* The increasing number of hirelings and useful idiots in the West, of those who would sell their grandmothers dentures for a few petro-dollars, has bloody hands when it comes to disinformation, ignorance and the stupidity that is now so deeply rooted in Western countries.

Here is another ex-spook joining those like Michael Scheuer, hoping to get a free ride on Neville Chamberlines peace train:

“There is NO Global Jihad..”

Glenn L. Carle “was a member of the CIA’s Clandestine Service for 23 years and retired in March 2007 as deputy national intelligence officer for transnational threats.” In “Overstating Our Fears” in theÂ Washington Post, July 13, he says this:

We do not face a global jihadist “movement” but a series of disparate ethnic and religious conflicts involving Muslim populations, each of which remains fundamentally regional in nature and almost all of which long predate the existence of al-Qaeda.

In a circulating e-mail, LTC Joseph Myers, who has served at the Defense Intelligence Agency as the Chief of the South America Division and Senior Military Analyst for Colombia from 1997-2000, responds:

This helps explain to me why we have strategically failed in the current war to identify the enemy and understand and template his threat doctrine and why seven years into the “global war on terror,” we don’t have a global threat model for it.It is because, apparently, key CIA leadership responsible for “global threat” analysis has concluded that we have no “global” threat:

We do not face a global jihadist “movement” but a series of disparate ethnic and religious conflicts involving Muslim populations, each of which remains fundamentally regional in nature and almost all of which long predate the existence of al-Qaeda.

So the underlying conditions of regional, ethnic and internecine struggles within the Muslim community are the problems we face. And the CIA theory for the war on terror is that we do not face a “global jihadist ‘movement.'”

Hey Mister Dalai-man: Muslim-ology is Not Islam

The superbly insightful Bill Warner discusses the Dalai Lama’s dhimmitude:

The Dalai Lama said Sunday that “it’s totally wrong, unfair” to call Islam a violent religion. This is not the first time that the Dalai Lama has spoken up to say that Islam is not violent. Where does he get his information? He bases his statements on what his Muslim friends have told him.

For the Dalai Lama these Muslims represent the real Islam. They are not violent, and therefore, there is a peaceful Islam.

The Dalai Lama does not recognize the existence of a civilization called Islam. Islam has a highly detailed political doctrine that determines 100% of what a Muslim does to kafirs (kafirs is what the Koran calls unbelievers). This political doctrine includes what being “nice and moderate” to kafirs really means.

His opinions are of no consequence to Islam. Islam defines absolutely everything about a Muslim, down to how to say, “Hello”.

The G-8 remains committed to providing assistance to the “Palestinians” (why??) and helping to strengthen their institutions, Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda said at the end of a three-day summit of the Group of Eight rich nations.

Fukuda, in a chairman’s statement on the meeting, said the G-8 had reiterated its full support for the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations with a view to reaching an agreement by the end of the year and called on all parties to refrain from any action that would undermine the negotiations.

In a statement, G-8 leaders â€“ which include the US, Japan, Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Canada and Russia â€“ called on both the Israeli and Palestinian leaders to put a stop to violence on both sides, also calling on Israel to cease all settlement construction.

Noman Benotman walks into a restaurant on Park Lane, the exclusive, minimalist sort of place that is currently all the rage in London. People in business suits converse in hushed tones at nearby tables. Benotman, wearing an orange polo shirt and a gray checked blazer, fits in perfectly.

Benotman, a 41-year-old man from Libya, was once a jihadist. He fought against the Soviets in Afghanistan, and it was in those days, which some would later romanticize as heroic, that he met Osama bin Laden.Â Benotman says that he was once adept at using an AK-47, and that he remembers making out the faces of Soviet helicopter pilots before shooting them down.

After the Soviet army withdrew in disgrace from Kabul and Kandahar, Benotman returned to his native Libya, where he became one of the leaders of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG). The group, several hundred strong, sought to overthrow the regime of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, which they believed was corrupt and un-Islamic. Before Sept. 11, 2001, Benotman was an important figure in the expanding global network of terrorism.

Today he sits in a London restaurant and orders an espresso with a glass of water from a waiter dressed in a white uniform. He speaks with a flawless British accent.

WASHINGTON â€” It’s a nightmare scenario that awakens some U.S. intelligence officials at night: Pakistani-American youths will enter the country to carry out terrorist attacks after spending time at radical religious schools and al-Qaida training camps in Pakistan.

Officials say it hasn’t happened, and some experts warn against labeling all young Americans who study in Pakistan as potential terrorists.

*Â Anti American hate being taught in US Islamic Schools, inciting hatred andÂ violence

* Up to 700 American born Pakistani boys are being turned into headbangers in these madrassahs…

But the high-profile return home of two U.S.-born Pakistani-American teenagers last week who spent four years at a radical Islamic madrassa in Karachi has focused fresh attention on the potential threat, even though the brothers have no known ties to terrorism.

Their saga stirred concern among some members of Texas’ congressional delegation, prompting a call for congressional hearings and a request by 10 Republican members of the House for Pakistan to deport the estimated 700 Americans studying at the madrassas.

“From al-Qaida’s standpoint, Pakistanis with American nationality are very attractive targets to recruit,” says Bruce Riedel, a former career intelligence officer whose assignments included responsibility for South Asia. “They would have American passports that mean when they get to Dulles International Airport (outside Washington, D.C.) or George Bush International Airport (in Houston), they just sail right through.”

Denmark: Supervisors to visit Muslim private schools

Muslim private schools can again expect visits from government supervisors.

The integration and education ministries plan a special supervision tour at 25 school, in order to ascertain that the schools aren’t becoming a nursery for terrorists.

