For years, the left, traditionally supporters of free speech, have been fighting against free speech on college campuses, on the internet and pretty much everywhere. All is labeled “hate speech” from which sensitive ears must be protected. Remember safe spaces? Trigger warnings?

Now, DemRats trash journalists for seeking to disclose government censorship work and pressing them for their sources and confidential information…

Rep. Jim Jordan Destroys Democrat Claim that Government Never Told Twitter to Censor

House Democrats attempted to defend social media censorship at a hearing of the new U.S. House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Thursday on the Twitter files.

Led by Ranking Member Stacey Plaskett (D-VI), Democrats assailed journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger, both Democrats, accusing them of ulterior motives and even asking them to reveal their sources.

Using the “reclaiming my time” tactic they pioneered when questioning then-Attorney General William Barr in 2020, Demcorats prevented the witnesses from responding to their personal attacks and grandstanding.

In one particularly shocking exchange, former Democratic National Committee chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz appeared to attack the practice of journalism itself, including the idea of earning money for reporting.

Another memorable moment came when Rep. Daniel S. Goldman (D-NY), who promoted the “Russia collusion” hoax and served as lead counsel for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on the House Intelligence Committee impeachment investigation of then-President Donald Trump, claimed falsely that the government had never actually told Twitter to remove any “lawful” speech from the platform.

Subcommittee chair Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) immediately showed Goldman the proof. One member was heard to say: “Boom.”

As one might expect, the Judiciary hearing on the “weaponization” of federal agencies, featuring Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger as witnesses was full of fireworks, facts, and ad hominem friction.

Out of the gate, Ranking Member Democratic Del. Stacey E. Plaskett labeled the two “so-called journalists” as dangerous and a “threat” to former Twitter employees.

She claimed that Republicans brought “two of Elon Musk’s ‘public scribes'” in “to release cherry-picked out-of-context emails and screenshots designed to promote his chosen narrative – Elon Musk’s chosen narrative – that is now being parroted by the Republicans” for political gain.

Always accuse your opponent of what you are guilty of. That’s the Alinsky playbook & this affirmative action tard follows it to the letter.

Taibbi snapped back…

Taibbi fires back: “I’m not a so-called journalist. I’ve won the National Magazine Award, the I.F. Stone Award for Independent Journalism, and I’ve written 10 books.”

“I’m not exaggerating when I say you have called two witnesses who pose a direct threat to people who oppose them,” Plaskett said after the video.

Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, had a simple response to her accusations:

“It’s crazy what you were just saying.”

“You don’t want people to see what happened,” Jordan continued.

“The full video, transparency. You don’t want that, and you don’t want two journalists who have been named personally by the Biden administration, the FTC in a letter. They say they’re here to help and tell their story, and frankly, I think they’re brave individuals for being willing to come after being named in a letter from the Biden FTC.”

No More Room for Farmers With ‘WEF Food Hubs’

Food Innovation Hubs (FUBs) are being set up all over the world for the “transformation of food systems”. In November 2020, the World Economic Forum announced that the European Food Innovation Hub will be located in Wageningen, in the Netherlands.

Prime Minister Rutte announced last year that his country would invest in the Global Coordinating Secretariat of the Food Innovation Hubs. This secretariat will also operate from Wageningen.

“Fishermen gone, farmers gone, the next planned ‘crisis’ will be famine. Fortunately, there is The Solution: the WEF ‘food hubs’! stated FVD leader Thierry Baudet.

“I find this quite disturbing. What do we need a food coordination centre for? Of the WEF, no less. Under the guise of ‘fair prices for farmers’, (good) citizens are made dependent on the WEF for their food supply. Isn’t that scary?” asked health scientist Yvonne Simons.

Independent researcher Frank Hoogerbeets noted: “Food hubs must take total control of the food supply through WEF policy. So there is no place for farmers anymore. Not reported by the NOS [National Public broadcaster. ed.].”

Prime Minister Rutte spoke earlier at the WEF about these ‘food hubs’. His government meanwhile blames farmers for producing too much “nitrogen”.
