According to Abdallah Zekri the problem of street prayers in France can be solved by doubling the number of mosques in the country.

“Muslims don’t want to practice their religion ‘in the sewers’ and need more prayer rooms” he said.

France now has 2,500 mosques and they should have 5,000 of them, Zekri said on French national television. Abdallah Zekri is a member of several pro–Islamisation anti-Islamophobia organisations in France.

Henda Ayari, the first woman who came forward against Swiss Islamist thinker Tariq Ramadan on rape allegations, has been was placed under police protection after receiving death threats and insults, her lawyer said on Wednesday.

According to the lawyer, the former Salafist-turned-secular feminist has been harassed for nearly a month via messages on Facebook and Twitter, her answering machine, and by people who come ringing at her home.

“This is not trivial, these facts are punishable by three years of imprisonment, it must stop,” Jonas Haddad, Ayari’s lawyer, said.

Rouen prosecutor Pascal Prache confirmed the complaint and presence of death threats and said that the investigations are ongoing.

In her complaint, Ayari mentions the fact that she was called a “whore, paid by the Jews and the Zionists”….

What a pity that learned imams such as Pope Francis or H.R. McMaster were not on hand to explain to Habib-ur-Rehman Ludhianvi how he was misunderstanding his own religion, and that authentic Islam and the proper understanding of the Qur’an reject every form of violence.

An Islamic fashion designer has sent a gay pride rainbow hijab to Tony Abbott in support of gay rights, despite the majority of Muslim areas in Australia voting No to same-sex marriage.

Fashion house MOGA mailed the garment to the former Australian prime minister, who has loudly campaigned against same-sex marriage, after Australia voted Yes to the same-sex marriage postal survey last Wednesday.

‘By removing the focus on sexuality we are trying to remind Mr Abbott and others who share a similar view that marriage should be a union between two people in love, irrespective of gender,’ MOGA said.

Campaigners condemn ‘ludicrous’ hijab questioning

Muslim campaigners have condemned “discriminatory” plans for school inspectors to question girls who wear hijab in primary school.

Head of Ofsted Amanda Spielman said pupils would be asked why they wear the headscarf, which “could be interpreted as sexualisation of young girls”.

But some have asked why the pupils and not the schools will be challenged.

“The hijab in primary schools should be something that is dealt with via the schools uniform policy,” said Sajda Mughal, head of JAN Trust, a charity working with BAME and Muslim women.

She called the move by Ofsted “nonsense and discriminatory” and said it will be used by extremists to advance their narrative of “them and us'” and could fuel marginalisation.

A Muslim imam who campaigns against radical Islam has been punched in the face in a random attack.

Sheikh Mohammad Tawhidi, 34, was sitting in his car at Mawson Lake Shopping Centre carpark in Adelaide‘s north, about 12.45pm on Tuesday when he was approached by a stranger and punched in the jaw.

‘He came towards my car and extended his hand so I rolled down the window and shook his hand, then straight away he hit me in my face,’ Imam Tawhidi told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday.

Imam Tawhidi said the man, who was unknown to him, started to hurl insults and even threatened to kill him.

The Adelaide based Imam, who emigrated from Iraq when he was 12, said he sustained minor injuries to his jaw.
