The Ultimate Betrayal

“We were attacked treacherously. We came under fire from everywhere, but the rules of engagement prevent me from doing my job.”

The utterly wrongheaded policy that has American troops in Afghanistan devoting the bulk of their time to hearts-and-minds initiatives and to behaving like social workers is…killing American troops. When America pretends to have no enemies, its enemies do not fall into line and behave accordingly. And yet Americans are not allowed to fight back.

Yet another Which-Side-Is-Obama-On Alert: “US casualties in Afghanistan provoke rage and frustration,” by Jason Gutierrez in the Telegraph/via JW

There should be a full-scale investigation of this in Washington. But there won’t be, because most pols on both sides of the aisle still assume that it would be terrible to stop trying to be buddies to the Afghans and to fight a traditional war. They think we can actually win, i.e., create a stable and secure Afghanistan, by not fighting. Their naivete is probably incurable.

US Marine: “The Rules of Engagement Prevent Me From Doing My Job”

Someday, civilian and military leaders responsible for these rules of engagement, this policy of sacrificing American troops to make the barbarians of Afghanistan “like us” should come before at the very least a Congressional hearing, but at this point an out-for-blood people’s tribunal seems more appropriate. What they are doing to our military, our treasury, our power and our prestige is an unconscionable national betrayal.

The following news story describes the toll these rules, this policy is taking on our bravest young men — amoebas in a petri dish to the mad, see-no-Islam social engineers masquerading as American statesmen and generals.

From the Telegraph:

On a base near Marjah, a Taliban stronghold in Helmand province, Marines are grieving the deaths of a sergeant and corporal killed by the remote-controlled bombs that have become the scourge of the long-running conflict.

“Nazi Israel:” Obama’s Official Web Site Equates Israel to Nazi Germany

“The majority of the Israeli policies are the exact copies of the Nazi policies”
by Bill Levinson

Barack Obama’s official Web site, over which Barack Obama’s organization exercises editorial control, carries an entry that equates Israelis to Nazis and their treatment of Palestinians to the Holocaust. Emily and her fellow moderators at Obama for America apparently did not consider an entry that compares Israeli Jews to Nazis as “disrespectful to our other users and detract from a welcoming community where all people can engage in positive discourse.” Here is the material that Obama for America approved for posting.

Report: Israel Knows Exactly Where Shalit Is

A report in the London-based Arabic daily ash-Sharq al-Awsat, quoting Israeli officials, says that the IDF knows “exactly” where kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit is being held, and that the location is under constant Israeli surveillance. Hamas is aware that Israel knows where Shalit is being held, the report said, quoting an Israeli source.

The reason Israel has withheld from rescuing Shalit, the report said, is because of a fear that Hamas will kill the soldier if Israel attempts to rescue him. The site where Shalit is being held is surrounded by explosives, which will be set off remotely if IDF soldiers get too close, the source said, citing the murder of another IDF captive, Nachson Wachsman, who was killed when Israeli soldiers tried to rescue him in 1994.

UK Betrays Gurkhas, but pays £600,000 in legal fees for al-Qaeda terrorists

  • No doubt Abu Qatada  and his disciples will  love us for that. No  doubt they will understand that treating them any other way would “make us just like them”- can’t have that, right? Right??

Francis Elliott and Deborah Haynes/Times

The Government suffered another day of embarrassment at the hands of Joanna Lumley yesterday after it wrote to five Gurkhas refusing them residency.

The British tax payer has met legal aid fees of nearly £600,000 for three al-Qaeda suspects who have fought a ten-year battle to avoid extradition to the US.

Melanie Phillips: The odious BNP is only gaining ground because voters feel so utterly betrayed

“”It is entirely reasonable to want one’s country to express its own culture through its institutions, laws and practices. Yet those who defend this principle are called ‘racist'” -Melanie Phillips

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is ‘merely tinkering around the edges’

While the media minutely scrutinise Harriet Harman’s ambition, Jacqui Smith’s expenses and David Cameron’s taste in clothes, a lower form of political pond life altogether is expanding like duck-weed.

Last week, the British National Party won a council seat in Sevenoaks, Kent.

This should make us all sit up and take notice. Kent is not ethnically-riven Tower Hamlets or Bradford.

True, it was a Labour seat on this council that fell to the BNP’s Paul Golding – a charming character whom the party once expelled for allegedly attacking another BNP councillor.

Yet Suburban Sevenoaks is not some angry, marginalised working-class area but the placid Tory home counties.

This suggests that receptiveness to the BNP’s odious ideas is now spreading into mainstream British life.

Why Sarkozy is everything EUROPE is not (and shouldn't become!)

Fjordman on France: Can a Wounded Nation Heal Itself?

by Baron Bodissey

Below are excerpts from Fjordman’s latest essay at the Brussels Journal:

Here is a quote by Nicolas Sarkozy from 2006, before he became French President:

[S]ecurity is the responsibility of the State, I am against militias, I am against the private ownership of firearms, and I’m trying to make you think about that. If you are assaulted by an armed burglar, he’ll use his weapon more effectively than you anyway so you’re risking your life. If the criminal is not armed and you are and you shoot, your life will be ruined, because killing someone over a theft is not in line with the republican values that are mine. The private ownership of firearms is dangerous. I understand your exasperation for having been burglarized two times, I understand the fear that your wife and daughter may have but the answer is in the efficiency of the police and the efficiency of the judiciary process, the answer is not in having guns at home.

Yes, but what happens when the state neither can nor wants to protect its citizens, which is clearly the case in France and in many other Western countries today? Here is another quote by the same man, this time as president, in July 2008, when he announced the creation of a new “Mediterranean Union” in a huge meeting between European and Arab leaders: The goal of this summit for the Mediterranean, of this Union for the Mediterranean, is that we learn to love each other instead of continuing to hate each other and wage war,” Sarkozy told a news conference. That same month he also declared that Ireland will have to hold a second referendum after Irish voters rejected the EU Constitution, the same Constitution which French and Dutch voters had previously rejected but which was implemented anyway under another name, the Lisbon Treaty. In saner times we would have called this a coup d’état, committed not just in one country but in many countries simultaneously.

The European Union is an organization of corrupt parasites and power-grabbing traitors, mixed up with some dangerously naive fools. EU leaders are intent on flooding their countries with even more Muslims at the same time as immigrants commit countless acts of violence against native Europeans. The greatest organized betrayal in history is celebrated as a victory for peace and tolerance. Our so-called leaders open the floodgates to people who are, always have been, and always will be hostile to everything we hold dear, and tell us to love them. Unfortunately, others have rather different plans for us.
