Israel is saving Muslims from Muslims

* Hardly reported in the Western media, the very same genocidal lunatics who want Israel’s destruction are running for their lives:

To Israel!

The fortunate among the Palestinians who suffered at the hand of Hamas survived. The real lucky ones made it to Israeli hospitals. They are able to tell the tale of a hell on earth.

“In Israel, Palestinians tell of Hamas butchery,” by Fadi Eyadat and Mijal Grinberg for Haaretz:

Fatan al-Hinawi, 9, was hospitalized in the children’s ward of Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv after being wounded in Gaza. A bullet punctured her side, hit her spine, bowels, a kidney and came out the other side, hitting her arm.
Al-Hinawi is one of five Palestinians, three of them children, who were caught in Hamas-Fatah cross fire and taken to Ichilov. Some are in serious condition.

Shadi, a 23-year-old policemen, is one of them. He was attacked by Hamas gunmen a week ago. “There were five of them. They stood over me and shot my legs from the knee down. One of them put his Kalashnikov to my head. Instinctively I moved the barrel aside and the bullet hit my hand,” Shadi told Haaretz yesterday. He arrived at Ichilov with one leg amputated and the other leg crushed.

Unfortunately, we will never hear testimony from the dozens who were brutally executed.

Later yesterday, Zecharia Alrai, 39, an officer in Fatah’s elite Force 17 commando unit, arrived. He had been abducted by four Hamas gunmen a week ago. They loaded him into a jeep and drove him to an isolated spot, where they shot three bullets into his leg and dumped him.
“That’s not Islam. That’s evil and hypocrisy. How ironic that Israel is rescuing us from our Muslim ‘brothers,'” he said.

How ironic is it that Israel is saving Muslims from Muslims, while Egypt and Jordan remain silent? How ironic that the main target of Palestinian terror is the one doing the most to help? Where are the British doctors who were so quick to condemn their Israeli counterparts?

As usual, it won’t be long before the condemnations start coming. As usual, you know who will be blamed. It won’t be Hamas.

Thank God its Friday!

With the knighting of Salman Rushdie we have already seen the usual response from planet Islam, the fanatical frenzy, which, according to Winston Churchill, is ‘more dangerous than hydrophobia in a dog’-

Now, today, after Friday prayers, the imam’s, mufti’s and mullah’s worldwide will whip the believers into the usual amok-inducing lunacy that makes them go on a rampage looting and killing, firebombing embassies and attacking westerners or unbelievers wherever they are, we shall see…

Meanwhile, a few pic’s in retrospect from this weeks demo’s in Islamistan:

The Trouble with Irshad Manji

Irshad Manji: Islam is the problem

The irrational response to Salman Rushdie’s knighthood is sadly typical

GROWING up in Vancouver, I attended an Islamic school every Saturday. There, I learned that Jews can’t be trusted because they worship “moolah, not Allah”, meaning money, not God. According to my teacher, every last Jew is consumed with business.
But looking around my neighbourhood, I noticed that most of the new business signs featured Asian languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Punjabi and plenty of Urdu. Not Hebrew, Urdu, which is spoken throughout Pakistan.

That reality check made me ask: What if my religious school isn’t educating me? What if it’s indoctrinating me?

I’m reminded of this question thanks to the news that Salman Rushdie, author of The Satanic Verses and 10 other works of fiction, will be knighted by the Queen.

Read it all…

The apes from the MSM see the Manji Muslimah’s somehow as the magical cure to the radical Islamists: For them Manji is the ‘moderate Muslim’, which is harder to find than the proverbial needle in the haystack.

Irshad Manji, unlike Ayaan Ali Hirsi, seems unable to make a clean break with the cult, and keeps cooking her own private Islam, because nobody ever takes her up on it and asks the right questions about the immutable tenets of Islam, the attitudes and atmospherics about Muslims, and the subjugation of infidels, dhimmitude and the relentless jihad against the rest of the world over 1400 years. Western journalist’s who prefer to listen to the the Manji’s of this world, would find it far easier to find a cure for this disease by reading the Koran and the sunnah, but they just won’t go there.

Why not?

