Accuses group of seeking ‘harm to those who speak against violent agenda’

A good attack is the best defense against the Religion of Peace.

Trend-setting radio talk show host Michael Savage has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the Council on Islamic-American Relations, and has accused the organization of being a “political vehicle of international terrorism” that seeks to do “material harm to those voices who speak against the violent agenda of CAIR’s clients.”

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in California, seeks damages equal to the ongoing donations from CAIR supporters “who expect CAIR to act in this manner in exchange for continuing financial support” as well as “actual damages according to proof.”

A spokesman for Savage indicated the top-rated talk show host would have no further comment, saying the text of the lawsuit itself would answer questions.

The focal point of the lawsuit is a series of audio clips CAIR has been using in its promotions and fundraising efforts.

Those comments from Savage’s show include his criticisms of Islam and Muslims, including:

“I’m not gonna put my wife in a hijab. And I’m not gonna put my daughter in a burqa. And I’m not getting’ on my all-fours and braying to Mecca. And you could drop dead if you don’t like it. You can shove it up your pipe. I don’t wanna hear any more about Islam. I don’t wanna hear one more word about Islam. Take your religion and shove it up your behind. I’m sick of you.”

But the lawsuit maintains such comments, taken in context, are Savage’s verbal expression of the feelings of many Americans.

Another statement targeted by CAIR, and subject of the lawsuit, was:

“What sane nation that worships the U.S. Constitution, which is the greatest document of freedom ever written, would bring in people who worship a book that tells them the exact opposite? Make no mistake about it, the Quran is not a document of freedom. The Quran is a document of slavery and chattel. It teaches you that you are a slave.”

CAIR, however “expropriated” Savage’s comments, including those from the Oct. 29, 2007, show and used them “for fund-raising purposes” and “in a manner designed to cause harm to the value of the copyright material in the long and short term,” the lawsuit said.

“Michael Savage’s right to speech is protected by both the First Amendment and in Savage’s view is also biblically required. “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:7-8). It is essence of freedom that voices can be raised strongly and without fear of illegal retaliation,” the claim continued.

“CAIR attempted to silence Michael Savage by stealing his work, misrepresenting it and then seeking to have advertisers drop his show. This is a violation of Michael Savage’s rights to speech and to his religious beliefs,” the action said.And the action noted the FBI has concluded the IAP is “a Hamas front … (that is) controlled by Hamas, it brings Hamas leaders to the U.S., it does propaganda for Hamas.”

The action seeks a jury trial, plus “general and special damages” for the actions that were “wanton, willful and malicious.”

NEW DELHI – Hardline Indian Muslim groups said they would meet on Sunday to decide whether to keep up demands for the expulsion of Bangladesh author Taslima Nasreen, hounded into hiding by protests against her.

The Milli Ittehad Parishad, an umbrella alliance of 12 Muslim groups, on Saturday announced the meeting, a day after Nasreen promised to remove passages from her autobiography that some Muslims found offensive.

“The Milli Ittehad Parishad has called a meeting to take a unanimous stand on Taslima Nasreen,” Siddikulla Chowdhury, general secretary of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, one of the member organisations, told AFP.

The dozen groups have been demanding her deportation from India for “hurting the religious sentiment of Muslims in India.”

* Muslims have a long tradition of ‘hurting the religious sentiments’ of all other religious groups in India by bombing their religious festivals and a history of jihad with more than 100 million skeletons in the closet. India would be well advised to tell the Muslims to shove it. But they won’t.

Nasreen, who has lived in Kolkata since 2004, said on Friday she hoped the move to take out the controversial passages from her autobiography “Dikhandito” or “Split into Two” would enable her to to live peacefully in India.

The federal government has pledged to protect Nasreen and moved her to a safe house outside New Delhi last weekend after thousands of Muslims rioted in her adopted home city, demanding her ejection from India.

But the government warned her not to make any statements that might “hurt the sentiments of our people” — a reference to India’s 140-million-plus Muslims.

Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear “Muhammad.”
In response to the demonstration, teacher Gillian Gibbons was moved from the women’s prison near Khartoum to a secret location for her safety, her lawyer said.

The protesters streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons, as pickup trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Gibbons, who was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in prison and deportation. She avoided the more serious punishment of 40 lashes.

They massed in central Martyrs Square outside the presidential palace, where hundreds of riot police were deployed. They did not try to stop the rally, which lasted about an hour.

“Shame, shame on the U.K.,” protesters chanted.

The protesters called for Gibbons’ execution, saying, “No tolerance: Execution,” and “Kill her, kill her by firing squad.”

A Muslim cleric at Khartoum’s main Martyrs Mosque denounced Gibbons during one sermon, saying she intentionally insulted Islam. He did not call for protests, however.

“Imprisoning this lady does not satisfy the thirst of Muslims in Sudan. But we welcome imprisonment and expulsion,” the cleric, Abdul-Jalil Nazeer al-Karouri, a well-known hard-liner, told worshippers.

“This an arrogant woman who came to our country, cashing her salary in dollars, teaching our children hatred of our Prophet Muhammad,” he said.

In a book published this week, Staff says that those who commit honor murder in Norway should get a reduction in sentence. If two people are sentenced for murder that according to the law should be punished in the same manner, Tor Erling Staff thinks that the person who can show that he killed his wife on ground of honor, should get a lighter sentence.

Staff says that if a murderer should get 17 years in prison, a man who murdered his wife on the grounds of his family’s honor should get two years reduction.

“In Islam we normally throw stones at them,” said al-Anshori. The MMI is a Muslim umbrella organisation whose member groups promotes sharia law in Indonesia.

‘Moderate Turkey’: Imam pins hate verse from the Koran on the door of his mosque

ANKARA, NOVEMBER 29 – The decision of an imam in Istanbul to pin on the door of his mosque a verse from the Koran prohibiting friendship with Jews and Christians has sparked a broad theological and political debate and sizeable controversy in Turkish newspapers. The verse from the Koran placed in past days at the entrance of the Zeynep Sultan mosque in Istanbul is line 51 of Sura 5, The Feast, which says: “O you, who believe, do not take certain Jews and Christians as allies; these are allies of one another. Those among you who ally themselves with these belong with them.” The placing of the verse also caused polemics because of its implications to the Turkish foreign policy orientated to EU membership and strategic alliance with the USA and Israel. Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reported Thursday that Krekar, the former head of Islamic guerrilla group Ansar al Islam, told a Kurdish web site that he’s sure the Norwegian authorities will never deport him, because that would spark “reaction” against Norway from his Islamic supporters.

Krekar told web site Awane that the “reaction” would come from his relatives, from an armed group, and also from those who follow his religious teachings and sympathize with him.

The groups, he said, “probably are from Somalia or Morocco.” He refused to specify what type of “reaction” he expected.

Krekar’s remarks are being widely interpreted as new threats against Norway, and that, predictably enough, has sparked more anger among Norwegians who can’t understand why Krekar remains in the country.

The official version is that Krekar faces a death sentence if sent back to his native Iraq. Norway won’t deport anyone if their lives would officially be in danger, and no other country has volunteered to take over responsibility for Krekar.

Hamas demands UN rescind ’47 partition

Hamas on Thursday called on the UN to rescind the 1947 decision to partition Palestine into two states, one for Jews and one for Arabs.

The group said in a statement, released on the 60th anniversary of the UN vote, that “Palestine is Arab Islamic land, from the river to the sea, including Jerusalem… there is no room in it for the Jews.”

(CNN) — An audio recording attributed to Osama bin Laden called on Europeans to abandon Afghanistan and accused NATO troops of killing women and children there.

In Thursday’s message, the speaker claims sole responsibility for the September 11, 2001, attacks and accuses America’s NATO allies of killing civilians in Afghanistan, where the country’s Taliban rulers allowed al Qaeda to operate prior to 9/11.

