The Battle for France

What caused the riots? Karim Boudouda was an authentic bad guy, no doubt about it. He’d piled up a stack of convictions for armed robbery in his 27 years, and when he held up a casino in the little French town of Uriage-les-Bains last month, he was armed to the teeth with an Uzi submachine gun and a Swiss-made assault rifle. Fleeing the police, the Algerian-born French citizen headed for his home turf in a dilapidated housing project filled with immigrants on the outskirts of Grenoble. In the shootout that followed, Boudouda died with a bullet in his head. For three nights the neighborhood where he’d taken shelter erupted in the kind of violence that swept outer-city slums throughout France in 2005. Dozens of cars went up in flames as young thugs taunted the cops, who poured in by the hundreds. Somebody fired live rounds at the police, which is rare in a French riot, but nobody else died. In what may be the last chance to halt France’s slide into anarchy as well as an indication of how endangered the French social order is, the country’s center-right ruling party, the Union pour un Mouvement Populaire (Union for a Popular Movement (UMP)), is set to introduce two constitutional amendmentsinto the National Assembly next month to deal with the country’s deterioratingsocial situation. Both concern cancelling French citizenship for convicted criminals. France’s immigration minister, Eric Besson, the person responsible for drafting the amendments, said revoking French citizenship is not anti-constitutional and therefore will receive clearance from France’s constitutional council. The forfeiture of French nationality, Besson says, currently exists in France, but only for convictions for serious offences like terrorism and espionage. Before 1998, however, it was allowed under common law “for a certain number of crimes.” “It is relatively simple,” said Besson. “It suffices to return to the law that prevailed until 1998. Qaeda’s north Africa wing calls Sarkozy ‘enemy of Allah,’ wants revenge against France

DUBAI (AFP) – Al-Qaeda’s north Africa branch called for revenge against France and labelled its President Nicolas Sarkozy an “enemy of Allah” over a deadly raid last month, in an online message seen by AFP on Monday. On August 2, jailed AQIM leader El Khadim Ould Semane also threatened France and Mauritania with retaliation. “I say to the infidels and French Crusaders… (we) will not rest until French blood has been spilled,” Semane had said. Independent Islamic scholar Abdulwahab al-Salhi said the “indecent lot of ‘Tash Ma Tash’ … used drama to destroy Muslims’ stable religious principles by portraying Christians as believers and not apostates.”

The insistence on creating such a building on such a place sends a dishonest, disturbing message: that Islam itself bears no special connection to the attacks of 9/11, and that the Mosque’s planners feel no shame over their co-religionists who planned and executed those crimes.

There’s only one other possible interpretation of the stubborn refusal to relocate the project, and it’s even more alarming: that in some way, the mosque builders aren’t ashamed at what occurred at Ground Zero, they are actually proud of it.

Police in India have arrested Islamic cleric Abdul Nasser Madani in connection with blasts that hit the city of Bangalore in mid-2008.

Abdul Nasser Madani was arrested at his home in the state of Kerala.

He accuses the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Karnataka, whose capital is Bangalore, of “framing” him.

One woman was killed and several others injured in July 2008 when seven bombs hit crowded areas of the city, which is India’s information technology hub.   ( BBC)

Despite the title of the article, which implies a more reciprocal level of activity, the “pushing back” occurring here is but a demonstration held on Sunday, and the ongoing, determined defiance of religious minorities whose only “provocation” is to go on living their lives according to their constitutional rights.

It is not so much pushing back as standing one’s rightful ground. On July 11, 2010 it was reported that Yemeni-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki had put Molly Norris on a hitlist. In an English-language Al Qaeda magazine named “Inspire,” Al-Awlaki wrote “The medicine prescribed by the Messenger of Allah is the execution of those involved.” and was quoted as saying “The large number of participants makes it easier for us because there are more targets to choose from in addition to the difficulty of the government offering all of them special protection,”. But even then our campaign should not be limited to only those who are active participants.” FBI officials have reportedly notified Norris warning her they consider it a “very serious threat.”