Education minister Bertel Haarder says that now, with Islamic terror, there’s naturally particular reason to pay attention to the school, as they know what’s going on in schools in Pakistan, where things have been allowed to develop.

The supervision will show if the schools are preparing their student to live in a society with freedom and popular rule.Â Should that not be the case, it will lead to changes in the private school laws, according to the plans, which have been received with criticism.

Turkey: honor-killings perfectly acceptable

* Â Though this study is revealing, it fails to note the correlation between religion and honor-killings. In other words, of all the honor-killings that occur, what percentage of them are at the hands of Muslims, Christians, Jews, etc.? Who, pray tell, has the lion’s share? “Honor killing perpetrators welcomed by society, study reveals,” fromÂ Today’s Zaman, July 12 (thanks to JW):

A study being conducted by a team from Dicle University in the Southeast on honor killings has so far shown thatÂ little if any social stigma is attached to the act.Â

Anthropologists, sociologists, psychologists and social workers are involved in the study, due to conclude in August. Associate Professor Mazhar Bagli from Dicle University Department of Sociology is supervising the study. (Seems all of the are clueless about Islam or are desperately trying to keep Islam out of it…)

The team visited 44 prisons in the region and interviewed 180 perpetrators of honor killings. Of these, 100 percent say they do not regret their actions, Professor Bagli notes. In some cases, the victim’s relatives even praised the perpetrator, he adds.

Causes of honor killings vary. “It is not appropriate to associate honor killings with only one section of society. Some people think that it is related to a feudal structure, but this has proven to be false. There are also perpetrators who are well-educated university graduates. Of all those surveyed, 60 percent are either high school or university gradates or at the very least, literate. The victims of honor killing are not always women; males have also been targeted,” Bagli says.

IRAN is poised to launch terror attacks in Britain if the West presses ahead with military strikes against its nuclear facilities, intelligence experts warned last night.

Learned analysts insist that the conflicts in the Middle East today are not religious, but purely political. But Islam rejects any distinction between the sacred and secular, and is inherently political as well as religious.

As tensions in the Middle East continued to grow, they warned that the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah had already established sleeper cells in Britain and mainland Europe tasked with carrying out bloody reprisals.

Likely UK targets include nuclear power stations, military bases, Government buildings and high-profile politicians and members of the Jewish community.

Richard Kemp, former adviser on terrorism to Tony Blair, said the difficulty of attacking Western and Israeli military targets directly meant Iran was likely to use its terror network to retaliate. Hezbollah, formed in Lebanon in the 1980s, has grown to become a major force in the Middle East.

He said: “In my view Iran’s only realistic method of retaliation is through Hezbollah.

Saving the slaves

International groups of Good Samaritans travel to the Sudan-Darfur region to offer help to slaves who now have nowhere else to go.

* Â Darfur Defector Confesses Racial Massacre of 300,000 Africans in the Name of Jihad…

* Â A HIGH-RANKING commander who armed and led Janjaweed militiamen in attacks on hundreds of villages in Darfur has come forward to say he did so at the behest of the Sudanese Government.

* Â Mr Idries’s account is both chilling and convincing in its detailed description of a campaign by ferocious horsemen who despised the Darfuris as racial inferiors. It also outlines a clearly thought-out campaign of ethnic cleansing.

* Â He said: “When we entered a village we were to steal and loot whatever we could. As for the water wells, we put sand in and blocked them. We cut down trees and burnt villages. We wanted to force the population out of their areas and give them no chance to live there again.”

Sudan and slavery are invisible to the Western world. Few if any American journalists are telling the slaves’ stories. Why does CSI go into Sudan? Because no one else will. It’s remote, it’s hot, and it’s desolate, with no electricity, running water or cellphone or Internet service in most places.

And, let’s face it. These victims are black. Politically, Darfur is in bed with China, which is in bed with the United States. Slavery in Sudan is a three-pronged issue: race, religion and politics.

So why should Americans care?

Because the Sudanese are human beings.

If slavery and genocide can go unchallenged on the other side of the world, it will continue to fester, and then when it comes knocking on our own door here in the U.S., in Denver, we will have only ourselves to blame.

There may be tens of thousands of slaves still in captivity in Darfur. If after you read this you decide to do nothing, then at least you can not say you didn’t know.

* The Darling Guru of the peace & love generation, the Dalai Lama, can do no wrong: like Peanut Khadr, he is seen as a ‘Man of Peace’, or even more so a “Man of Faith’. Hippies, Yuppies and DINKS (double income, no kids) sit beside ferals and peaceniks Â from all the nations of the world to listen to his indigestible schmooze as if it was heavenly wisdom. On the one hand, one could feel sorry for him for losing his feudal castle in the sky, on the other hand the Chinese may have more reasons than one for trying to bring Tibet into the modern age. But, as any properly indoctrinated PC-apostle will tell you: who are we to judge? And isn’t bringing a backward people forcibly into the modern age oppression? Yep, nobody should support the Chinese in their brutal tyranny of Tibet, but what can we in the West learn from a man like the Dalai Lama? Especially since he tells us that ‘Islam is a Religion of Peace’ (what would make him do that?) Â And if he doesn’t know anything about Islam, wouldn’t it be better for him to keep his mouth shut?

The Dalai Lama said Sunday that “it’s totally wrong, unfair” to call Islam a violent religion.

The Tibetan spiritual leader, appearing at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, offered a defense of Islam in response to a question about the rise of violent religious fundamentalism. He added that he has made a point of reaching out to Muslims since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The Dalai Lama arrived at Lehigh on Thursday for a series of talks on a 600-year-old Buddhist text. He took a break Sunday to lecture on “Generating a Good Heart,” and afterward took questions from Lehigh President Alice P. Gast that had been submitted in advance by the public.
