Any curriculum on ME-studies (ie Islam) is utterly distorted or taught by da’awa doctors; any criticism is immediately nipped in the bud with accusations of ‘racism’ or ‘bigotry’- Those recycled petro-dollars, those full-fee paying princelings from the desert kingdom’s shall have their way, even in Australia.

RADICAL international university students are posing a greater security threat than hardline sheiks by spreading extremist messages at Australian mosques and prayer halls.

Moderate Muslims warned yesterday that international students should be forced to undergo training about the Australian way of life to counter their radical interpretations of Islam.

The former chairman of John Howard’s Islamic reference board, Ameer Ali, said some international students needed to be stopped from poisoning the minds of local Muslims.

“The danger here is that universities are becoming the hotbeds for fundamentalist views among students,” he told The Australian.

“They (international students) go to the mosque and they mix around with the community and bring those same views into Australia. They have a negative influence on student attitudes towards religion.

“The students who come here, they come with the views (they’ve developed) in their own countries – it can be Shia Islam in Iran or Wahabbi Islam in Saudi Arabia. These are the agents of change we are facing now.”

Dr Ali’s comments follow revelations in The Australian that national security networks were monitoring some international students from Iran who were suspected of collecting information on the local Persian community for Tehran. It was revealed that Iranian students were using local mosques to infiltrate Persian groups hostile to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Dr Ali, a visiting fellow in economics at Murdoch University in Perth, accused overseas students from Saudi Arabia of spreading Wahabbism – a radical interpretation of Islam espoused by Osama bin Laden – at universities.

The number of Saudi students in Australia has risen almost eightfold in the past four years, bringing total enrolments to 2090.

The Australian revealed in March that up to 150 university students from Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Egypt who follow Wahabbism overthrew the leadership at the Newcastle Mosque, 160km north of Sydney. The students were accused by the mosque’s then spiritual leader, Bilal Kanj, of converting local Muslims to Wahabbism.

Wellington – An Algerian refugee has won a five-year battle to be allowed to stay in New Zealand after the country’s spy agency said Thursday the Islamic scholar was no longer considered a security risk.

The New Zealand spy agency, the Security Intelligence Service (SIS), ruled in 2003 that Ahmed Zaoui was a security risk after his arrival in the country late the previous year.

Zaoui was alleged to have links to Islamist terrorists in Algeria and had been convicted in the 1990s for involvement in preparing terrorist acts in Belgium and France.

SIS director Warren Tucker said the agency’s original security assessment had been justified but statements made by Zaoui at a review in the last two months had led to the change of mind.
“I am now satisfied that in 2007 he is no longer considered to be a security risk,” Tucker told a press conference.

The SIS had also recently received classified information about support provided to terrorism in Algeria by people close to Zaoui.

“This information has helped me to reach the view that it was Mr Zaoui’s associates who were involved in this activity, not Mr Zaoui himself,” Tucker said.

Zaoui’s case was controversial in New Zealand and a committed band of supporters campaigned for him to be allowed to stay in the country.

In 2004 the Refugee Status Appeals Authority granted him refugee status despite the SIS security warning.

The Algerian has been on bail for the last two years and said he was now hoping to bring his family to New Zealand.

“I am very happy and delighted. It is a big relief for me,” Zaoui told Radio New Zealand.

Zaoui stood successfully as a candidate for the Islamic Salvation Front (FIS) in Algerian elections in 1992.

While I was in Brussels, I was shown this newspaper from february 2006. It documents another illegal demonstration, in Schaerbeek, Brussels.

The main text demands “Death to the Jewish dogs” and “Death to the Christian dogs”.

Compared to that, how can anyone call me an extremist for merely wanting to preserve Roman Law in Europe? Is it because I am not religiously motivated? In that case, we secular atheists had better stick together, or they’ll be after us next. .

What have these people got against dogs anyway? What do the “animals rights” brigade have to say about this? Are Jewish dogs circumcised? Are Christian dogs baptised? Can Hindu dogs eat meat? Thinking about it, I’m just glad I am neither christian nor jew and not a dog.

