Belgium’s Ambassador to Australia says it is “dangerous” for Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to link the European refugee crisis with this week’s deadly attacks in Brussels.

“Dangerous?” For whom? For him? For Belgium? For Muslim migrants?

Here it comes:

“It’s dangerous because it’s precisely what (Islamic State) wants – that we would make a confusion between terrorism and migrants and between terrorism and Islam,” Mr Bodson told the ABC on Thursday.
“My view is that the terrorists who committed the latest attacks in Paris and in Belgium are European-raised and born. Maybe from foreign origins, but they are Europeans,  he said.
“So it has nothing to do with the refugee crisis and I think that is the main danger to assimilate that.”

“Arabic was shouted”

A British traveller has described the moment two explosions rocked Brussels airportamid fears of a targeted terror attack.

Journalist Alex Rossi had just checked his bags and was at a departure gate when the blasts occurred.

The Sky News Middle East correspondent told the news channel he believed he was “fairly close” to the explosions but he could not be sure.

He also added that there were fears of other attackers still loose in the building.

Mr Rossi, who was at the airport en route for Tel Aviv, told the channel: “I could feel the buildings move.”

The incident came as the Belgian capital was on a state of high alert following the arrest of Paris terror attack suspect Salah Abdeslam in the city last week.

According to reports the incident centred on an American Airlines desk in a departure hall.

Belgian media were reporting several casualties.

Mr Rossi told Sky News people were “dazed and shocked”.

“The word is definitely two explosions.

“The thinking here by everybody is that it is some kind of terrorist attack although that hasn’t been verified by anyone here at the airport.

“No word too of casualties. Don’t know how the explosion took place, the method if you like. But it certainly seems Brussels airport has been targeted in a terrorist attack.

“We are all being moved out of the airport now towards the emergency exit. There is a great deal of confusion here. Certainly there are a number of very upset, as you might imagine, very frightened people.”

He added: “There are fears that there might be other attackers.”

Mr Rossi told Sky News as he was being ushered out of the airport along with other passengers: “We felt the walls of the building rock. Dust came down from the ceiling.

“I think it was a very big explosion – hardly surprising the windows are blown out.

“I would expect if there were people around when those explosions happened – we heard two explosions – there will be a number of casualties.”

If there is a historical weapon more powerful and decisive than guns, it is certainly guilt. The Immigration Act of 1924 explicitly banned all Arabs from entry to the USA. The ban wasn’t lifted until the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965—the single law that has proved to be the demographic death knell for Americans of European ancestry.

Lawdy, lawdy was there an eruption of sanctimonious gasping and self-righteous snorting and pearl-clutching and face-fanning and catching the vapors last week when Donald Trump proposed a temporary ban of all Muslim immigration to the United States. The highly visible public displays of chest-thumping moral outrage were far more intense and pervasive than anything I witnessed the week before, when a husband-and-wife team of radical Islamists in California went on a shooting rampage that ended up with 14 American bodies being planted in the ground.

Any era in which mere words are considered worse than murder is a dangerous era indeed. The problem seems to be that far too many people are sensing danger in all the wrong places.

The obvious reason why public displays of moral outrage are more about social signaling than they are about morality is the simple fact that most people are far more social than they are ethical.

“Banishing all members of a religion from the country? Why, that’s what HITLER did!” they screeched loudly enough so that everyone within earshot would realize that they are good people.
