Never a dull moment in our glorious multicultural society! Today the Dutch conservative blog HetVrijeVolk.com published a furious email from the Rotterdam Labor Party councillor Bouchra Ismaili. I quote:

“Listen well, you crazy freak. We are here to stay! Hahahaha. Drop dead! I am a Dutch Muslim and I will stay that way until I die.”

Ismaili contends: “You are the foreigners here!!! With Allah on my side I fear no one. Me and my fellow Muslims are alive! Your species is being consumed by hatred. Let me give you some advice: Convert to Islam and find peace at heart!”

* That happened on January 14.

Well, she’s back!

Yesterday, she turned out to have actually signed the petition against the slandering of Islam, which is organized by the Saudi-financed anti-democratic Muslims of Hizb ut-Tahrir:

It is time to rid ourselves from a culture that damages our Islam en to propagate the beauty of Islam. Only then we will grow in our Islam. We should not invest in trying to change others, but let us change ourselves. Kind regards, Bouchra Ismaili.
No wonder Ismaili snapped last week. The email that triggered her reaction, after all, consisted of nothing more than two quotes by Okay Pala, the leader of the same Hizb ut-Tahrir that organized the petition:

We don’t agree with freedom of speech, because we reject democracy.

and

What you need is a heavy bomb attack.

I am starting to like Ismaili. She is not two-faced at all, she’s got a “unitongue”. No taqiyya-games. Truely a wolf in wolves’ clothes.

Of course, now even Labor has to let her go. I mean, I just assume that the local party president’s remark, that ‘Ismaili’s views are in agreement with the party line’, is a slip of the tongue. Yesterday, Ismaili was asked to give up her seat in the borough council.

This does not mean, of course, that Ismaili is legally forced to resign. She may just as well stay put as an independent Hizb ut-Tahrir representative.

Moroccans voters are abandoning Labor en masse, because they no longer feel that the party is safeguarding their interests. Ismaili’s downfall will only speed up this process, and it seems to be only a matter of time before the radicals will get politically organized. I quote the Rotterdam Turk Ali Guskizigmus in a (censored) reaction to the Telegraaf article:
I can easily set up a party that will draw 100% of the Muslim voters …if only the mullahs would allow it. We are told to wait until we can get 33%. Then, our time will come.

So, while the first cracks in Socialislamism are finally starting to appear, its immediate successor, Islamism, is already casting its shadow over the city of Rotterdam.

UK: Jihad doctors face trial in London, Glasgow terror case

THE three doctors accused in relation to the failed London and Glasgow car bombings last June have been ordered to stand trial on October 2.

Sabeel Ahmed, the cousin of the Indian former Gold Coast doctor, Mohamed Haneef, appeared by video link at the Old Bailey from Belmarsh prison, in south-east London, with Bilal Abdullah and Mohammed Asha.

The two attempted bombings, on June 29 and 30 last year, were described by Justice Calvert Smith, the presiding judge in Friday’s pre-trial hearing, as “notorious and serious”.

Abdullah and Asha have been charged with conspiring with others to cause explosions, while Ahmed is charged with withholding information relating to a terrorist act. His brother, Khalid Ahmed, died from burns sustained when he allegedly drove a Jeep Cherokee loaded with propane canisters through the doors of Glasgow Airport.

Abdullah was arrested at the scene and is believed to have been a passenger in the car.

During the pre-trial hearing, Ahmed and Abdullah initially appeared friendly, laughing and speaking quietly with one another until Asha arrived. Asha embraced Abdullah and the two men whispered throughout the hearing, but he did not acknowledge Ahmed. Ahmed is represented by the UK ‘human rights’ lawyer, Imran Khan.

Singapore detains pair who posed potential terrorist threat

SINGAPORE – Two men engaged in activities that posed a potential terrorist threat have been detained in Singapore, authorities said Thursday.
Two of the men, Muhammad Zamri Abdullah, 26, and Maksham Mohammad Shah, 26, were detained in December under Singapore’s Internal Security Act, which allows for detention without trial.

The ministry said Zamri picked up radical ideas through the Internet and had ‘gone overseas to join a ‘mujahedeen network’ so that he could wage armed jihad overseas and die a martyr,’ the ministry said.

