International Islamic organization slams Israeli program on Muhammad and calls again for free speech restrictions

 “No details about the show are given, such as the name of it, what the ‘insult’ was, etc.” But it doesn’t matter. Dhimmis aren’t supposed to speak about Islam and Muhammad in anything but the most glowing terms.

The OIC “emphatically reaffirms that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a red line for the Muslim Ummah.” Ihsanoglu has previously said that a “red line” must be drawn for the West, placing “insults” off limits. But who draws that line? Who determines what is an insult? What if the OIC is given this power, and decides – as it has already stated — that counterterror speech is an insult to Islam? The objective here ultimately is to render the West silent and unable to combat jihad and Islamic supremacism, and thus to enable the triumph over and Islamization of the West.

CPAC: A squandered opportunity

Patrick Poole, whom I had the pleasure of meeting face-to-face at CPAC, discusses the conference’s curious silence about the most pressing issues of our day: the global jihad and the concomitant threat to free speech — and discusses the Norquistian influence that may account for that silence.

[…] That the conservative movement has slid into complete irrelevancy was demonstrated by the absence of any ideas — nay, any discussion whatsoever — of several of the most pressing political issues of our day. As fellow blogger Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugged [sic] observed, there was not a single panel on the War on Terror, the growing threats to free speech, or the cultural jihad underway in the West.What should have been one of the most important events of this year’s CPAC, the appearance by Dutch parliamentarian and anti-jihad activist Geert Wilders, was relegated to the opposite side of the hotel, divorced from all of the other conference proceedings. There were no official announcements that this event would even be taking place (none that I heard at least), and when trying to locate the room in which it would be held, not a single CPAC staffer could tell me where. And this event only happened because David Horowitz, Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and Andy Bostom personally shelled out the money to make it happen.

It should be noted also that while Atlas Shrugs, the Horowitz Freedom Center, Jihad Watch, and Andy Bostom did contribute, it was Pamela Geller who single-handedly organized the thing and made it happen. She was bold, imaginative, and tireless, and shows us all what one citizen can do to make a difference if the will and the heart are there.

ALLAH IS NOT GOD: Malaysia restores 'Allah' ban for Christians

* The soldiers of Allah go proselytizing in the lands of the infidels by peddling that “three Abrahamic religions” kumbayah stuff. So far nobody has come out and told them that Al-Ilha, the pagan moon-god of the ancient desert Arabs, has nothing in common with the God Jews and Christians worship. 

Because when it comes to the crunch, on the other side of the fence, in countries where Koranimals have the upper hand, the dhimmies are not allowed to call God “Allah”- (that means for the remaining Christians in Malaysia and  other Muslim occupied territories their defense mechanism is past its use-by date…)

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — The Malaysian government will issue a new decree restoring a ban on Christian publications using the word “Allah” to refer to God, officials said Sunday.

Home Affairs Minister Syed Hamid Albar said a Feb. 16 decree that let Christian publications use the word as long as they specified the material was not for Muslims was a mistake, the national Bernama news agency reported.

The about-turn came after Islamic groups slammed the government and warned that even conditional use of the word by Christians would anger Muslims in the largely Islamic country. (Can’t have “angry Muslims- what to do, what to do..?)

The limits of engagement (the end of a farce)

The Obama administration’s decision not to attend the Durban Review Conference, scheduled to open in Geneva on April 21, is a very significant step toward ending the obsessive “soft-power attacks” against Israel and restoring the moral foundations of human rights.

If Washington’s conclusion leads the Europeans to a similar move, the conference might be cancelled, or, if it is held, it will be seen as a farce, with participants limited to Iran, Libya, their Muslim allies and some marginal states.

    The very idea that because Al Qaeda was based in Afghanistan, Afghanistan has a special, irreplaceable importance in the “war against terrorism,” is false.

