ACT parliament passes religious vilification laws

Vilification on the grounds of religion is now illegal and in serious cases could result in a criminal conviction with a fine of up to $7500, under laws passed by the ACT parliament on Thursday.

Both Labor and Liberal supported the move put by the Greens Shane Rattenbury, who said the display of hatred, intolerance and offensive behaviour towards Muslims was one of the biggest intolerance issues in Australia today.

The ACT has outlawed vilification of people because of their religion, concerned about growing attacks on Muslims.

The University of South Australia had found about 10 per cent of Australians were highly Islamophobic, and while the ACT showed the lowest rates in the country, Islamophobia was still significant here.

“The University of South Australia?” Really? Who exactly was it at the UoSA who cooked this imaginary disease report?

“It is clear [Muslims] are frequently, almost constantly, exposed to discrimination, vilification and targeted offensive behaviour,” he said.

There is no evidence for that but their claims, which are for the most part bogus.

Thursday’s changes to the Discrimination Act also added disability to the list, so it is now illegal to vilify someone because of disability, religion, race, sexuality, gender identity, and HIV/AIDS status. Vilification can include social media posts, actions in a workplace and wearing clothes, signs or flags that would incite hatred, contempt, ridicule or revulsion.

Liberal leader Jeremy Hanson said the Liberals wanted a harmonious, multicultural society free from extremism. He had been shot at by Sunni and Shiite extremists and by the IRA, so he knew firsthand the consequences of extremism, but others in the community experienced the consequences daily.

Christians and Jews were also vilified for their beliefs and would be protected by the new legislation, he said.

Highly doubtful. Have Christians or Jews been protected in the past. Why start now?

Attorney-General Simon Corbell said the change was not designed to limit freedom of speech but to “ensure the political discourse does not descend into hatred”.

Of course it is to limit free speech. The idea that a gov’t can legislate against “hatred” is preposterous. Love and hatred are subjective. As we have a G-d given right to love, so do we have a right to hate those who would take that away from us.

Protections against discrimination (as opposed to vilification) were also extended on Thursday, with new bans on discrimination on the basis of accommodation status, employment status, genetic information, immigration status, intersex status, physical features, altered sex, and being a victim of domestic and family violence.

Good night Australia. These do-gooders are doing everything to destroy us.

Welfare Wahhabists are cashing in everywhere:

Belgian financial investigators looking into recent terror plots have discovered a disturbing trend: Some of the suspects were collecting welfare benefits until shortly before they carried out their attacks.

What an astonishing development.

At least five of the alleged plotters in the Paris and Brussels terror attacks partly financed themselves with payments from Belgium’s generous social-welfare system, authorities have concluded. In total they received more than €50,000, or about (A$76,000) at today’s rate.

The main surviving Paris suspect, Salah Abdeslam, collected unemployment benefits until three weeks before the November attacks – €19,000 in all, according to people familiar with the case. At the time, he was manager and part-owner of a bar, which Belgian officials say should have made him ineligible.

Many of the participants in a disrupted Belgian terror plot also had been on the dole, according to the judge who sentenced more than a dozen people in the so-called Verviers cell last month.

Khan believes Sharia trumps the Constitution – so the entire premise of his DNC speech was a big lie.

Jim Hoft, “the Gateway Pundit,” reported Friday that Khizr Khan claimed GOP presidential nominee Donald J. Trump is up against divine intervention from Allah.

Khan — the father of Army Capt. Humayun Khan, killed in 2004 serving in Baqubah, Iraq — told the Pakistani news service Dunya News that Allah works to make people, such as Trump, make mistakes in public in order to publicly discredit them forever.

Speaking on the Nuqta-e-Nazar program, Khan, a Muslim lawyer and widely-cited expert on Sharia law, told viewers he is overcome by emotion when speaking in public, but when he spoke before the Democratic National Convention July 27 in Philadelphia, the words just came to him because he was in tune with what nature wanted him to do.

During his speech, Khan turned tables on conservatives, who often carry and gesture with pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution. Khan himself pulled out a pocket copy of the Constitution and asked if Trump, himself, had ever read it. He then told the nominee from the podium that Trump could borrow his copy. “I showed the constitution only because I wanted to remind people that nobody could be discriminated against in the name of religion,” he told the host.

