The organization Wikileaks is claiming that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry personally pressured the government of Ecuador to cut its founder Julian Assange’s internet access, preventing further publication of private emails from the account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
On Tuesday, the Wikileaks Twitter account accused Kerry of using his position as head of the State Department to demand that the leftist South American government disconnect Assange’s internet access. Assange has lived in the Ecuadorian embassy in London for the past four years. If true, Kerry’s authority to make such a request would be dubious, as the hacked emails in question are not government correspondence, but private emails by partisan political campaign officials.
According to Wikileaks, Kerry met with “Ecuador” – potentially President Rafael Correa – in September and requested they shut down Assange’s operation out of their embassy.
The Australian Race Discrimination Commissioner is now claiming that the Human Rights Commission’s legal action against Bill Leak is merely “a matter of public debate”:

Interrogating the commissioner at a Senate estimates hearing in Canberra, Liberal senator David Fawcett suggested Leak’s depiction of an Aboriginal policeman “clearly sober, in authority, taking a very reasonable action” was in fact a “very positive portrayal”.
Dr Soutphommasane answered: “Cartoons will be subject to all matter of public debate. It’s a healthy part of our democracy that we have that debate.”
Sure, Dr Tim. All public debates involve demands for explanation, warring legal teams and potential Federal Court appearances. As it happens, Mark Steyn only a few hours earlier anticipated – and demolished – exactly this line of argument:
Mr Leak’s opponents are not attempting to engage him in debate; they’re attempting to close down the debate. And there’s no point getting in a debate with someone whose only argument is “Shut up – or else.”
In that sense, the Australian “human rights” regime and the Charlie Hebdo killers are merely different points on the same continuum: They’re both in the shut-up business, and they shut you up pour encourager les autres. They know that, for every cartoonist they silence, a thousand more will never peep up in the first place.
So this isn’t a debate about aboriginal policy or Islamic imperialism or anything else. It’s a debate about whether we’re free to debate. I take the view that the Australian state, like the Canadian state, should not be in the shut-up business. And, when they are, it’s they who are the issue, not you. When it’s a contest between a book or cartoon, on the one hand, and, on the other, a guy who says, “You can’t say that!”, it’s the latter who’s on trial. If you’re on the side that’s saying “Shut up!”, you’re on the wrong side.
Also on the wrong side are journalists who won’t speak up – which, by the way, is most of them:

Freethinker Bill Leak is a victim of prejudice so entrenched in our legal and political system it is sparking anti-establishment revolt across the West. It is the conversion of the human rights movement into a bigot rights industry.
And it costs us $25 million every year.

Migrant ‘children’ arriving in Britain from Calais to critics claiming they look ‘old enough to be adults’ may appear older ‘because war has toughened them up’, the Home Office claims.
The second wave of ‘child’ migrants from the Jungle Camp arrived in Britain at lunchtime today with 300 more set to follow in their footsteps in the coming week.
Refugees, who the Government claims are aged 14 to 17, arrived at the UK Visas and Immigration office in Croydon, south London, by coach as part of a fast-track system to move youngsters from the French migrant camp before it is demolished.
Some waved to the waiting cameras as they stepped off the packed bus before being escorted into the main building by UK border enforcement officers.
The youngsters, from war-torn countries including Syria and Sudan, join the 14 that arrived at the immigration centre yesterday.
They are entitled to move to the UK under EU asylum law due to their family ties to those already in the UK – and 300 more are expected to arrive in the coming days.
It comes as critics claim some of the ‘children’ arriving look older than their teenage years, and warned that some adults may be posing as children to abuse the scheme.

After photographs of the refugees arriving were published, Conservative MP David Davies wrote on Twitter: ‘These don’t look like ‘children’ to me. I hope British hospitality is not being abused.’
Meanwhile, Iain McGregor wrote: ‘Does the British Foreign Office think we are stupid? I was expecting kids under the age of 16, not over the age of 21.’
Another added: ‘When I read child migrants I thought it was youngsters. These are young men!!’. And David Moore said: ‘Lie about your age and you get a ride into the land of milk and honey. Don’t think they will be asked for ID at the pub.’
A leading member of Angela Merkel’s party warned Facebook that hate speech laws may be applied if it doesn’t meet German guidelines for its content. Volker Kauder of the CDU was expressing his government’s frustration at the racist and xenophobic material that is still available to Germans on social media.

Social media giants like Facebook should face penalties if they fail to tackle hate speech, after a surge in xenophobic comments linked to the migrant influx.
Germany: Green MP says “Germans should learn Arabic”
Worried Germans who are struggling to come to terms with the volume of immigrants arriving in their country should learn Arabic so they can communicate with the refugees, claims outspoken Green Party politician Volker Beck.
Beck also said that “people should not fear neighbourhoods where the vast majority of inhabitants do not speak the native language”. Germany has been rocked by migrant crime, sex assaults on women and children at pools, and “a wave of terror” this summer, which prompted the BBC to ask in a report: “What is going on?” But reckless Beck says that people should not fear.
Beck couldn’t handle the backlash after his remarks, however, so he furiously made efforts to backtrack, charging that his words were twisted.