Al Qaeda rocks Turkey

3 Dead, 5 Wounded, 18 Detained

In the early morning hours today, Turkish police teams conducted simultaneous raids in multiple locations in the southeastern province of Gaziantep, against suspected al Qaeda cells. In one of the houses armed clashes erupted when the suspected terrorists – a father and son – refused to surrender and opened fire on security forces. The police said the operation that began at 2:00 AM ended at Noon. In that location the two presumed al Qaeda terrorists were killed and a third person was detained.

A police officer was also killed and four others were wounded, two critically, in the operation against al Qaeda operatives that were planning a major attack in Turkey, according to security sources.

During the multiple raids 20 people were detained and arms, ammunition, explosives and lots of documents were seized.

COLORADO SPRINGS — M. Zuhdi Jasser said he is tired of being asked how American Muslims will vote this presidential election.
The Phoenix-based founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy said he doesn’t believe there is such a thing as a Muslim voting bloc, or anything monolithic about Muslims in America.

Furthermore, Jasser said, almost seven years after the 9/11 attacks, Americans still don’t understand they are not fighting a war on terrorism.
“Terrorism is a tactic. To call this a war against terrorism doesn’t make sense,” Jasser said Wednesday. “Muslim terrorists have a goal, and that is Islamic theocracy. “

MADRID — Ten men arrested in Barcelona on Saturday on suspicion of planning a suicide attack on the city’s public transportation system had intended to carry out the bombing last weekend, a Spanish judge said Wednesday in court documents ordering the men to remain in jail.
The detainees, most of them Pakistanis, were part of an “organized group” that was planning to attack Jan. 18 through Jan. 20, Judge Ismael Moreno of Spain’s National Court wrote.

The detainees include three potential suicide bombers, at least two of them Pakistanis who came to Spain in the past few months, the judge wrote.

He questioned the 10 suspects on Wednesday in the Madrid court, then charged all with belonging to a terrorist organization and some with possession of explosives.

Four others arrested Saturday were released without charge.

Judge Moreno said several suspects were arrested Saturday during a meeting at an unofficial mosque in Barcelona, where the police found materials that could be used in explosives, including nitrocellulose and timers. […]

Its members were followers of the Muslim revivalist movement Tabligh Jamaat, the judge said. The movement professes to espouse a benign, apolitical strain of Islam, but Western intelligence agencies suspect it of recruiting jihadists.

According to court documents, the Barcelona group was led by Maroof Ahmed Mirza, 38, and Mohammad Ayud Elahi Bibi, 36, both Pakistanis and the members most well versed in Islam. Hafeez Ahmed, 39, a Pakistani who spent five months in Pakistan last year, was alleged to be in charge of making and handling explosives.[…]

PARIS, January 23, 2008 – The editor of a French weekly, acquitted last year on charges of offending Muslims for reprinting cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in February 2006, appeared before an appeal court on Wednesday.
Philippe Val, who edits the satirical Charlie Hebdo weekly, was sued by two Muslim organisations who argued that the cartoons, first printed by a Danish newspaper, drew an offensive link between Islam and terrorism.

A Paris court ruled in March last year that two of the cartoons were absolutely not offensive to Muslims and that in the case of the third, the context of its publication made clear there was no intention to offend.

*  What an absurdity: courts ruling about what offends Muslims and what doesn’t. Why not instead uphold the principle of freedom of speech? Abandoning it leads inevitably to these tragicomic scenarios.

Disputed Amsterdam Mosque El Tawheed wants to establish an Islamic state also in the Netherlands. The mosque apparently made that clear to the Amsterdam police after a row about hate-inciting literature.

Former commissioner Peter Slot, currently employed at the Dutch embassy in the US as liaisons officer for the police, revealed that in a conference in Washington on radical Islam. Slort spoke about a closed session he had with the mosque administration after a commotion about a book calling to throw homos off tall buildings.

The administration of El Tawheed refused to renounce it. Slot:

“they told me: ultimately our goal is an Islamic society, also in the Netherlands.”

Moroccans want Wilders prosecuted

Moroccan organisations in the Netherlands want Geert Wilders prosecuted for discrimination against Muslims.