Times Online: The lipstick lesbian

“The good news,” she insists, “is it doesn’t have to be like this.” She wants a reformation in Islam, returning it to its clever, fun-loving roots. “

‘Fun loving roots???’ Never, never did Islam have any ‘fun-loving roots’-The mind boggles.

Nobody who has the faintest idea about this cult should give her the light of day. She is neither here or there…

Hirsi Ali: “Islam unreformed, as a set of beliefs, is hostile to everything Western”

In “The Role of Journalism Today,” a speech to the National Press Club, Ayaan Hirsi Ali tells truths that the assembled journalists cannot bear to hear from anyone else.

…It is not the end of history. The 21st century began with a battle of ideas, and this battle is about the values of the West versus those of Islam.
Tony Blair, a leader I admire, wrote in the first issue of this year’s Foreign Affairs magazine that what we were facing after the 11th of September was a battle of ideas, a battle of values. In his article, Blair began by incisively outlining the most crucial conflict of our time, but then lost the line of his argument in inconsistency when he came to clarifying the parties involved in the war of values. He backpedaled against his argument and declared that the Koran is a great book, ahead of its time and good for women.

Why are Westerners so insecure about everything that is so wonderful about the West: political freedom, free press, freedom of expression, equal rights for women and men, gays and heterosexuals, critical thinking, and the great strength of scrutinizing ideas–and especially faith?

It is not the end of history. The 21st century began with a battle of ideas, and this battle is about the values of the West versus those of Islam. Tony Blair and the Pope should not be embarrassed in saying it, and you should stop self-censoring. Islam and liberal democracy are incompatible; cultures and religions are not equal. And perhaps most important of all, Muslims are not half-wits who can respond only in violence. The Koran is not a great book; it is reactionary and full of misogyny.

The Byzantine emperor’s analysis of Muhammad was correct: he spread his faith by the sword.

Islamophobia is a disease

“Islamophobia is a disease”- claims Sherene Hassan in Melbourne, brought on by none other than Ayaan Ali Hirsi. No doubt the cure for this disease lies in more Islam. Sherene Hassan is ‘oppressed’- the usual Islamo-victim-speak, because as long as infidels rule with ‘man-made laws’ there can be only ‘injustice’- because only Islam and sharia, Allah’s law, can bring justice and free the Muhammedans among us from oppression, got it you Islamophobe?

From the Herald Sun with thanks to Rosie

EACH morning, when I cover my head with a pastel-coloured silk scarf and step out into suburbia, I am transformed from being a middle-class, educated mother of four.

My colourful hijab makes me a symbol of oppression.

I have already heard the latest negative news story on the radio involving Muslims.

I resist the urge to retreat to the safety of my doona. I go on to face a day when awkward smiles at passers-by are so often met with looks of disdain or pity.

Things were looking up for Muslims. I noticed with some relief that we had managed to avoid the headlines for four consecutive weeks.

“Its all her fault”: Ali Hirsi
This dramatically changed in the aftermath of Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s scathing attack on Islam’s treatment of women two weeks ago.

Now more than ever, Islam has become inextricably linked with misogyny.

Hmmm. Wonder why that is?

Ali’s chilling account of the mutilation she was forced to endure as a child rang alarm bells across the nation, and rightly so.

This deplorable act warrants nothing less than unequivocal condemnation.

But the Islamophobic onslaught by talkback callers after her visit was disturbing.

You may have missed Ali noting that female genital mutilation predated Islam because this was almost never emphasised. This, however, does not make it any less true.

Evidence from mummies suggests that female circumcision originated in the Nile valley 4000 years ago.

To this day, it is practised in parts of Africa by some Muslims and Christians and animist tribes.

Nevertheless, Ali’s broader message especially as popularly understood, remains clear.

Islam is responsible for perpetuating this vicious practice as evidenced by the Somali imams in her village.

They insisted on it, she said, to “keep girls pure”. Ali is far less forthcoming about the Christian and animist tribes who do the same.

But it seems we are only comfortable thinking of female genital mutilation as an “Islamic practice.”

* Better ask your imam or your mufti, Sherene, because they think so too.

The same might be said of so-called honour killings, which as fate would have it, also found their way into the headlines last week.

The Daily Telegraph in Britain revealed that 20-year-old Kurd Banaz Mahmod was murdered and buried in a back garden because her parents disapproved of her relationship with an Iranian man.

