Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
Winston Churchill
Instead of prosperity, socialism has brought economic paralysis and/or collapse to every country that tried it. The degree of socialization has been the degree of disaster. The consequences have varied accordingly. Ayn Rand
First Amendment suspended in the Gulf of Mexico as spill cover-up goes Orwellian
(NaturalNews) As CNN is now reporting, the U.S. government has issued a new rule that would make it a felony crime for any journalist, reporter, blogger or photographer to approach any oil cleanup operation, equipment or vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. Anyone caught is subject to arrest, a $40,000 fine and prosecution for a federal felony crime. More>>>
Socialism: After 12 years in power and $960 billion in oil earnings, Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez is down to stealing private swimming pools to bring the good life to Venezuela’s “poor.” It’s a new milestone on his road to ruin.
It was everybody into the pool after Hugo Chavez took over the ranch of a former U.N. Security Council president who’s been critical of the dictator.  View Enlarged Image
Hugo Chavez’s Expropriation Binge
Acting like Robert Mugabe on cocaine, Venezuela’s dictator went on a shopping spree over the weekend, confiscating one farm and industry after another.
First, a flour factory run by Mexican multinational Gruma was plundered, followed by the nationalization of a bauxite unit of U.S.-based NorPro. After that, a steel subsidiary of Luxembourg-based Tenaris called Matesi was taken, along with a group of transport companies.
Unsated, Chavez then announced — via Twitter — the takeover of the private University of Santa Ines in Barinas state. And for good measure, he launched new exchange controls, another form of expropriation.
Last month Al Sharpton claimed, “Americans overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected Barack Obama.”   On Sunday the Democratic Leader stuck to his socialist theme. Sharpton told a congregation in Connecticut, “The dream was to make everything equal in everybody’s house”
So, can we call them socialists now? Via BreitbartTV:
An Ann Arbor elementary school principal used a letter home to parents tonight to defend a field trip for black students as part of his school’s efforts to close the achievement gap between white and black students.
Dicken Elementary School Principal Mike Madison wrote the letter to parents following several days of controversy at the school after a field trip last week in which black students got to hear a rocket scientist.
“In hindsight, this field trip could have been approached and arranged in a better way,” Madison wrote. “But as I reflect upon the look of excitement, enthusiasm and energy that I saw in these children’s eyes as they stood in the presence of a renowned African American rocket scientist in a very successful position, it gave the kids an opportunity to see this type of achievement is possible for even them.    Rest here »
My. What took him so long to figure that out? Conservative bloggers are pissing themselves as if it was a revelation. But a guy who is so far left and so consistantly wrong doesn’t deserve to be taken seriously on anything he says or does…….
What he means to say is white people shouldn’t be allowed to be more successful then black people. It is unfair that white people set the bell curve higher then those ever diligent hard working blacks can achieve. If only white people were forced (physically he hopes) down to the same level as blacks somehow…. like say forced bussing, forced integration? What? wait wait a minute didn’t work “goddamn racist whites to damn racist to want their children to be around gang and drug crime, black on white violence. To racist because they to want there kids to learn to read and write and speak English. Maybe the mainstream media could promote miscegenation? Still ain’t working fast enough motherf*****! What else could we do to make everyone the exact same, so its fair… you know fair for everyone. We could rub out qualities such as intelligence, comprehension, critical thinking. Still still its not fair those damn white people with their straight hair. REALITY CHECK 1-2, 1-2. Is this thing on?… Some things in life are not meant to be f***** fair.
Is it fair that with above average grades I could not qualify for a college scholarship, but less qualified people automatically go to school for FREE? No!!! guess what I joined the Army for four years did my time now I can go to school. Is it fair that less qualified people can take away jobs from people who worked harder and longer to become more qualified? It is the b.s. that keeps black people from progressing past the status quo set years ago. Actually it is this b.s. that has caused a regression from the status quo built up by a noble people who EARNED the right to be respected.
The first time ’round National Socialism didn’t work out that well. What will it be this time? International Islamo-Socialism?
Gates of Vienna
Our German correspondent maggieTh sends along his translation of a news article, and includes this introductory note.
Today, the Financial Times Deutschland published the data of an Emnid poll, as given in the Bild-Zeitung.
As of today I know what I have to have fear in Germany. It looks like the Anglo-Saxon nations shouldn’t have left this inherently socialist nation in 1949, but rather remained for at least two generations and trained this country in a free economy.
Since the breakdown of the debt-ridden German (and EU) economy is going to occur even if it takes a few years, the road to serfdom is clear to see and seems inevitable.
Note: Emnid is a very reputable opinion research institute.
I’ve got bad news for maggieTh and anyone else in Germany who thinks the USA would have put a roadblock in Germany’s path to Socialism: we’re heading down the same road to serfdom ourselves. The United States got a later start than Europe, and that’s why we’re so far behind, but Obama has put the pedal to the metal to ensure that we catch up as soon as possible.
MaggieTh’s translation: Majority of Germans want the socialist state
If work, security, and solidarity were provided, up to 80% of German citizens could reconcile themselves the Marxist form of government, according to a poll. It also says that one in twelve is willing to sell his vote.
A large majority of Germans, according to a poll, could imagine living in a socialist state, as long as jobs, solidarity and security were provided.
“Can you hear us now?” asked protesters around the country this weekend, challenging the mainstream media to drop a perceived news bias and give fair coverage to the growing movement against Obama administration policies.
Grassroots organizers pulled together small groups of protesters in dozens of U.S. cities yesterday and today, including more than 100 who descended upon the offices of the Florida’s St. Petersburg Times this morning.
“The press needs to be unbiased,” Joe Sekola, an organizer of a group called the North Pinellas 9.12 Project, told the Times. “You guys are (supposed to be) the watchdogs.”
Mao Fan Anita Dunn blames dead Republican for quoting Mao
Dunn has no class whatsoever. First she makes that tacky speech saying Mao is one of her favorite political philosophers and then she blames a dead Republican when she’s caught on video spouting this putrid Leftie mish-mash. Gates of Vienna /Â Read further…
Spencer: As noted many times here, Barack Obama has never shown much respect for the freedom of speech, or any interest in protecting it — quite the contrary. However, he shows no interest in restricting genuine and vile hate speech on his own website. “Barack Obama’s Anti-Semitic Website,” by Pamela Geller at Big Government, October 17:
Once world government was the obsession of Jew-haters, Illuminati-obessives, the Comintern and the odd dictator. But now it’s mainstreaming:Â
(Al) Gore touted the Congressional climate bill, claiming it “will dramatically increase the prospects for success” in combating what he sees as the “crisis” of man-made global warming.
“But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements.”
But that’s beginners stuff. The Goracle (still) infects his fans:
Australia’s comrade  KRudd is right on track. Just listen for once, if you can bear it:
“International law, international finance, international standards, global governance, United Nations, carbon trading, global warming, climate change, world economy, carbon footprints… Â ah yes: “working families” Â anybody? Â You don’t hear much about them these days.
If all fails (or if all goes to plan) career  rider  KRudd will still fall up the ladder and find himself a cushy position at the United Nations. Thats where spin-doctors usually end up. Just think about Koffi Annan for a moment: he didn’t  do badly out of it. Neither did Tony BLiar, Britain’s empty suit who is looking for peace in all the wrong places and reads the Koran every day.
The environmental group Friends of the Earth advocated the transfer of money from rich to poor nations during the 2007 UN climate conference.
And thats what it’s all about – redistribution of wealth via Socialism, with a capital S – the forcing of AGW obedience world wide is the sheep’s clothing these wolves wear.
