Sweden’s Parliamentary Ombudsman (Justitieombudsmannen – JO) has rapped the Migration Board (Migrationsverket) over its controversial reassignment of Lennart Eriksson, an employee who had voiced pro-Israeli opinions on his personal blog.

Other News:

    The action taken against Eriksson constituted a violation of his freedom of speech – and freedom of opinion, according to the Ombudsman.

    “The constitutional protection of freedom of speech means that, amongst other things, the public may not take action against any individual who has exercised their freedom of speech. There are no grounds for an exception in this case,” the Ombudsman wrote.

Sweden tops European rape league:

Sweden has the highest incidence of reported rapes in Europe — twice as many as “runner up” the UK, a new study shows. Researchers behind the EU study, which will be presented on Tuesday, conclude that rape appears to be a more common occurrence in Sweden than in continental European countries. In Sweden, 46 incidents of rape are reported per 100,000 residents. This figure is double as many as in the UK which reports 23 cases, and four times that of the other Nordic countries, Germany and France. The figure is up to 20 times the figure for certain countries in southern and eastern Europe.

According to a recent report, six percent of Swedish girls are raped every year, and that’s just the official numbers. Reality is probably even worse. The hostile Wikipedia entry on “Fjordman” previously claimed that my essays about the Swedish rape epidemic are false because the massive increase in rapes was caused by “a widening of the legal definition of rape.” I bet it was.

In other news: Sweden is burning!

Last weekend there were several fires in an immigrant suburb in south of Stockholm, but it died down afterwards in that area. And this isn’t the first time cars and trucks have lit up Tensta at night.

Friday night was a troublesome one for many police forces across Sweden with several reports of arson and unrest. Police fear an escalation in the violence.

Violence continued in the Uppsala suburbs of Gottsunda, Valsätra and Eriksberg as at least eight cars were destroyed in arson attacks.

A police car was subjected to a shower of stones in Gottsunda as the unit was sent to investigate reports of vandalism by youth gangs.

At around 11pm further reports of burning cars were called in by concerned residents in Gottsunda and Valsätra, who have had to sustain continued unrest since the troubles broke out two weeks ago.

“It started on August 28th when the police were called to Gottsunda to investigate a car fire, and were then met with stone-throwing youths. It has since gone in waves, escalated, and spread to other neighbourhoods,” Christer Nordström at Uppsala police told the news website Svd.se.

In Södertälje, south of Stockholm, there were reports of serious damage to at least seven cars. Police suspect arson.

The unrest was not however limited to Sweden’s east coast with further reports of arson at several locations in western Sweden.

In the Bergsjön area of Gothenburg flammable liquid was sprayed on a tram and set alight.

Now I notice that statement has now been quietly removed. This is probably why:

My comment: As I have explained in my book Defeating Eurabia, where I devote an entire chapter to explaining the appalling situation in Sweden, Ethnologist Maria Bäckman, in her study “Whiteness and gender,” has followed a group of Swedish girls in the suburb of Rinkeby outside Stockholm, where natives have been turned into a minority of the inhabitants due to immigration. The subjects “may encounter prejudices such as the idea that Swedish girls act and dress in a sexually provocative way or that blonde girls are easy.” Bäckman relates that several of the Swedish girls she interviewed stated that they had dyed their hair to avoid sexual harassment. They experienced that being blonde involves old men staring at you, cars honking their horns and boys calling you “whore.”

Israel beats Sweden in a Davis Cup tie that Muslim immigrants and the far-Left tried to disrupt – sometimes physically. But Israeli player Andy Ram is bitter, and describes what it is to be an Israeli player in modern, anti-Semitic Sweden:

Never in my career as an athlete have I encountered such hatred and such blend of sports and politics. Up until the last moment, the protestors attempted to prompt the cancelation of the David Cup match between Israel and Sweden. After we already landed here, their leader met with Swedish team captain Mats Wilander and asked him to call off the contest.