Senator-elect Pauline Hanson spoke to the media in Brisbane on Monday saying she wants a royal commission into whether Islam is a religion or a political ideology.

She says it’s clear from Saturday’s vote for One Nation that a significant number of Australians back what she has to say on that issue.

Hanson has called for no more mosques to be built and also to stop Muslim immigration into Australia.

Ms Hanson also wants to abolish the Racial Discrimination Act and wants a referendum on changing the part of the constitution that protects the free practice of religion.

She says Australia is a Christian country and it’s time to take a look at the rise of Islam, and what is being preached inside mosques and Islamic schools.

“You have our values, our culture, and our way of life,” she said in Brisbane on Monday.

“You don’t have a full burqa.

“You don’t keep putting up mosques.

“I’d like to know what they are actually teaching in those schools and what’s being said in the mosques. You can’t deny the fact that in these mosques they’ve been known to preach hate towards us.

“Is this a society we want to live in? I don’t believe it is.

“Do you want to see terrorism on our streets here?”

Has Mark Rowley ever read the life of Muhammad or any part of the Qur’an or Hadith? Almost certainly not. If he had, he would have come upon passages exhorting Muslims to kill non-Muslims (Qur’an 2:191; 4:89; 9:5; 47:4), as well as passages depicting Muhammad doing exactly that. So: “no evidence of radicalisation”? Only if one is unshakably committed to the unproven (and actually quite false) dogma that the Qur’an and Muhammad teach peace.

London knifeman was “devout Muslim”; neighbor says had no mental problems

Immediately after the attack happened, British authorities said that the attacker had serious mental health issues and no link to terrorism. Now his neighbor has come forward and revealed that he had no mental health issues but a big interest in the Islamic State (ISIS). The British (and U.S.) authorities try to obscure the motivating ideology of jihad terrorists every time there is a jihad attack. They are doing everything they can to keep their people from getting the idea that there is a jihad threat at all. This is a grave disservice to Britons and Americans, and the ignorance and complacency this strategy fosters endanger us all.

Scotland Yard believe Zakaria Bulhan, 19, a Norwegian national of Somali origin who moved to the UK in 2002, was not ‘motivated by terrorism’ but its officers are trawling his possessions for extremist material.

But neighbour Parmjit Singh, a BBC radio DJ known as ‘DJ Precious’ on the Asian network, said he had known ‘impressionable’ Bulhan for seven years, adding: ‘His mental health problems are a scapegoat.’

The 36-year-old said: ‘They said he had mental health issues but that was not the boy I knew.

‘The news of his mental illness is completely new, we never heard that. Honestly, I think his mental health problems are a scapegoat.’

Asked what he thought motivated the attack, Parmjit said: ‘I think peer pressure, hanging around with gangs. He wasn’t working, he was hanging around with Somalian boys and I think they had possible links to serious ISIS people – not directly, but they see all this stuff and are inspired by it.

‘Why would he attack an American woman tourist in a random attack? I think boys have put pressure on him to go there and do something. He was very impressionable growing up’. …

France: “it happens at night…”

~~According to reports~~, a gang of Muslim migrants in Paris ~~allegedly~~ ambushed and burned down a passenger bus in the Saint-Denis district around 1 AM on the night of Thursday, the 28th of July 2016.

The masked men set up a road block, threatened the bus driver, smashed the windows and set it the bus on fire.

The passengers escaped before one of the men screamed “Allahu Akbar” as he thew a Molotov Cocktail into the driver’s side, causing a loud explosion. The bus burnt down to a metal hull.

“It happens especially at night … Most often, it is stone throwing. But a few months ago, a driver also had to face bullets.”

A viral video has captured a mob shouting “Allahu akhbar” stopping a bus before torching it, in what was the latest in a series of attacks on public transport in France. Services in migrant suburbs of France have been beset for years by regular attacks, stonings, violence, and threats.

Is Saudi Arabia trying to manipulate the U.S. presidential election?

Are the Saudis trying to make sure that the candidate of their choice is elected President of the United States this November?

Khizr Khan is more than just the father of slain Muslim U.S. serviceman Humayun Khan and the mainstream media’s flavor of the moment in its ongoing efforts to demonize and destroy Donald Trump. As far as the Obama administration and Hillary campaign are concerned, he is a living validation of the success of their strategy against “extremism”: by refusing to identify the enemy as having anything to do with Islam, they draw moderate Muslims to their side and move them to fight against terrorism. By contrast, Trump, in their view, alienates these moderates and drives them into the arms of the terrorists.