    In the first place, the fact that Al Qaeda found Afghanistan under the Taliban (a Taliban nurtured by an American-supported Pakistan, and recognized by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) useful does not mean that Al Qaeda can only regroup in Afghanistan. The terrorist attacks in London were not hatched by those trained in Afghanistan, but by people living in, raised in, Great Britain. Those who bombed the Atocha station in Madrid were not from Afghanistan. Those who killed Pim Fortuyn (a weak-minded Dutchman put up to it by Muslims) and Theo van Gogh were not trained in Afghanistan. The Chechens who seized the theatre in Moscow, or the school in Beslan, were not trained in Afghanistan. Anywhere there are Muslims, ready to participate in Jihad through violence, they will be able to find sufficient weaponry and bombs. Afghanistan is being endowed with a significance it does not possess.

    Britain has imported the makings of a small civil war:

    By MI5’s own admission, there are 2,000 terrorists suspects in the UK, perhaps twice that number who are susceptible to recruitment. As Jonathan Evans, the director-general, put it in January: ‘We don’t have anything approaching comprehensive coverage.’ MI5 deserves great praise for thwarting numerous attacks but sources say the Security Service can monitor, at most, two live plots at a time.

    That war is not just being fought on British soil: 


    Interceptions of Taliban communications have shown that British jihadists some “speaking with West Midlands accents” are active in Helmand and other parts of southern Afghanistan, according to briefing papers prepared by an official security agency… MI5 has estimated that up to 4,000 British Muslims had travelled to Pakistan and, before the fall of the Taliban, to Afghanistan for military training.

    And not all its jihadists are fighting against British targets:

    A university student who became a suicide bomber in Somalia is believed to be the first of a new wave of British-based Islamic terrorism. The 21-year-old reportedly blew himself up at a military checkpoint killing up to 20 soldiers in the southern Somali town of Baidoa…

    The killings come amid warnings that dozens of Islamic extremists have returned to Britain from terror training camps in Somalia… Peter Neumann, a terrorism expert at the Centre for the Study of Radicalisation at King’s College London, said: ‘The numbers I hear (going from Britain to Somalia) are 50, 60 or 70 but in reality we don’t know.

    America has a very much smaller problem – but cannot be complacent:

    (A) Somali-American man who was one of several suicide bombers in a terrorist attack last October in Somalia had apparently been indoctrinated into his extremist beliefs while living in the United States.

    (Berlin) – German state bans on religious symbols and clothing for teachers and other civil servants discriminate against Muslim women who wear the headscarf, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today.

    The 67-page report, “Discrimination in the Name of Neutrality: Headscarf Bans for Teachers and Civil Servants in Germany,” is based on extensive research over an eight-month period. It analyzes the human rights implications of the bans and their effect on the lives of Muslim women teachers, including those who have been employed for many years. It says that the bans have caused some women to give up their careers or to leave Germany, where they have lived all their lives.

    “These laws in Germany clearly target the headscarf, forcing women who wear it to choose between their jobs and their religious beliefs,” said Haleh Chahrokh, researcher in the Europe and Central Asia division at Human Rights Watch. “They discriminate on the grounds of both gender and religion and violate these women’s human rights.”

    Half of Germany’s 16 states (Länder) – Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Bremen, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Saarland – have  laws prohibiting public school teachers (and other civil servants in several states) from wearing the headscarf at work. The laws were all introduced in the last five years, following a 2003 Constitutional Court ruling that restrictions on religious dress are only permissible if explicitly laid down in law. The other eight German states have no such restrictions.

    * Silent in the Face of Anti-Semitism

    On Harry’s Place, Dave Rich makes some good points about the now common analogy that is drawn between Israel and the Nazis, or Gaza and the Warsaw Ghetto, as used by such Israel-haters as George Galloway, Jenny Tonge, the British Muslim Initiative and others. Its import, as he says, lies in far more than its mere offensiveness and demonstrable barmyness. It is used for very specific political purposes. Since Nazism is totally beyond the pale – and since the Israel-haters believe, falsely, that Israel’s legitimacy rests upon the Holocaust – tarring it as a Nazi state delegitimises it and thus advances the agenda of its destruction.

    But Rich points out a further consequence of demonising Israel in this way:

    If Israel is a Nazi state, then anybody who does not oppose Israel is morally no better than a Nazi. There is only one place this train of thought can end: with the demonisation and social isolation of the vast majority of ordinary British Jews.