THE HAGUE – Moroccan organisations in the Netherlands want the public prosecution department to prosecute Freedom party PVV leader Geert Wilders for discrimination against Muslims. If the justice department refuses, then the organisations will approach the court to force the prosecution department to take action.

Chairman of the National Moroccan Council (LBM) Mohamed Rabbae said this on Thursday, partly in response to the film on the Koran that Wilders is currently working on.

Rabbae says that the public prosecution department is hesitant to follow through on the many complaints filed against Wilders and that there is some fear of taking legal action against him. “We want to force that action,” says the former GroenLinks MP.

The public prosecution department received more than 40 complaints against Wilders after the MP called for the Koran to be banned. The justice department has not yet indicated whether the complaints will lead to prosecution.

The LBM, which claims to represent 200 organisations, says that Wilders is waging “racist politics” by constantly insulting Muslims and discriminating against them. “Wilders is a racist with regard to Islam. His comments are not aimed at a race, but at a religion and population group,” says Rabbae.

* Islam is not a race, but an ideology that seeks to enslave, forcibly convert or annihilate us. If Wilder’s points that out his fellow countrymen support him, he is completely within his rights. So Rabbae: STFU and enjoy the movie, or get the hell out of Holland!

Jan 23 – US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says the US would be willing to start talking to Iran, provided Tehran gives up nuclear ambitions.

A similar offer was made in 2006 and Rice has often said she would be prepared to meet any time, any place with the Iranians to discuss any subject as long as they gave up nuclear work that the West believes is aimed at building an atomic bomb. Iran says it is for peaceful power generation.

Mosques in Britain are more extreme than in Iraq, according to the country’s deputy prime minister.

Dr Barham Salih claimed some mosques in Blackburn would be banned in Iraq for the extremist messages they preach.

He made his comments during a dinner party in Baghdad attended by Tory culture spokesman Tobias Ellwood.

The 41-year-old MP claimed Dr Salih said: “I am not surprised that you British are facing so many problems with extremists after what I saw in those mosques in Blackburn.

“What I saw would not be allowed here in Iraq. It would be illegal.”

Dr Salih, a Sunni Muslim, went to several mosques in Blackburn when he visited the town on the invitation of the then Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, in 2005.

Muslims make up about a quarter of the population of Blackburn where Dr Salih campaigned for Mr Straw in the runup to the general election.

Mr Ellwood said the comments made by Dr Salih at November’s dinner in Baghdad shocked him.

“I do not believe these comments can be dismissed out of hand,” he said.

“I was absolutely shocked. He went inside the mosques and said literature he saw would be illegal. He was quite clear.”

Mr Ellwood, who made the claims during a Westminster debate about terrorism, said: “The comments are only directed at a very small proportion of mosques in the UK. The vast majority of Muslims wouldn’t want to be labelled.”

Last night Muslim groups reacted with fury with what they saw as an attempt to smear them.

Salim Mulla, chairman of the Lancashire Council of Mosques, said: “We are going out of our way to bring the community together.

“Nobody is working harder than us at breaking down barriers.

“For Dr Salih to make these sort of comments is not very helpful at all. I don’t know where he’s coming from.

“He was very co- operative when he visited, and took lots of photographs. How many incidents have we had in Blackburn? He is talking a load of rubbish.”

* Relax Brits. Nothing to worry about. ‘No incidents yet!’ Go back to sleep! It won’t happen until the muezzin calls for jihad and the knives come out…

Canada: ‘Montreal Mosques  are Jihad Recruitment Centers’

MONTREAL – In a previously undisclosed interview with CSIS investigators, alleged al-Qaeda sleeper agent Adil Charkaoui described how members of Montreal’s Arab community were recruiting people for jihad before 9/11.

“Charkaoui explained that many are called but few are chosen. It’s a funnel effect,” according to a summary of the April, 2001, interview with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, just added to the court record.

“The person responsible for recruitment attends certain nerve centres, such as mosques. Someone whom the recruiter considers to have potential will be invited to meetings where he will be exposed to certain activities having to do with jihad. The person is tested. If any flaw is detected related to the security that he must respect to participate in jihad activities, he will be expelled from the group immediately.”

Nowhere in the interview does Mr. Charkaoui admit to participatingin the recruitment effort, but his comments reveal a depth of knowledge about the goings-on within Montreal’s extremist community.