Projection. Its the Muhammedans who use women and children as human shields.

The previous message from bin Laden included no dated references, making it impossible to determine when it was taped based on its contents. In the message, bin Laden called on his followers to be loyal to the Islamic nation, not to individual leaders, groups, tribes or countries.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands: — A Dutch conservative lawmaker said Wednesday he is making a film to highlight what he describes as “fascist” passages in the Koran, his latest high profile criticism of Islam.

The interior and justice ministers said they were concerned, but believed they had no authority to prevent the lawmaker, Geert Wilders, from screening his film.

Wilders plans to depict parts of the Koran he says are used as inspiration “by bad people to do bad things.”

Less than 10 minutes long, the film is expected to air in late January. It will show “the intolerant and fascist character of the Koran,” said Wilders, whose anti-Islam campaign helped his Freedom Party win nine seats in parliament in last year’s election.

In the past, Wilders has said that half the Koran should be torn up and compared it with Adolf Hitler’s book “Mein Kampf.” He has claimed the Netherlands is being swamped by a “tsunami” of Islamic immigrants.

Immigrants from Muslim countries number about 1 million of the country’s 16 million people.

An interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Last Tuesday at nightfall, as the servants of democracy fled SW1, a young Somali woman stood spotlit on a stage in Westminster. Behind her was the illuminated logo for the Centre for Social Cohesion: a white hand reaching down across England to help a brown one up; in front, an audience of some of Britain’s biggest brains — politicians, editors, academics. She drew her shawl a little closer round her shoulders, looked up and said: ‘We are not at war with “terror”, that would make no sense.’

‘Hear, hear,’ said a voice at the back. ‘Terror is just a tactic used by Islam,’ she continued. ‘We are actually at war, not just with Islamism, but with Islam itself.’

Out in the dark began a great wobbling of heads. Neocons nodded, Muslims shook their heads; others, uncertain, waggled theirs anxiously from side to side: at war with all Islam, even here in the UK? What does that mean?

It would be easier in some ways to ignore Ayaan Hirsi Ali, to label her as bonkers — but it would also be irresponsible. She’s not just another hawkish hack, anxious to occupy the top tough-guy media slot — she has the authority of experience, the authenticity of suffering.

In the spring of 2004 she wrote a film called Submission (an artsy 11-minute protest against Islamic cruelty to women) which was shown on Dutch TV. In November 2004 the film’s director, Theo van Gogh, was assassinated and the killer left a long letter to Hirsi Ali knifed into his corpse which said, in short: you’re next. But Hirsi Ali couldn’t be silenced. She has since written an autobiography (Infidel) about growing up a Muslim (in Somalia, then Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia), describing her circumcision, the beatings she received, her arranged marriage, her flight to Holland. She risks her life daily, speaking out against what she calls the ‘fairytale’ that Islam is in essence a religion of peace.

The other reason to take her seriously is that Hirsi Ali’s ideas about Islam (that it is unamenable to reform, and intrinsically opposed to Western values) are attracting attention worldwide.

In Holland where, until 2006, she was an MP for the People’s Party for Freedom and Independence (VVD), the famous ‘pillarisation’ approach to immigration — where each new culture becomes a pillar upon which the state rests — has given way to a ‘new realism’, much more in tune with Hirsi Ali’s way of thinking, and in part because of her. In Britain and in America, Ayaan Hirsi Ali has become a sort of popstar for neocons, and she now lives in Washington, and works as a fellow of the American Enterprise Institute.

But is she right? And what does ‘war with Islam’ mean? I went to find out; to meet Ayaan Hirsi Ali in the House of Lords on a bitter and blustery afternoon last week, bustling past the police, down the corridors of partial power, to the visitors’ room where she was waiting. We haven’t got much time, so can we dive straight into Islam? I ask. ‘Yes, absolutely, go ahead,’ she smiles. Up close she is disconcertingly beautiful, and fragile-looking. OK then, right. Well, you say that Islam is a violent religion, because the Prophet advocated violence. But isn’t that open to interpretation? I ask. Karen Armstrong, (a non-Muslim biographer of Mohammed) has said the Prophet was a loving man who’d have been horrified at 9/11.

