Last week, using your tax dollars, Senator Brian Burston posted the below letter to school principles in NSW.

The letter is blatant anti-Islam propaganda and places Australian Muslim students at peril of being harassed and discriminated by their teachers and administrators and bullied and abused by their classmates.

Senator Burston’s behaviour is disgusting to say the least and is not appropriate in the slightest for someone holding his office. His willingness to place our country’s children in danger should disqualify him from holding any public office.

The officers of the Register will be writing personally to their local Senators calling for an investigation into Senator Burston’s abuse of power in using tax dollars and Australian Senate letterhead to spread hate speech and place our children in danger, and we encourage all of you to do the same.

We must hold our elected officials to a higher standard.

At the time, the UK media breathlessly condemned President Trump, attempting to mislead the world as to the problem with Islamic extremism in the United Kingdom, once again trying to shift the focus onto a diminutive group by the name of Britain First.

The hysteria carried on for a few days unabated, with an emergency debate in Parliament, statements from the British Ambassador to the U.S., the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Mayor of London, the Home Secretary, and indeed the Prime Minister herself. Fast forward, just a little bit, to yesterday, and once again we’ve learned that President Trump’s instincts were correct.

Sweden has proposed banning the public use of legal document search engine Lexbase, which is used to identify the ethnic origins of Swedish criminal suspects.

According to the Swedish government, the data released by the website is too sensitive for the public and should be limited only to professionals like lawyers, journalists, and researchers. Previously, the website was protected under the Swedish Freedom of Expression Act, but the new legislation could limit what data they are allowed to release, Dagens Industri reports.

In a statement posted to their website, Lexbase wrote: “The right to read these public documents easily via Lexbase will, if the proposal is adopted, be reserved to professionals, such as lawyers, journalists, and various companies.”

Sky’s Middle East Correspondent, Alex Rossi, said “the air is thick with the smoke of burning tyres” – with ambulance crews arriving at the scene where people are using makeshift slings to throw stones at the Israeli defence forces.