That all sounds great. There’s just one catch: Khizr Khan, and the Clinton campaign, have extensive ties to the Saudis – far more extensive than any possible connection that Donald Trump’s campaign may have had to Russia’s alleged involvement in the leak of emails that revealed that the entire Democratic Party presidential nominating process was rigged from the start. Not that the mainstream media will pause from speculating about Trump and the Russians long enough to tell you any facts about Khizr Khan, Hillary and the Saudis.

Intelius records that Khizr Khan has worked at Hogan Lovells Llp. According to the Washington Free Beacon, “Hogan Lovells LLP, another U.S. firm hired by the Saudis, is registered to work for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia through 2016, disclosures show. Robert Kyle, a lobbyist from the firm, has bundled $50,850 for Clinton’s campaign.”

The Free Beacon added that the Saudi government has “supplied the Clinton Foundation with millions. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has given between $10 and $25 million to the foundation while Friends of Saudi Arabia has contributed between $1 and $5 million.”

And so we were treated to the spectacle of an employee of a firm that is registered to work for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia lambasting Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention, and then (lo and behold!) becoming a media darling as he excoriates Trump for his “black soul.”

Might the government of Saudi Arabia, which has spent countless bullions of dollars spreading the virulent and violent Wahhabi strain of Islam around the world, have any interest in making sure that a presidential candidate who speaks more forthrightly about the Islamic terror threat than any presidential candidate has since John Quincy Adams, and who has vowed to take concrete steps to counter that threat, is defeated? Is that why Khizr Khan, brimming with self-righteous indignation and misleading disinformation about the relationship of Islamic jihad terrorism to Islam, was not only featured at the Democratic National Convention but has dominated the news cycle ever since?

This has gone on long enough. The 28-page section of the 9/11 report detailing Saudi involvement in the September 11, 2001 jihad attacks were just finally released (albeit with substantial portions still redacted), after being kept classified for fifteen years by one President who held hands with the Saudi King and another who bowed to him. And for fifteen years, the U.S. has done little or nothing to free itself from dependence upon Saudi oil and develop alternative energy sources. Why not? We know the Saudis have kept the Clintons’ palms abundantly greased. Who else’s?

The big story of foreign influence in this presidential election is not some vague imaginings about the Russians supposedly hacking Democratic National Committee emails showing the Democrats engaged in indisputably unethical behavior. The real foreign influence story in this election involves the Saudis and the Democrats. Saudi influence in Washington must end. Khizr Khan represents an all-out effort by the mainstream media and the Democratic Party establishment to maintain that influence. In light of that, Donald Trump was right to answer his attacks, and should have been even stronger in his responses. It’s time for the United States of America to regain its independence.

An American woman murdered by a knifeman who went on the rampage in Russell Square last night said ‘he’s still here’ as she used her final words to warn others their lives were also in danger, a witness told MailOnline today.

The victim, who is in her 60s, died in a pool of blood as she was cradled by a family of Spanish tourists, as the 19-year-old silently stabbed pedestrians in the back, side and arms who were left ‘screaming and covered in blood’.

Police were called to Russell Square at 10.30pm last night and arrested the teenager, a Norwegian of Somali origin, on suspicion of murder after armed officers Tasered him to the ground. He spent the night in hospital and is now at a south London police station.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and two women and three men – who were British, American, Israeli and Australian – were taken to hospital. Three have since been discharged.

A witness, who used towels bought on an earlier shopping trip to stem the flow of blood, told MailOnline: ‘I was just trying to console her – I was trying to help her. The victim said something about: ‘He’s still here, he’s still here’ – after that she was not lucid. That’s when I saw someone. He was meandering about. He was very disturbed’.

Britain’s top anti-terror officer Mark Rowley said they have now interviewed the suspect, spoken to his family, searched his London home and liaised with MI5 and MI6 and believe it was a ‘spontaneous’ and ‘random’ attack, not ‘motivated by terrorism’.

Defending his decision to suggest terrorism as a motive earlier today he said: ‘You would expect us in the current climate to consider all possibilities’.
