Thousands of scientists have repeated calls for urgent action to tackle the climate emergency, warning that several tipping points are now imminent.

The researchers, part of a group of more than 14,000 scientists who have signed on to an initiative declaring a worldwide climate emergency, said in an article published in the journal BioScience on Wednesday that governments had consistently failed to address “the overexploitation of the Earth”, which they described as the root cause of the crisis.

NSW authorities have urged anyone planning to illegally protest against lockdown measures to stay home. The pleas come after more than 3500 protestors fronted the Sydney CBD last Saturday for a condemned anti-lockdown rally.

“Your actions will hurt, forget about the rest of us, but you could be taking the disease home and passing it on to your parents, your siblings, your brothers and sisters or anybody you might have limited contact with,” Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.

“Do not give those you love the most a death sentence.”

Police commissioner Mick Fuller said any protestors who arrived for a rally on the weekend would be met with over 1000 police officers.

“The strike force from last week has locked up over 60 individuals and issued over 200 infringements and that will continue so if you turn up, you can expect the same sense of force,” he said.

Confirmed: ‘COVID hospitalisation’ figures are being rigged

A major exposé has been published in the United Kingdom by Laura Donnelly and Harry Yorke – Health and Whitehall editors respectively of The Telegraph:

More than half of Covid hospitalisations are patients who only tested positive after admission, leaked data reveal.

The figures suggest vast numbers are being classed as hospitalised by Covid when they were admitted with other ailments, with the virus picked up by routine testing.

Experts said it meant the national statistics, published daily on the government website and frequently referred to by ministers, may far overstate the levels of pressures on the NHS.

The leaked data – covering all NHS trusts in England – show that, as of last Thursday, just 44 per cent of patients classed as being hospitalised with Covid had tested positive by the time they were admitted.

The majority of cases were not detected until patients underwent standard Covid tests, carried out on everyone admitted to hospital for any reason.

 
I’d be surprised if this isn’t also happening here, though not on such a grand scale. Coronavirus is dangerously malleable, politically and administratively. NHS bureaucrats have an obvious vested interest in keeping hospital admissions on the high side; and so do politicians… for now. Sooner or later, however, the political class will have a more urgent interest in reducing the virus ‘burden’ by any means – even by recourse to the truth.

Such arrogance. To Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley, the 10,000 anti-lockdown protesters last Saturday were just lowlifes who were “on the side of the virus” and indulging in “ratbaggery”. To NSW Police Minister David Elliott, they were “a whole lot of halfwits” and “boofheads”. To Luke Cornelius, a deputy commissioner of Victoria Police, they were “selfish people” who “deliberately choose” to endanger us all with their potential “super spreading” event. To the NSW Mounted Police, they included a cruel horse-puncher who put “our beautiful brave (horse) Tobruk” through an “awful encounter”. And to glamorously made-up reporters and bouffant TV hosts who haven’t lost a day’s pay from lockdowns, the protesters were violent wackos throwing away everything we’d won through “our” sacrifice.

But to those who marched in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, defying pepper spray and $1000 fines – and to sympathisers who didn’t dare join them – this abuse would confirm they were right. Our virus masters are dangerously drunk on their new powers, and would rather bully than listen.

Fair call. How does it help anyone when police, politicians and journalists treat scared and desperate Australians as scum, and stretch the truth to make them seem even scummier?

They’re just “halfwits”? True, some protesters think the virus is a hoax and vaccines a conspiracy. That’s a worry. But many there were panicked at losing their jobs, businesses and freedoms under restrictions that at times make no sense, certainly not to them.

“No more lockdowns, my kids need school, I need to work,” one protester wrote on the windscreen of a family SUV parked near the crowd.
.
And is it just “ratbaggery” if some said they were frightened by the push for vaccine passports, forcing them and their children to get injected with new vaccines they do not trust?

How can they be insulted like that, when even Queensland’s chief health officer ranted like an anti vaxxer against the AstraZeneca vaccine: “I don’t want an 18-year-old in Queensland dying from a clotting illness who, if they got Covid, probably wouldn’t die.”

The popular broadcaster, who is currently a weekly fixture on Sky News Australia, has been told by editor Ben English that his column will no longer appear.

Alan Jones has been an outspoken critic of the government’s Covid mandates since the pandemic began. His criticism has been especially sharp in regards to NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s recent treatment of Freedom Day protests and the tough Sydney lockdown.

Leftoids like red bandana creep Peter Fitzsimmons who calls Jones “Alan Jones “a malignant tumour” are over the moon.

Among the twitterati are degenerates who call the great old man anything from “toxic 80yo bully” to “conspiracy theorist”

The media keeps LYING about the people protesting lockdowns

The vast majority of Freedom Day protesters on Saturday were law-abiding citizens before Coronavirus. It was the most politically and racially diverse rally ever seen in Australia. But that’s NOT how the media portrayed them.

For the first time I deeply fear for the future of my country. This fear arises not from existential threats and challenges but because Australia is being trashed by incompetent control freak leadership which has also succeeded in severely scaring much of our citizenship. Panic rules the day.

Thanks to being a large remote island and shutting international borders early in the pandemic, Australia has enjoyed a relatively low caseload, despite the best efforts of the Victorian government to run hotel quarantine in a style reminiscent of Fawlty Towers.

The initial pandemic management objective to ‘flatten the curve’ so as not to overwhelm our hospital system, has morphed into repeated lockdowns with a zero-tolerance of any community cases. Politicians have thankfully stopped using the initial slogan of ‘we’re all in this together’ which we all know is false and an insult to our intelligence.