Jew, Christian or labrador, I am none of these things.

But I am, apparently, according to the MSM and our politicians, a “racist” and an “extremist”.

Some participants in the symposium on ‘Apostasy Punishment: Problems and Answers’, called for the need to enact a law banning and criminalizing inter-faith marriage to overcome the problems that could occur between Muslims and Copts as a result of this marriage.
In his speech at the symposium organized by the cultural committee of the Syndicate of Journalists the day before last, Dr Mohamed Kamal Imam, Professor and Chairman of the Islamic Sharia Department at the Faculty of Law of the University of Alexandria, said why do not we pass a law expressly prohibiting marriage between followers of different faiths, especially in Egypt, so that to eliminate the problems that could occur because of this marriage and set off tension between Muslims and Christians.

He stressed that there is no contradiction between Allah’s words: “Then whosoever will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve” and “There is no compulsion in religion” on the one hand and the punishment of apostasy in Islam, because the first case – according to him – deals with the belief and carrying out punishments.

Kamal pointed out that Islam is a universal religion that realistically recognizes other religions and allows Muslims to marry non-Muslims and that it is the only religion that permits this, but enacting a law preventing matrimony between Muslims and followers of other religions would eliminate many problems.

Dr. Nasr Farid Wasel, former Egypt Mufti, said that all scholars agree that the punishment for rejecting Islam is punishable by death, because Islam did not sanction apostasy, because it did not force or coerce any one into embracing Islam, therefore a renegade must either repent or be condemned to the punishment of apostasy, because it is the right of Allah, the Almighty.

Got it: You are born into it, you are brainwashed into it, you are bashed and beaten and forced into it, but since you ’embraced Islam’ you are not allowed to leave, otherwise you must be killed. And if you’re killed by fellow Muslims its not them who kill you, its the hand of Allah himself!

The German Front

Americans were the plot’s main targets and not Germans. Besides American military installations and the Frankfurt airport, the terrorists, in their mindless hatred, were considering attacking discotheques, schools (think of Beslan), bars, or anywhere their sick minds considered there would be American citizens.

According to the Spiegel report, the tracking of the terrorists became an important theme in German-American relations over the past months, most likely because of this Islamist targeting of Americans and their desire to “kill as many people as possible” with bombs a hundred times more powerful than the backpack explosives used in the 2005 London transit bombings. Operation Alberich was considered so important that it was one of the topics of conversation between President George Bush and German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the G8 summit in Heiligendamm, Germany, last June. President Bush was also immediately informed of last week’s terrorist arrests.

The only unfortunate part of the whole affair is that only three of the 49 Islamists that German Federal Intelligence Service chief Jorg Ziercke believes are involved in the plot are in custody where they are remaining silent. The German newspaper, Die Welt, reported Ziercke’s statement regarding the plot’s size as well as the fact that the cell consisted of a solid core of ten terrorists, of whom two are still in Germany but cannot yet be arrested due to a lack of evidence.

But perhaps just as alarming as this large number of potential mass murderers still on the loose and dedicated to killing Americans is the fact that seven persons from German Islamist circles have been arrested in Pakistan over the past months and an additional six are known to be currently in that country. And if such is truly the case, then one can probably expect a lot more friendly words to come America’s way from Western Europe yet.

Coverage is very sparse. Here is a story from the thrice-weekly Press & Guide, “Man with AK-47 assault rifle arrested after leaving Dearborn’s Hemlock Park”:

DEARBORN – Houssein Zorkot, a 26-year-old Dearborn resident, was arraigned Tuesday in 19th District Court on multiple felony charges, including carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent — a five-year felony.
Zorkot, a third-year medical student at Wayne State University, was allegedly armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and dressed in black clothing with camouflage paint covering his face when he was arrested Saturday in Hemlock Park.

According to police, Zorkot was observed attempting to leave the park in a black SUV after officers had received reports of a man carrying a rifle in the area. He was placed under arrest and is scheduled to undergo a preliminary examination at 9 a.m. Sept. 21 in 19th District Court.