‘Karen Armstrong is ridiculous,’ says Hirsi Ali in her quick, light voice — Africa still audible in the clipped consonants. ‘The Prophet would have not have disapproved of 9/11, because it was carried out in his example. When he came to Medina, the Prophet had a revelation, of jihad. After that, it became an obligation for Muslims to convert others, and to establish an Islamic state, by the sword if necessary.’

But there is such a thing as moderate Islam, I say. Muslims aren’t all terrorists. There are some like Ed Husain (author of The Islamist) who argue that there are many peaceful traditions of Koranic scholarship to choose from. Isn’t it a mistake to dismiss this gentler, acceptable branch of Islam?

‘I find the word “moderate” very misleading.’ There’s a touch of steel in Hirsi Ali’s voice. ‘I don’t believe there is such a thing as “moderate Islam”. I think it’s better to talk about degrees of belief and degrees of practice. The Koran is quite clear that it should control every area of life. If a Muslim chooses to obey only some of the Prophet’s commandments, he is only a partial Muslim. If he is a good Muslim, he will wish to establish Sharia law.’

Does she understand that the checkpoints exist not “because they are Palestinian,” but because they approve of and abet murderous jihadism?

But, she added, as a black child in the South, being told she could not use certain water fountains or eat in certain restaurants, she also understood the feelings and emotions of the Palestinians.

“I know what it is like to hear to that you cannot go on a road or through a checkpoint because you are Palestinian,” she said. “I understand the feeling of humiliation and powerlessness.”

“There is pain on both sides,” Rice concluded. “This has gone on too long.”

Condi Rice is a quintessence of leftism. She’s a patently lame scholar (and yes, I’ve read her essays) whose theories border on scam. In her essay on nuclear weapons, she repeatedly cites the Soviet WWII encyclopedia in fifty-something volumes, which even the native Russian speakers find impossible to read through; she obviously relies on secondary sources without citing them. Rice succeeded through the affirmative action, a semi-official quota for Black professors of lamentable credentials.

Rice alone is responsible for the US standoff with Russia. The purported “expert” on Russia’s military, Rice has not a clue about Russian politics or mentality. She engineered the entirely unnecessary conflicts on the Russian periphery, notably the putsches in Ukraine and Georgia. What has America to do with an ex-Soviet republic of Georgia, a Christian kingdom for centuries in the Russian sphere of influence whose population absolutely depends on Russia for everything? Xenophobic Russians were predictably agitated to the point of withdrawing from the major military treaties, resuming the effective nuclear alert, and patrolling the outskirts of Europe with strategic bombers. Appeasement is not a policy, but neither is provoking one’s enemy a containment.

Saudi rape victim attacked by shamed brother

A Saudi woman sentenced to 200 lashes after she was gang-raped claims her brother tried to kill her when he learned of the attack.

The woman, known only as Qatif Girl after the area where the crime occurred, also described how she tried to commit suicide after the assault. The interview was recorded by Human Rights Watch in December 2006 and released recently.

“Everyone looks at me as if I’m wrong. I couldn’t even continue my studies. I wanted to die. I tried to commit suicide twice,” the woman said of the aftermath of the attack in which she was raped at knifepoint by seven men as a former boyfriend was driving her home.

Muslims do. Because any ‘devout’ Muslim who follows the Koran and the hadith wants you and me (the infidel, the Jew, Hindu or Mormon) dead, enslaved or forcibly converted. For Jamima, who was born a Jew, it is deplorable, shallow & shameful that she never looked into the Muhammedan scriptures.

