Belgium Launching Social Media Campaign Asking Illegal Migrants Not to Come

The Belgian authorities will attempt to dissuade illegal migrants from settling in their country with a social media campaign.

The West European country, divided between the Dutch-speaking Flemish and the French-speaking Walloons, has long struggled with poorly integrated migrant and migrant-descended populations, with the infamous Molenbeek no-go zone one of Europe’s major hubs for radical Islam.

The Immigration Department (DVZ) will run the social media campaign for a minimum of six months, according to POLITICO, and focus on the dangers associated with illegal migration and highlight “myths” spread by the criminal people-smugglers who facilitate it.

The scheme has been compared to a similar campaign in Germany, which has received a larger influx of illegal migrants than any other European country since Chancellor Angela Merkel threw open the doors in 2015, headlined ‘7 big lies of traffickers’. (Continued below the fold)

The infiltration of non-Muslim countries by Islam is one of the strategies Mohammed devised when creating his ideology. His initial approach was persuasion through infiltration and, if that failed, he then adopted a military strategy through conquest and total domination. This is still Islam’s approach today. The financing of universities by Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for gaining critical leverage and massive influence has been endemic in the United States but also other Western countries, including Australia. This enables these oppressive Islamic regimes to strategically insert academics who become prominent and thus extremely influential in corrupting the minds of gullible students.

There is no Centre for Western Civilisation in Australian universities. However, there are plenty of centres dedicated to the promotion of Islamic states and societies. Take a look for instance at the Centre for Muslim States and Societies at the University of Western Australia. Its director is Samina Yasmeen (BSc Punjab, MSc Quaid-i-Azam, MA ANU, PhD Tas), a self-described expert in ‘the role of Islam in world politics’. When the media reported violent protests in Sydney by radical Muslims attacking the police, she dared to create a moral equivalence between the violence of Muslims and the so-called ‘violence’ of YouTube videos that ‘inflame emotions across the Muslim world.’[1]These videos ‘violate the special place assigned to Prophet Mohammed. Any disrespect is felt as an intrusion into this sacred space’, she said.[2]

This Muslim academic claims it is the disrespect of Islam that triggers the violent responses of radical Muslims against non-Muslims. Instead of addressing the appalling levels of intolerance and bigotry within the Muslim community, Yasmeen proposes a form of punishment of those who ‘violate’ the ‘religious feelings’ of Muslims.

Australia, It Vanished While We Slept

Like the concerned locals of Britain and, increasingly, of Europe, who every day must confront a new world not of their making, many Australians also feel something fundamental has changed. To put that sentiment in a few words, ‘We have lost our country’

Two current must-reads are Douglas Murray’s The Strange Death of Europe and Sir Roger Scruton’s Where We Are: The state of Britain now. Each in its own way, and with a very British focus, speaks to the current malaise afflicting much of the West, and certainly Australia.

Setting aside muddled and weak leadership (with the now notable exception of the United States); universal cultural and moral decline; confusion over shared and, increasingly, disagreement over non-shared values; awful corporate behaviour, now revealed on a regular basis; gangs in suburbia; the disgrace that our national parliament has become; the bullying and non-platforming of opinions disagreeable to the elites; and fawning political correctness by the comfortable yet “woke” inner-city trendoids and their cheer squads – setting all this aside – there is something else at work that is creating a sense of deep and broad malaise among the so-called Deplorables and Dis-cons among us.

That something is the growing sense that “our country isn’t ours any more”.

Matteo Salvini, Italy’s Minister of the Interior, has warned the EU that his country will no longer be the world’s refugee camp.

“Italy is no longer the refugee camp of the world. There is now a government that protects the interests of its citizens, and now everyone in the EU has realised that we cannot be the only ones to accept migrants,” Salvini said.

While the minister was satisfied with the new EU migrant redistribution plan which spreads migrants throughout Europe, he said that “the objective is to stop them leaving their countries, not the division at a European level”.

South Sudanese leader Ring Mayar attacks media over youth crime

Melbourne’s Airbnb owners and media are partly to blame for the wave of youth crime linked to African-Australian youths, the city’s leading South Sudanese figure says.

Ring Mayar became chairman of the South Sudanese Community Association of Victoria in May, the peak body in the state, and works on the frontlines trying to get young kids away from crime.

Youths of African appearance have been involved in a series of parties held at short-term rental properties over the past few months that saw properties trashed, neighbours assaulted and police targeted.

But Mr Mayar said the owners of “Airbnb party houses” had to take “some of the burden” for parties that had gone out of control.

France won the World Cup.

Anarchy all over France: Riots and looting in several cities after World Cup win

Violent riots broke out after France won the FIFA World Cup. Gangs of multicultural youths Mohammedans began rioting in French cities like Paris, Lyon and Marseille.

There were numerous incidents in other cities including Grenoble, Rouen, Le Havre, Nice, Cannes, Strasbourg and Nantes as anarchy spread throughout France.

It is unclear whether the French police are in control at the moment, but looking at scale of the riots, this seems very unlikely.

The picture above comes from Paris, where a bar was vandalised and a shop looted. The riots spread from the famous Arc de Triomphe to other parts of the French capital.

“I have criticised radical Islam, I have criticised the increasing blasphemy laws that are being brought into our societies. You won’t see Christians violently attacking people for criticising their religion like you do with Islam, things like the Charlie Hebdo attack.

“It’s scary because the more peaceful person loses out in these kind of battles. The government is always going to be far more afraid of the person who is going to commit violence, who will cause trouble for them.”

More than 100 people have turned out in Auckland to a free-speech rally calling for two controversial Canadian speakers to be allowed to address a meeting in the city.

Initially there were a few dozen people but more joined the crowd on Queen Street next to the Town Hall in central Auckland as the event went on.

Counter-protesters also attended the event, describing the Canadian speakers as far-right.

New Conservative Deputy Leader Elliot Ikilei said free speech was a right and Phil Goff did not control what he thought.

“Don’t you dare tell me what I am allowed to hear and what I’m allowed to think,” he said.

“I’ll make my own decisions.”

The organiser of the rally, Dieuwe de Boer, said he was really looking forward to the talk by Ms Southern and Mr Molyneux.

He said he organised the rally because he thought there would be a lot of support to have the council venue for the talk restored.

“[We don’t want] to end up with a society where only one side with one particular set of views can be talked about,” he said.

Stephen Berry from Act also spoke at the event in support of free speech.

A few protestors of the event who turned up to the rally said the event was concerning.

Joe Carolan from Unite Union said the people there were pushing their views under the guise of free speech.

“We have to take a stand immediately … if this movement persists then … [we] should be here to counter-protest,” he said.

The Free Speech Coalition has raised $50,000 to take legal action against Auckland Council and to try and overturn the ban.

Rallies were also organised in Wellington and Christchurch today.