Obama gave a little lecture on the 1st Amendment and Islam at the Iftar dinner. “His Excellency Abdulwahab A. Al Hajjri, Ambassador of the Republic Yemen”was present.

Yet Obama did not address the campaign of intimidation and terror against individuals in the West who exercise their free speech in contravention of Sharia.

He did not warn the Yemeni ambassador that Yemeni interference with American’s right and freedoms will not be tolerated.

By that omission it has become very clear that the US government does not intend to seriously protect 1st Amendment rights. Obama did not defend constitutional principles, he defended Islam and Sharia.

One foreign criminal is escaping deportation nearly every day by using human rights laws, shocking figures reveal.

UK Border Agency statistics showed 350 offenders, including a double murderer, were allowed to stay in the UK last year on human rights grounds instead of being sent home. In many cases, dangerous offenders were granted the right to stay despite the courts accepting that they pose a risk to the public.

Among those to have taken advantage of the Human Rights Act to stay here are killers, rapists, serial burglars and drug dealers. (Not to mention the soldiers of Allah, can’t paint all Muslims with one brush,  its only a tiny minority of extremists…..) Critics said the figures should prompt a further examination of how human rights laws are being used. (Daily Mail)

Over the past decade, police found again and again that Muslims in al-Quds mosque were being fed a steady diet of militant Islam. The mosque still hosted a steady parade of radical speakers and recruiters. But nothing was done, as the police preferred to keep the mosque open in order to observe the radicals.

Al-Quds, the Hamburg mosque that hosted several of the 9/11 attackers, has been closed down. The only question now is: Why on Earth did it take 10 years?

You couldn’t exactly say that they were impolite. They solemnly handed new visitors a Koran in German translation. They smiled. They didn’t even mind being called Islamists. One of them took a dictionary down from the shelf and pointed with his finger at the definition of “Islamist”: Someone who studies Islam as a scholar. Which, of course, is not inaccurate.

They studied the Koran attentively and thoroughly at the Taiba mosque in Hamburg, just a few hundred meters from the city’s main train station. Police shut down the mosque last week. The Hamburg official in charge of interior affairs said it had become a center of radicalization and a meeting point for jihadists. The main door is now sealed shut.

After the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the Hamburg mosque became known worldwide as the Al-Quds Mosque. Three of the 9/11 hijackers had frequently attended prayers there: Mohammed Atta, Ziad Jarrah and Marwan al-Shehhi. The building on Steindamm Street remained under surveillance for the next nine years. It was probably the most closely observed building in the city.

Hamburg police raided the Taiba Mosque in Hamburg last Monday and shut it down. Three of the 9/11 hijackers had found a spiritual home in the mosque prior to 2001. Since then, the mosque is suspected of having bred further extremists.

It isn’t quite clear why Christoph Ahlhaus, the interior minister of the city-state of Hamburg, decided to close the mosque at this particular time. The reasons he gave are not new. Besides, the organization that operated the mosque was having financial problems and it was quite possible that the Islamists would have vacated the building on their own before long.

American Muslims are debating key questions of loyalty to America, a debate in which the stakes could not be higher. Alarmingly, “no fewer than four United States citizens and a permanent U.S. resident have risen to senior leadership posts within al-Qaeda,” according to an Investors Business Daily editorial by Paul Sperry. Thus, “five English-speaking leaders are actively planning or facilitating attacks against their countrymen, while recruiting and radicalizing other American turncoats to carry them out.”

The implications of this are frightening.  No longer is America at war with a foreign enemy. The enemy is here — an enemy who understands how “America works, having lived here for decades.” Thus, fellow Americans are recruited by the enemy. These traitors are “fed by a native Muslim population once believed [to be] … nonthreatening.” Is this an aberration, or does Islam condone and promote this disloyalty?
