14-Year-Old Norwegian Kills Herself after Brutal Gang-Rape...(Tundra Tabloids)

A 14-year-old girl in Trondheim took his own life after being assaulted and raped by three teenage boys. Only four weeks after she reported the rape at Kristiansten fortress, ninth grader could not bear to live any longer.

The girl’s mother believes the group rape is the direct cause of why her daughter chose to take her life two weeks ago:

– This shows how brutal consequences of such a serious crime can get, “said her mother through her daughter’s counsel, Sigrun Dybvad.

Her mother has consented to the Adresseavisen’s mentioning the tragic incident, and she has provided information to the case. The incident has shaken many in Trondheim. Address newspaper has in recent days received emails and phone calls from desperate and upset parents. Over 1300 people have joined in a memorial group for 14-year-old online community Facebook. Tuesday this week met with 245 people up to say goodbye when she was buried in the Lutheran Free Church.

Police in Trondheim is worried after five unsolved assault rapes or attempted on the same page 1 April. In three of the five cases , several perpetrators, all of which are described as African or Middle Eastern men. Police believe that the rapes have been planned in advance.

Quetta, 14 June (AKI/Dawn) – At least eight doctors were injured when police opened fire on their procession in Quetta in central Pakistan on Tuesday, DawnNews reported.

The doctors in Balochistan province have been on strike for the past couple of weeks to press the government to accept their demands.  They want their salary and perks to be at par with those of doctors in the other provinces.

Why should the foreign minister help his own government?

FOREIGN Minister Kevin Rudd has rejected a request from former Papua New Guinea prime minister Rabbie Namaliu that he to fly to Port Moresby to rescue the Gillard government’s floundering asylum seeker deal.

A spokesman for the Foreign Minister said: “Mr Rudd has no plans to travel to PNG at the near future. The PNG leadership is currently focused on issues other than the proposal for a regional processing centre.”

See, the worse it gets for Gillard, the better for KRudd.

FEARS are escalating that the Gillard government’s ban on live cattle exports to Indonesia will damage the country’s entire beef industry, with southern Australian farmers already reporting a drop in prices.

Domestic cattle producers are worried the 11,000 livestock stranded by the ban will flood the local market in coming months and cause a glut for all beef products. The Victorian Farmers Federation says prices for beef have already dropped by 10c a kilogram – or 5 per cent – in anticipation of this occurring, and stock agents have reported slow sales and a softening in consumer demand.

The growing concerns come as the Gillard government continues to seek a solution to the trade impasse sparked by television images of brutal treatment of cattle in Indonesia.