Jamima should try again, perhaps as a second or third wife of one of the
Muhammedan clerics who teach their adherents how to beat women properly into submission.

It is proper to challenge Islam

I recently attended a debate entitled “Is Islam good for London?” Despite its billing as the most important issue facing Londoners today, the “for London” in the title proved superfluous. It was the intellectual equivalent of reality TV: excruciating to watch but impossible to walk away from. At that kind of very confrontational debate, people turn up to support their own team. It’s more about who is wrong than who is right. Rarely does anyone leave with a changed view.

The spectacle kicked off with an assertion by the journalist Rod Liddle that “the pernicious, bigoted, misogynistic, totalitarian, fascistic ideology of Islam must be rejected”.

There was a spirited defence of Islam by Ed Husain, reformed extremist and author of The Islamist. He argued that Islamism and Islam are distinct: Islamism is a political ideology, which proposes a profoundly conservative religious vision for state and society which in its attitudes to apostasy, women, homosexuality and free speech is generally anathema to Western liberal convictions (including, emphatically, his and, for the record, mine). The social conservatism and separatist mindset of Muslims in the West, he argued, must be challenged.

He was let down by his teammate Inayat Bunglawala (bungle by name…) of the Muslim Council of Britain, who went down in the first round to the braying of the audience.

Those arguing in favour of the Liddle point of view prefaced their arguments with the usual spiel about it being an attack on the ideology and not the people, but it all got horribly personal. When a female member of the audience asked a question about Palestine, a man behind me shouted “Nazi!” For the faint-hearted it was almost too bloody to watch.

It wasn’t just me who found the title, tone and content of the debate disturbing. The liberal rabbi, Pete Tobias, described it as a “damaging and hurtful exercise”, sinisterly reminiscent of the campaign a century ago to alert the population to “the Problem of the Alien” – namely the Eastern Jews fleeing persecution who had found refuge in the capital.

My view is that it was symptomatic of a much wider and deeper hostility to Islam and, contrary to the claims of the panellists, to Muslims too.

Martin Amis recently said it was the ideology of Islam and not Muslims he had a problem with, but added: “They are gaining on us demographically at a huge rate. A quarter of humanity now and by 2025 they’ll be a third. We’re just going to be outnumbered.” It’s clear when he talks of the dangers of being outnumbered and outbred, that Amis is not talking about the ideology or even militant Islamists, but about ordinary Muslims.

“We will outbreed you with the bellies of our women”

Terrorism is simply not bad enough: The enormous cost involved with monitoring, the inconvenience of the security requirements, the physical insecurity because of the constant threat of terrorist attacks, hijackings, car-bus-train bombings and the ever increasing numbers of hijabs, burkhas, niqabs, jilbabs on our streets are only the beginning: Houari Boumédienne, Algeria’s undisputed ruler until his death in 1978, said it clearly In 1974:

Boumedienne said in a U.N. speech: “One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.”

To this very day the planned, systematic Muhammedan immigration, infiltration and invasion of infidel countries, the Dar-al-harb, (lands of the infidels) continues unchecked.

We keep treating the enemy like a friend. Why don’t we listen to them? Why don’t our politicians, our elected leaders start listening to us?

Here’s a comment from one who used to work in Saudi Arabia:

I lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for a couple of years. So, I have first hand experience of the Muslim mentality. There is no way their habit of thought is going to change. Not in a million years. The only way to deal with these guys is to insist on getting exactly the same as they ask for. That means that when they want to build a mosque in any British city, we demand the right to build a church in one of their cities in a Muslim country.

And when they insist that we say ‘peace be upon him’ when the name of their prophet is mentioned, we insist that they say ‘peace be upon him’ when they mention the name, Jesus. And so on.

At the basis of all fundamentalist attitudes is arrogance of unbelievable proportions; we’re right, you’re wrong.

The biggest mistake anyone can make is to nod thoughtfully when they dish out their apocalyptic nonsense and imply that we should consider their position as having the right to be heard.
