Australia must face up to the threat of organised right-wing extremism or risk serious violence, an expert has warned, as the US issued a fresh domestic terrorism alert.
The US Department of Homeland Security has released a national terrorism bulletin, warning of the potential for violence from people motivated by anti-government sentiment following the storming of the US Capitol in Washington by Donald Trump’s supporters.
Although not pointing to any specific plots, the department warns of a heightened threat across the US, which it believes will continue for weeks after President Joe Biden’s inauguration earlier this month.

Islam has a moral concept called sacred hate and sacred love, in Arabic, it is al wala wal bara. What does Allah love? Muslims. What does Allah hate? Kafirs. There are 13 verses in the Koran that say that a Muslim can never be a true friend to Kafirs. They can be friendly with Kafirs, but never a true friend.
It is sacred doctrine that the Kafir can be hated, kidnapped, tortured, deceived and enslaved. There are no good words about the Kafir in the Koran.

French politician and presidential candidate Marine Le Pen proposed to ban “Islamist ideologies” during a press conference on Friday, the plan that would also include a restriction on hijab-wearing in all public places, France 24 reports.
The 52-year-old politician, who leads France’s National Rally party, told reporters that Muslim headscarves should be considered “an Islamist item of clothing”, as she unveiled a plan to outlaw “totalitarian and murderous” ideologies related to Islamic fundamentalism.