The report drew a link between honour killings and Islam. It said some Muslim communities in Britain practised sharia law and there was an increase in observance of sharia law partly because of “the rise of Islamic fundamentalism”.

But, here again, we are talking about a pre-Islamic multi-faith phenomenon.

* Not at all, Sherene. Not pre-historic at all. About 130 cases in England alone. More than thousand every year in Jordan. Uncounted others all over Islamistan from Turkey to Timbuktu. Why deny it, Sherene?

Honour killings have their roots in ancient Hammurabi and Assyrian law.

In the UK, officials state that Italian and Greek migrant families have committed similar atrocities.

* BS !

Are we to believe that they too are adhering to Islamic sharia? I think not.

The existence of such a barbaric practice in the 21st century is utterly appalling.

* Why don’t you tell your co-religionists, Sherene?

But while those like Ali claim to champion the cause of Muslim women, in reality their actions are counterproductive.

All they achieve by lambasting the faith that has enriched the lives of millions is to alienate the very people they purport to serve.

I am not averse to robust discussion to attempt to find solutions to the problems plaguing some Muslim nations, but it is vital that any discourse involves discussion with mainstream Muslims.

Clearly a more nuanced approach is needed to deal with such issues rather than placing Islam and Muslims in the dock.

* We are waiting for your ‘nuanced’ approach, Sherene! With baited breath!

SHERENE HASSAN is an executive committee member of the Islamic Council of Victoria

* You know something Sherene: Why should we infidels take the word of some Islamic female if her witness is only worth half of a man’s? Besides, the cat is out of the bag. We have eyes and ears, and every day there are less of us who would have twits like you pull the wool over our eyes and ears…

Here is another take on this from Jihad Watch

The New York Times is still The ‘Old Duranty Times’

180px-duranty.jpg

Walter Duranty: On March 31, 1933, Walter Duranty denounced the famine stories and Gareth Jones in the New York Times. In the piece, he described the situation under the title “Russians Hungry, But Not Starving”Contradicting what he had written in the New York Times, on September 26, 1933 in a private conversation with British Diplomat William Strang, Duranty said, “it is quite possible that as many as 10 million people may have died directly or indirectly from lack of food in the Soviet Union during the past year.”

At the NYT nothing has changed:

* Shamelessly propagating enemy propaganda, lies and distortions and a self-hatred that is almost schizophrenic, New York’s Duranty Times (google Walter Duranty) once again defecates on the troops for 7 dead Afghan children, totally ignoring the fact that hiding behind women and children is traditional Muhammedan warfare:

7 Children Killed in Airstrike in Afghanistan

By BARRY BEARAK and TAIMOOR SHAH
KABUL, Afghanistan, June 18 — Seven children were killed during an airstrike by the United States-led coalition against a religious compound thought to be a Qaeda sanctuary in remote eastern Afghanistan, the coalition said Monday.

The death of the children on Sunday may well add to the crescendoing anger many Afghans feel about civilian casualties from American and NATO military operations. More than 130 civilians have been killed in airstrikes and shootings in the past six months, according to Afghan authorities.

That toll may soon inflate dismally. Afghan officials said late Monday that more than 50 civilians may have died during fierce fighting over the past three days between NATO forces and the Taliban in the Chora district of the southern province of Uruzgan.

“I have seen with my own eyes that women and children were badly hit by bombing,” said Mullah Ahmidullah Khan, head of Uruzgan’s provincial council. “The fighting is inside the villages, so that’s why the civilians are suffering casualties. I have met some families who have lost almost everyone.”

If it wasn’t for this sentence you would never know what really went on:

But the American ambassador, William B. Wood, said the coalition went to extraordinary lengths to avoid civilian casualties. “Unfortunately, when the Taliban are using civilians in this tactical way, instances of civilian casualties, just like instances of casualties from friendly fire, cannot be completely avoided,” he said.

