Julia Gorin: My unpublished letter to the Washington Times:

The Washington Times recently gave print space to William Walker, described as a retired U.S. Foreign Service officer and former ambassador. But Walker is much more than that. In Kosovo, he remains a hands-on operative who has trained, and implemented the demands of, our terrorist ally the KLA — which as predicted now controls the Serbian province as its “legitimate” rulers. The piece (“A Separate Take from Serbia”, Feb. 24) was presented as a response to an op-ed by Serbian President Boris Tadic, when in fact it was an attempt by essentially a KLA apparatchik to recycle and reinforce the long disproved propaganda that conned us into becoming the KLA’s air force in the first place. Walker, like so many D.C. bureaucrats and lawmakers, is desperately trying to bury our blunder and seal our deal with the devil.

In 1999, the Washington Times understood better what we’d wrought in Kosovo than it does today after 10 years of Clinton’s war being exposed as a farce. On May 3rd, 1999 it ran the headline, “KLA finances fight with heroin sales – terror group linked to crime network.” The following day the even more disturbing headline appeared: “KLA rebels train in terrorist camps – Bin Laden offers financing, too.”

Bruce Bawer: Media Takes Whitewashing of Islam to a Whole New Level

In the days since President Obama’s highly touted “speech to the Muslim world,” a number of commentators have pointed out that Obama, a self-described “student of history,” managed to serve up a pastiche of half-truths, exaggerations, and utter nonsense about Islamic history, and that even in his supposedly gutsier moments — as when he criticized the treatment of women in Muslim societies — he was hardly as forceful as the circumstances warrant.

It’s no coincidence that the commentators who have made these points have done so, almost without exception, not in major media organs but in places like Pajamas Media. For the flattering account of Islam that Obama served up in Cairo — the celebration of imaginary Islamic achievements in [1] science and culture, the evocation of a golden-age Andalusia where Christians and Jews were treated with respect and equality, and the references to the Koran that made it sound like the Sermon on the Mount — are of a piece with the fictions about Islam found regularly in the mainstream press.  This is certainly true of the New York Times, and it’s equally the case with the Washington Post — a fact that will be obvious to any reader of my new book, [2] Surrender: Appeasing Islam, Sacrificing Freedom, in which the index includes the following entry:

Now, with the single exception of the very last Post reference (the one on page 276, which is a thumbs-up for columnist Anne Applebaum), my mentions of the Post in Surrender all point to the reliability with which the newspaper clings to what one might call a wishful-thinking view of Islam — as if Islam were, say, nothing more than Episcopalianism with prayer rugs and burkas.

On page 102, for example, I recount a 2008 speech in which Post managing editor Philip Bennett “lamented that the media, including his own newspaper, had failed to give the American public a clear understanding of Islam.” He was right — but his point was not that the Post routinely skirts the severity of Islamic doctrine and whitewashes Islamic views of freedom of speech and religion, women’s rights, and so forth. No, his argument was that his and other newspapers portray Islam too negatively. The answer to this dilemma, in his view? Employ more Muslim reporters and editors.

In an interview held in late February 2009 with Al-Qaeda’s media arm, Mullah Nazeer Ahmad, the Emir of the Taliban Mujahideen in Pakistan’s tribal district of South Waziristan, stated that the Taliban’s jihad will not stop after the U.S. leaves Afghanistan. Ahmad further stressed that the Taliban’s jihad is not limited to Pakistan and Afghanistan, as its objectives are global.

Mullah Nazeer Ahmad also warns that there will be vengeance for the deaths of clerics killed during former Pakistani president Gen. Pervez Musharraf’s 2007 Red Mosque operation in Islamabad.

The interview was conducted in the Urdu language, and published with English subtitles on the Internet by Al-Sahab, the media arm of Al-Qaeda. A reference to the unity of Taliban groups led by Baitullah Mehsud, Mullah Nazeer Ahmad, and Hafiz Gul Bahadur dates the interview to sometime after late February 2009, when the three commanders announced the formation of Shura Ittihad Al-Mujahideen, with Mullah Omar as Emir. I do love how the Islamic world deals with such requests for contrition, they just say they didn’t do it.

After 9/11, the whole Islamic world had no problem saying that those who carried out those evil deeds were not Muslims. The same transpired after the London bombings. And while the Islamic world has no problem berating us all for the Crusades, try mentioning the Armenian genocide in Turkey.

Anyway, last year saw a bunch of religious bigots take to the streets of Mumbai with automatic weapons and murder as many people as possible because they could. All but one of the attackers were killed. Lucky for the world, Mohammed Ajmal Amir Qasab was captured alive after he took part in the murder of 170 innocent people.

Currently, his court case is ongoing in India, and guess what: a man who was not only caught in the act by those he was trying to murder, but is caught on film doing so, is pleading not guilty to the charges against him.

 in a land where you have a ‘Muslim Police Man’s Union’ and a ‘Black Police Man’s Union’ , a “Muslim Council of Britain” and a “Society of Black lawyers” which excludes -you guessed it- whites, you  will be banned if you call for ‘white rights’.

