When young Arabs attack a Jewish dance troupe Â (we reported) we must understand that it has nothing to do with Â Islam. Incidents like that may not under any circumstances become politicized, which happens obviously automatically, if one speaks about it. In addition Muslim federations cannot be held responsible for something like that, because anti-Semitism occurs in every society. Why Would Anyone Want to Blow Up Times Square?

When news comes of Muslims engaging in violence, the triad of politicians, law enforcement, and media invariably presumes that the perpetrator suffers from some mental or emotional incapacity. Instead, I argue, they should begin with a presumption of jihadi intent. That is, the default expectation should be ideological passion, not insanity. Spreading Islam and applying Islamic law are the goals. Of course, some crazy Muslims exist and they do engage in violence, but they constitute a microscopic percentage of the 15,247 Muslim terrorist incidents since 9/11, as counted bywww.thereligionofpeace.com.

April 16, 2010 (CHICAGO) (WLS) –Â People of different faiths gathered Friday night to extend condolences to a Chicago family that lost four members to gun violence this week

James Larry, 32, is charged with killing his pregnant wife, infant son and two nieces Wednesday morning.

His sister has said the suspect believed Islamic text he’d read instructed him to kill someone.

Muslim leaders at Friday night’s gathering reject any attempt to link Islam with the murders and have been in touch with surviving family members.

“Part of what we wanted to make sure of was made very loud and clear to them the strong support of the Muslim community in Marquette Park that stands with them, that completely rejects any association of Islam with these horrific acts,” said Rami Nashashibi, Inner-City Muslim Action Network.

Prosecutors say Larry has given a videotaped confession to police. He’s being held without bond.