Read it all. Or better: Don’t bother, complain to the NYT

Update:

Looks like a ‘big fish’ was hiding among those children. Looks very much like we got him, too…

Al Reuters Calls Thailand’s South ‘Rebellious’

What does that tell you? After years of absolute BS reporting about ‘Thailand’s restive South’ where shadowy militants and ‘insurgents’ are doing bad things that no one understands, Al Reuters is becoming more adventurous:

First, the South was ‘restive’,- now, the South has become ‘rebellious’- but since one man’s freedom fighter is another man’s terrorist, Reuters still doesn’t call the Jihadists terrorists, because of ‘who are we to judge’ and that would be ‘biased’ reporting, wouldn’t it?

BANGKOK, June 19 (Reuters) – Suspected Muslim separatist rebels killed four people, including a district chief and an army colonel, in Thailand’s rebellious Muslim south, police said on Tuesday.
One soldier was killed and two wounded late on Monday as they clashed with militants who set fire to a school in Pattani, one of three southernmost Thai provinces where more than 2,300 people have been killed in a three-year insurgency, police said.
The district chief, the colonel and their driver were killed early on Tuesday by a 15-kg (33 lb) roadside bomb as they returned from another school fire in Pattani, police said.
Anti-government slogans were written on a small bridge near the explosion accusing the Pattani governor of involvement in the killing of four Muslim politicians on their way home from a meeting with him. The governor said militants were to blame.
Schools are regarded as symbol of the largely Buddhist government in Bangkok, which annexed the former sultanate a century ago.

Last week, arson attacks destroyed 13 government schools in Yala, leaving 3,000 students with no classrooms.
Three Buddhist teachers were also killed in violence which shows no signs of abating despite the presence of 30,000 troops and police.

Arab media uses cartoons to blame Israel for Gaza infighting

It was only a matter of time before the Arab media pulled out the Nazi propaganda-style cartoons to portray Israel as the culprit for all that is wrong in the Gaza Strip. Goebbels-style antisemitism is alive and well in the Arab world.

cartoonalwatan.jpg

This from Ynetnews:

Inter-Palestinian fighting in the Gaza Strip has unleashed a barrage of virulently anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic cartoons in the Arab and Muslim media, according to the Arab Affairs desk of the Anti-Defamation League Israel.
Cartoons and caricatures in the recent Arab press depict Jews in stereotypical fashion, as manipulative and conspiratorial and with hooked noses, long beards and black hats.
Recent cartoons portray Israel and the Jews as encouraging, mocking and enjoying the conflict between Hamas and Fatah.

Needless to say, I am not holding my breath waiting for a British media boycott of these newspapers.

A truck bomb struck a Shiite mosque Tuesday in central Baghdad, killing 78 people and wounding more than 200, even as about 10,000 U.S. soldiers northeast of the capital used heavily armored Stryker and Bradley fighting vehicles to battle their way into an al-Qaida sanctuary.

The troops, under cover of attack helicopters, killed at least 22 insurgents in the offensive, the U.S. military said.

The thunderous explosion at the Khulani mosque in the capital’s busy commercial area of Sinak sent smoke billowing over concrete buildings, nearly a week after a bombing brought down the twin minarets of a revered Shiite shrine in the northern city of Samarra and two days after officials lifted a curfew aimed at preventing retaliatory violence from that attack.

Gunfire erupted after the blast, which police said occurred in a parking lot near the mosque, causing the outer wall and a building just inside it to crumble.

Police and hospital officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they feared retribution, said at least 78 people were killed and 218 were wounded, adding that the toll could rise as bodies were pulled from the debris.

One officer said the explosives-packed truck was loaded with fans and air coolers to avoid arousing the suspicions of security forces guarding the surrounding area, which is full of shops selling electrical appliances.

Six of those killed lived in a house behind the mosque that also collapsed, the officer said, adding that 20 cars were burned and 25 shops were damaged.

The mosque’s imam, Sheik Saleh al-Haidari, said it was a truck bomb and the explosion hit worshippers as they left afternoon prayers.

“This attack was planned and carried out by sick souls, damaging the mosque’s outer wall and collapsing my office and the room above it,” al-Haidari told The Associated Press by telephone.

“There are number of bodies being pulled from the rubble and a number of worshippers were killed or injured,” he said, adding that he was not inside the mosque when the blast occurred.

The Khulani mosque is named after a revered Shiite figure who, according to Shiite tradition, was one of four deputies anointed by the Imam Mohammed al-Mahdi, who disappeared in the 9th century and will return to restore justice to humanity.