Can the West save itself? Or will it decline and collapse, like all the great civilizations of the past? There are many components of civilizational decline, but one of the most important is demography, involving a plummeting birthrate and a large scale invasion of legal and illegal immigrants, as I pointed out in an earlier Quadrant article, “How Civilisations Die”. This is complemented by another component, which involves the collapse of the culture that sustains the civilization, usually involving the treason of the intellectual and political elites. These become cultural quislings, turning their backs on the very culture that sustains them in their privilege, proudly declaring themselves enemies of their own civilization, and working actively to undermine it, effectively handing over control to the aggressive invaders.
The paradigm for this intellectual treason was established by the Comintern nearly a century ago, in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, when Lenin decided that the new Soviet Union slave state would only survive if it was able to foment revolution in the West and could mobilize the intelligentsia to achieve this. The poisonous message these intellectuals were to carry, an ideological contagion, was enunciated vividly by the leading French communist ideologue, Louis Aragon, in 1925:
“We will destroy this civilization that you cherish … Western world, you are condemned to death … We will awaken everywhere the germs of confusion and malaise. We are the agitators of the mind … those who will always hold out our hands to the enemy.”
This treasonous, self-lacerating, and nihilistic worldview is now institutionalized throughout Western academia and it has an ideological stranglehold over political activism, as we see in Australia with the Green-Left. These academics and activists live in a parallel universe where the source of all evil in the world is their own society, in which they posture as reluctantly privileged rebels. Consequently, as Pascal Bruckner observes in The Tyranny of Guilt: An Essay on Western Masochism (2010), “nowadays all it takes to attack Europe is a bit of conformism” to the all-pervasive hatred of the West that constitutes the intellectual monoculture of our society.

Tony Abbott has declared that the use of section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act to stifle free speech is getting “out of hand’’ as criticism surrounding the lodging of a complaint about a provocative cartoon by Bill Leak mounted.
The former prime minister, who walked away in 2014 from a commitment to change 18C, said the problems with the provisions regarding “offence” and “insult” were now more apparent.
“It’s now much more obvious than it was two years back that section 18C is getting completely out of hand as a weapon to stifle free speech,” he told The Australian. “At the very least it should be amended to remove ‘offend’ and ‘insult’.”
Mr Abbott’s comments came as indigenous adviser Warren Mundine yesterday criticised a complaint against Leak and The Australian under section 18C…
“If the allegations are that (Leak) has incited racial hatred, I don’t support that at all,” Mr Mundine said. “…I think what he was saying — how I took it — was that a lot of people are ignoring or … avoiding the bleeding obvious in this space.”

The Australian Human Rights Commission is handling a complaint over the Leak illustration that depicted a drunken man neglectful of his son. Some people have chosen to take offence because the inebriated figure was depicted as indigenous. So too, however, was the sober authority figure of the cartoon, the police officer reprimanding the drunken father. Whether intentional or not, Leak’s illustration revealed a well-documented empirical truth: that some men are alcoholics, some alcoholics neglect their children and some alcoholic men who neglect their children are indigenous…

In the world of the bigot rights industry, however, feelings of offence have superseded empirical truth as the highest standard of Western jurisprudence.
The Racial Discrimination Act classifies acts that people feel offended about as unlawful if they choose to feel offended because of their race, colour, national or ethnic origin. Section 18C is anti-enlightenment revolution codified as law. It effects the erosion of truth, rationality and reason as the foundations of Western law by replacing them with ideology, feelings and a consequent culture of unreason.

The Times reported on Friday that Goddard, a New Zealand judge who was appointed in February 2015 as the third person to head the troubled independent inquiry into child sexual abuse, was allegedly warned by officials about offensive remarks, including a claim that she had said high rates of child abuse in the UK were “because it has so many Asian men”.
In a statement issued on Friday, Goddard said the accusations were false and malicious. She said she had, through lawyers in London, informed the Times of “the falsity of the matters raised, and the malicious background to them”.
She added: “I await the advice of my London lawyers on these articles, which I have only just seen. I confirm my absolute rejection of this attack. I am confident that in New Zealand my known reputation from my work over many years will provide its own refutation of these falsities.
“I will be making no further statement and will not engage with those conducting this vicious campaign.”
Following her resignation in August, Goddard refused requests to go before the House of Commons home affairs select committee to explain why she stepped down.
The Labour MP Chuka Umunna,(another Mohammedan with Nigerian roots who sails under false flag) who is campaigning to be chair of the committee, tweeted that the allegations against Goddard renewed MPs’ desire to quiz her.
