Bad news in the battle for freedom of speech: today, the Supreme Court of Canada refused to hear my appeal of the defamation judgment against me, brought some eight years ago by Khurrum Awan.

Awan is the former youth president of the Canadian Islamic Congress. As you know, one of the reasons I lost was that the judge ruled that calling Awan an anti-Semite was defamatory.

But Awan used to be the youth president of an anti-Semitic group — the Canadian Islamic Congress. They even called for the legalization of terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.

But the judge ruled it was defamatory for me to call their former youth president anti-Semitic. Because Awan denied he was, and said he never knew about his organization’s infamous misconduct. The judge ruled I did not prove it was factually true. Even though Awan himself testified at trial that he agreed it’s reasonable for people to call certain statements by the Canadian Islamic Congress anti-Semitic.

I appealed that trial judgment, and I lost. And today the Supreme Court said they won’t hear a further appeal.

And so now I have to pay $80,000 dollars to Awan, plus his legal costs. That’s obviously a blow to me financially.

But what worries me more is that a legal precedent has now been set: if you call a leader of an anti-Semitic group, “anti-Semitic”, you can be sued for defamation.

Sadiq Khan attended a conference with one of the London Bridge murderers’ close friends who is accused of training one of the 7/7 bombers, MailOnline can reveal.

The London Mayor spoke on the same platform as Sajeel Shahid, a militant who is said to have helped to train the ringleader of the July 7 London bomb attacks.

It emerged today Shahid was gym buddies with killer Khuram Butt, who butchered seven people in the deadly rampage on the capital’s streets on Saturday night.

The pair once ran martial arts classes together at the all-Muslim Ummah Fitness gym in Ilford.

Mr Khan spoke at a 2003 conference alongside Yasser al-Sirri, who had been sentenced to death in Egypt over a political assassination attempt, while another speaker was Sajeel Abu Ibrahim, better known as Sajeel Shahid.

Shahid called for violence against British troops and ran a training camp in Pakistan where known terrorists learned how to make bombs and fire rocket-propelled grenades.

One of his ‘graduates’ was Mohammed Siddique Khan, who led the gang of four suicide bombers on the deadliest terrorist attack ever committed in Britain, killing 52 people on the London Underground and a bus on July 7, 2005.

This is the far-left Antifa movement whose members cowardly attacked political commentator Andrew Bolt on a Melbourne street on Tuesday.

Antifa Australia is a branch of a wider international movement which claims to ‘defend the working class from fascists and other right-wing threats’ and says ‘Aussie pride can f*** right off’.

The working class will have nothing to do with these fanatical ratbags.

Members of Antifa Australia have claimed one of their ‘family’ was responsibility for attacking Bolt with thick liquid at a book launch in Carlton on Tuesday – which lead to a brawl on Lygon Street.

Beats me why the Daily Mail finds it necessary to pixilate the part of their faces which is not covered by hoods or balaclavas. Are they trying to protect them?

Bolt claimed the Antifa posted: ‘Some of our family in solidarity were attacked by Andrew Bolt while they were protesting today. Why he isn’t in prison for his horrendous, violent language yet is beyond me’. 

The Facebook post has since been deleted.

London bomber on benefits: Khuram Butt was bankrolled by the taxpayer after jailed hate preacher Anjem Choudary told followers to claim ‘Jihad Seeker’s Allowance’

The jailed hate preacher even used the phrase ‘Jihad Seeker’s Allowance’. 

• Khuram Butt, 27, was claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance of around £300 a month
• Was also paid housing benefit for his council-owned flat as well as child benefit
• Butt was a supporter of al-Muhajiroun and an associate of its leader Anjem Choudary, who encouraged his followers to exploit Britain’s welfare system

THE ringleader of the London Bridge terror attack paid for a “send-off” barbecue for his neighbours a week before carrying out the bloody rampage that claimed seven lives and left 48 injured.

• The mosque boasts that it has been “able to organize many activities”. One of these, it says, “is to spread Islam to the non-Muslims in Finland”.
• Now Muslims in Finland want a mega-mosque. The idea that mega-mosques “prevent radicalization” is clearly popular among proponents of Finnish mega mosques, but on what evidence is this view based? Can they name one country where this was actually the case?
• Finland would be wise to look at what the establishment of Saudi and Gulf state-funded mosques in the rest of Europe has already done to the continent in terms of Islamization and radicalization.

In recent years, Muslims in Finland have been complaining about not having an official mosque. This is not entirely true; the Finnish Tartars have an official mosque with a minaret — in Träskända — which other Muslims are free to use. There are also around 80 small mosques in Finland, around 30 of them in converted buildings or private flats in Helsinki, although many of them are referred to as “prayer rooms”. One such mosque is the Masjid Iman mosque, located in Helsinki on the Munkkiniemen street. According to its website, the 214-square-meter mosque, which calls itself “The Islamic Multicultural Dawah Center”, was established in 1999 and is “one of the well-known mosques in the Helsinki area”. As is increasingly taking place, the mosque, according to the website, was formerly a church. The mosque boasts that it has been “able to organize many activities”. One of these, it says, “is to spread Islam to the non-Muslims in Finland”.
