Inayat Bunglawala is waiting to find out whether he will face charges over an alleged stabbing

A Muslim who advised the Government following the July 7 London bombings has been arrested after an alleged stabbing.

Inayat Bunglawala, 39, was held on suspicion of attacking another man at his £300,000 home.

Mr Bunglawala, who also briefed former Security Minister Tony McNulty on the threat posed by Islamic radicals in the UK, was arrested two weeks before Christmas last year.

The identity of the alleged victim is unknown and it is not clear what circumstances led to the alleged attack in the early hours of December 13 last year.

Mr Bunglawala has been released on bail while the Crown Prosecution Service considers bringing charges.

Mr Bunglawala is one of the most prominent members of the Muslim Council of Britain, an organisation which advises the Government on extremism and counter-terrorism.

After the July 7 London bombings in 2005, he was one of seven Muslims appointed to a Home Office taskforce tackling radicalisation in the UK.

Last week, Mr Bunglawala was featured on the BBC and in many newspapers as the moderate ‘voice’ of British Islam after the Luton anti-war demonstrations.

Critics claim his arrest will once again focus attention on the MCB.

In his final years as Prime Minister, Tony Blair came to distrust the organisation amid claims it was linked to Islamic extremism. But the MCB has enjoyed a renaissance under Gordon Brown and briefed Counter-Terrorism Minister Bill Rammell on community tensions last week. MCB representatives also advised Foreign Secretary David Miliband during last year’s Israel-Gaza War.

The British live ‘like animals in a jungle’ with their alcohol, gambling, prostitution and pornography.

That is the stated view of Anjem Choudary, the preacher of hate who this week insulted the families of dead soldiers and branded their marching comrades as cowards.

The extremist wants Britain to be brought under Sharia law, with women forced to wear burkas and put to death for adultery.

Yet before he grew his beard and turned to fundamentalism, Choudary, 41, was very much the life and soul of the party at Southampton University.

Photographs obtained by the Mail suggest ‘Andy’ – as he was then known – should be inflicting on himself the 40 lashes he prescribes for drunkenness.

As well as downing cider and lager, the cleric is shown playing drinking games with cards, clearly forbidden under his strict Islamic laws, and holding a cannabis joint between his lips before smoking it.

And the woman on the cover of the Mayfair pornographic magazine he is looking at is certainly not wearing a burka.

On the evidence of friends from his student days, Choudary had sex with numerous white Christian girls.

Under his version of Sharia law, he should be stoned to death for sex outside marriage.

One former friend said: ‘I can’t keep a straight face when I see “fundamentalist Muslim Anjem Choudary” in the papers attacking the British for drinking or having girlfriends.

‘When I knew him, he liked to be called Andy, would often smoke cannabis spliffs all day, and was proud of his ability to down a pint of cider in a couple of seconds.

‘And he was ruthless with girls. When he briefly worked as an English teacher for foreign students in London, he’d pull one of them every few days, sleep with her, then move on to another.

‘If Sharia law was introduced, he would have been whipped and stoned to death many times over.’ 

Choudary, who was born in South-East London to a market stall-holder of Pakistani descent, has become one of the faces of extremist Islam.

released a report on the tens of millions of Norwegian Kroner (NOK) given 
annually by the Norwegian government to extreme NGOs that demonize Israel 
and fuel hostility. The report details how public funds, which are directed 
to NGOs that operate in the Palestinian Authority and Gaza, fail to promote 
coexistence or Palestinian human rights and democracy.

Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs allocated an estimated NOK 187million 
in 2006 to NGOs active in the Palestinian Authority and Gaza. Many of these 
funds are utilized by influential Norwegian humanitarian and development 
NGOs such as Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA). Yet, among its activities, NPA 
has aligned itself with campaigns that accuse Israel of ‘ethnic cleansing’, 
‘apartheid’ and even regard Israel’s very creation as a ‘naqba’ (catastrophe 
in Arabic). This highly damaging rhetoric alienates Israelis and 
contributes to a deep sense of animosity between Palestinians and Israelis.

US to release 100 Gitmo apes to… Saudi Arabia!

WASHINGTON — Some of the roughly 100 Yemenis held at Guantanamo Bay would go to Saudi Arabia under a plan being discussed by U.S. and Saudi officials, said people briefed on the talks.

Yemenis make up the largest national grouping among the roughly 250 inmates still at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo. U.S. officials believe addressing their fate is urgent if President Barack Obama is to make good on his commitment to close the prison by January 2010.

Odd, however, that even though billions of peoples around this world suffer from “educational, economic and political backwardness,” the Islamic world has the lion’s share of terrorism. To be sure, Latin/South American and non-Muslim Asian and African countries also suffer “educational, economic, and political backwardness,” — indeed, anything and everything the Muslim world suffers, oftentimes more. Yet there are no records of, say, practicing Christians, Buddhists, or African animists crashing explosives-laden vehicles into their respective government’s buildings all while screaming “Jesus” or “Buddha” or “Buluku” “is great!” Why? When a non-Muslim Westerner cites all those factors as being responsible for terrorism, that’s simply ignorance, or wishful thinking; when a Muslim does it, however, such as Pakistan’s PM, it may well be taqiyya.

The demand came in an interview near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border with Qari, a man who preferred to identify himself only by his first name.

Qari says he’s a close aide of Gul Bahadur, the Taliban head in the volatile North Waziristan region who is alleged to be responsible for the kidnapping of Beverly Giesbrecht, a West Vancouver woman who was in the area working as a freelance journalist.

Sheik comments: it is more than likely that Khadija sees this as her personal jihad in order to finance the Taliban. It is unlikely that she has really been kidnapped or that the Taliban will kill her if ransom is not paid. We should ignore it and leave her where she is.
