

“This guy seems to be one of the best bomb-makers in the world,” said De Kerchove. “This small group of veterans linked to al-Qaida is a concern.”