The Swedish players actually understand us and are quite embarrassed by what is happening, yet these events have completely changed my perception of Sweden, and it is doubtful whether I’ll want to come back here ever again.

The feelings within the Israel team are very grim. All the innocence that prompted us to play tennis has disappeared, and this match, which was supposed to be a beautiful moment of sports, has become completely worthless. Nothing here is reminiscent of the Davis Cup; what we have is a war atmosphere, tension, and the feeling that something very bad may happen at any moment.

Sweden’s anti-Israel apartheid policy is about more than sport

Neutral Sweden’s mixed World War II legacy is still debated by historians. On the one hand it supplied Nazi Germany with iron ore and ball bearings and allowed the Wehrmacht to use the Swedish railway system to transport soldiers. On the other hand, spurred on by the Danes, it accepted Danish Jews marked for mass murder by the Nazis. Ultimately, the good name of Sweden was redeemed by the unparalleled heroics of one of its own – Raoul Wallenberg, who, using the cover of a Swedish diplomat, helped save tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews destined for Auschwitz, only to disappear into the Soviet Gulag. For decades, no Swedish government had the courage to demand his return from the jaws of the neighboring Russian bear.

While this Swede will forever be revered by the Jewish nation, it is brutally clear in 2009 that Jews and especially those uppity ones from Israel are of little concern to Swedish authorities, as their policies become more reminiscent of apartheid South Africa or Berlin in the 1930s than a 21st-century Scandinavian democracy.

Dozens of anti-Israel activists clashed with police Saturday as they tried to storm a closed arena where Sweden and Israel were playing a Davis Cup tennis match. The activists hurled rocks and firecrackers at police vans as they tried to break through the barricades set up to keep protesters from the arena. Hundreds of riot police pushed them back using truncheons.

Rioting breaks out in Malmö suburb 

Scores of young people rioted on Thursday night in Rosengård, the Malmö suburb in which tensions have been running high since the recent closure of an Islamic cultural centre.

Some 100 youths ran amok for the second straight night, setting cars and garbage bins ablaze and throwing stones at police, police said.

Malmö Riots Spread to Stockholm

On Sunday I reported on the intifada in Malmö that arose among immigrant “youths” in reaction to the closure of an informal mosque in RosengÃ¥rd.

Last night and early this morning, thirty to forty people rioted in an immigrant suburb of Stockholm to show their support for Rosengård.   

According to The Local:

Fire and rescue services came under attack from stone-throwing youths in Tensta in northwest Stockholm on Monday evening.

A number of police units were sent to where a gang of youngsters had set fire to car tyres, rubbish bins and a skip, as well as attempting to set fire to a car, Dagens Nyheter reports.

Malmö riotsFor the last few days young Muslim immigrants in the RosengÃ¥rd district of Malmö have been rioting. The trouble started over the closure of a storefront mosque, and escalated to the point where RosengÃ¥rd resembles the banlieues of Paris, with burning cars, rock-throwing “youths”, Molotov cocktails, and violent battles with police. 

The interesting thing about the Swedish Intifada is that international anarchists and “anti-fascists” are acting as an accelerant in the conflagration, with explicit connections to the rioting that has broken out all over Europe in solidarity with the Greek anarchists.

Also worth noting is the assertion of Waqf jurisdiction: since the premises in Malmö had been used as a mosque, they had thereby become sacred and are thus the property of Islam in perpetuity.

Fresh disturbances erupted on Wednesday evening near the basement location which had previously served as a mosque in Malmö’s RosengÃ¥rd district.Fireworks were aimed at police and several fires were lit when police arrived to blockade the basement office with containers.

Lennart Eriksson Has Won His Case

Evidence emerged yesterday that there are still sane people in Sweden.   

At least one, that is. An unnamed judge in the country’s judicial system has ruled in favor of Lennart Eriksson, an employee of the Board of Migration who was demoted for his political beliefs.