British National party’s whites-only membership rules will be banned under government’s equality bill

Harriet Harman told MPs in the Commons today that the equality bill would make the membership criteria illegal.

The leader of the House and deputy Labour leader told her shadow Alan Duncan that she was “shocked and horrified” by the electoral breakthrough the BNP experienced on Monday when two of its candidates were elected to the European parliament.

“There is no place for a political party in this country to have an apartheid constitution and the equality bill will prevent this from being the case,” she said.

The equality bill consolidates all the UK’s disparate equality laws into one piece of legislation, including laws related to the provision of goods and services, although it is unclear if it will be these sections which affect the party.

This week newly-elected MEP and BNP party leader Nick Griffin was given a reminder of the fierce opposition to his and his party’s views when a press conference outside parliament was hijacked by anti-fascists.

The Metropolitan police are appealing for witnesses after a man and a woman were taken to hospital with minor injuries after eggs were thrown and scuffles broke out.

EU judges today rode roughshod over the British Government and United Nations by unfreezing the assets of Al-Qaeda ambassador Abu Qatada.

The verdict by the EU’s Court of First Instance paves the way for the fanatic to receive a hugely controversial compensation payout awarded against the British taxpayer earlier this year.

Qatada – named in court as Omar Mohammed Othman – was placed on a list of terrorist suspects whose money and other assets in Europe are blocked in the wake of 9/11.

This is on top of the detainees that will be released into another prime tourist destination, Palau. Keep in mind all the Uighurs in Gitmo have acknowledged their connections to high-ranking al-Qaeda leaders like Abdul Haq and Hassan Mahsum while they trained in Afghanistan prior to 9/11……

The Justice Department Thursday morning announced that four of the 17 Uighur detainees held at Guantanamo Bay have been resettled in Bermuda.

Abdul Nasser — speaking for himself as well as Huzaifa Parhat, Abdul Semet, and Jalal Jalaladin — thanked the Bermudan government and people in a statement released by his attorneys. 

“Growing up under Communism,” Nasser said, “we always dreamed of living in peace and working in free society like this one. Today you have let freedom ring.”

The Obama administration put out some seemingly mixed messages on the Uighur transfer, saying that their release to Bermuda would make the US safer, while insisting the government would guard against their travel to the US.

An Obama administration source told ABC News that “the Uighurs will not be able to travel to the United States unless the U.S. government consents in advance.”

The Wall Street Journal on the price the US paid Palau to take Guantanamo detainees nobody else wants:

MONTHS of moral grandstanding and intense diplomacy are finally yielding dividends: (Barack) Obama has convinced Palau to resettle a small group of the least dangerous Guantanamo detainees. All it took was $200 million in foreign aid to a country with 20,000 residents and a GDP of about $164m. The Uighurs are not America’s problem alone; they were captured during “the good war”, after all. Yet for all Europe’s excoriations of Gitmo as a blight on America, no one jumped at this easy chance to reduce the prison population. According to news reports, the Obama administration asked more than 100 allies (ie, basically everyone) to accept custody. Palau deserves credit for its “humanitarian gesture”, as Palau President Johnson Toribiong called it, though the $200m in aid probably helped. That works out to $11.7m for each detainee.

Convicted ‘shoe-bomber’ Richard Reid, who was found guilty in 2003 of trying to blow up a transatlantic jetliner, is on hunger strike.

Court documents in the U.S. show that the London-born terrorist has been refusing food for several weeks and is being force-fed.

It is believed the hunger strike could be related to a lawsuit he has filed against prison officials.

Reid’s lawsuit alleges prison authorities have repeatedly prevented him from following the tenets of his Sunni Muslim faith.

LAHORE: Taliban set fire to three more schools in Lower Dir on Tuesday, a private TV channel reported. According to the channel, the schools – Government Girls’ High School in Sangolai, Government Girls’ High School in Chinar Kot and Government Middle School in Sherkhanai – were all situated in Maidan tehsil. Taliban have destroyed 10 schools in the last week.

“Islam tells us not to have any links with unbelievers. That is why this man will be executed in the name of Allah…”

“They will see that we are jihadists, envoys of God, and their deaths will be the fault of their governments and their policies.”

Not that this has anything to do with Islam, of course.

This from a Guy that sat in a church for 20 years and listened to the anti-semetic Preacher who just 4 days ago had this to say  in an exclusive interview at the 95th annual Hampton University Ministers’ Conference Wright sounds off on Obama and ‘Jews’, Wright told the Daily Press that he has not spoken to his former church member since Obama became president, and he implied that the White House won’t allow Obama to talk to him.

 “Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me,” Wright said. “I told my baby daughter that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.”


 Tell me someone – what will it take for decent Liberal Jews to admit they made a mistake and help expose this Charlatan. Yes we must remain doubly vigilant from  a double-talker.