Zorkot has also been charged with one count of possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle and one count of felony firearm. He remains in custody on a $1 million bond (cash, no 10 percent).

Algeria: Al-Qaeda accused of recruiting teenage bombers

Algiers, 12 Sept. (AKI) – Al-Qaeda has been accused of recruiting 40 teenage youths in Algeria for suicide attacks in Iraq.

According to a report in the Algerian newspaper, al-Khabar, the youths were being trained to become ‘little Zarqawis’.

It said one 15-year-old boy who had joined the group at the beginning of April was one of two bombers blown up in last week’s suicide bombing in Dellys.

At least 37 people were killed and another 47 injured in the suicide car bomb attack on a naval barracks in the town of Dellys, 100 kilometres east of Algiers. Al-Qaeda later claimed responsibility for the attack.

Al-Khabar said youths were being recruited from local mosques and had dreams of fighting against US troops in Iraq. They were reportedly trained at a camp called Awlad Salah in the province of Boumerdes.

Many of the recruits came from poor local villages and recruiting agents were paid from 450 dollars to 730 dollars for every youth they sent to the training camps.

Mingora (Pakistan): Islamist militants in Pakistan have tried to blow up a seventh-century Buddhist rock carving in an attack reminiscent of the destruction of ancient Buddha statues in Afghanistan six years ago.

There was, however, no damage to the image of the sitting Buddha carved into a 130-foot high rock in mountains 20 km north of Mingora, a town in the scenic Swat valley, northwest of the capital, Islamabad.

A group of masked-men tried to destroy the carving on Tuesday, said provincial archaeology department official Aqleem Khan.

”Militants drilled holes in the rock and filled them with dynamite and blew it up,” Khan said on Wednesday.

”The explosion damaged the upper part of the rock but there was no damage to the image itself,” he said.

Buddhism spread through northern India and flourished in what is now Pakistan and Afghanistan hundreds of years before the arrival of Islam. Both countries are now predominantly Muslim.

Khan compared the attack on the carving to the destruction of two giant standing Buddha statues in Bamiyan province in Afghanistan in early 2001 by the then ruling Taliban.

The Taliban blew up the two ancient statues carved into a cliff face saying they were offensive to Islam, despite appeals from around the world, including from Muslim leaders, that they be saved.

”It’s just like the way the Taliban used to behave,” he said.

Khan said there were no arrangements to guard the site in the Jehanabad area in the Swat valley. Police had been informed of the attack, he said.

As in other parts of northwest Pakistan, militants have intensified their activities in the valley in a bid to force people to follow a strict Islamic code.

There have also been several attacks on security forces in the valley in recent months.

Last week, militants blew up about 60 music, video and cosmetics stalls in a market in the valley after their owners ignored warnings to close their businesses that the Islamists deemed un-Islamic.

Moderate Pakistanis are dismayed by the growing influence of militants pushing their austere interpretation of Islam, mostly in ethnic Pashtun tribal areas in the northwest, in a process known as ”Talibanisation”.

Defying a legal ban, an estimated 200 people took part in a short-lived demonstration in Brussels Tuesday against “the islamization of Europe.” The gathering was disrupted when Belgian police intervened and detained scores of people, including several European lawmakers.

Among the more than 150 people arrested in the area of the city where many European Union institutions are located were several far-right politicians and members of the European Parliament (MEPs), local media reported. They were released hours later.

Organizers based in several European countries who used the Internet primarily to promote the event had earlier predicted that 20,000 people might take part. They blamed the poor turnout on the legal hurdles and warnings that violence could erupt.

“Of course we’re disappointed by the turnout but it’s all the fault of the authorities,” Radio Netherlands quoted Anders Gravers, a Danish co-organizer, as saying.

“The mayor had no right to stop us. And there were even terror threats against the march, so it’s no wonder people stayed home,” Gravers said. “But we’re here to remind everyone that six years ago today, on 9/11, Islam declared war on the Western world.”

As Cybercast News Service reported earlierBrussels Mayor Freddy Thielemans last month refused permission for a rally to protest “islamization” — including the push to introduce aspects of shari’a (Islamic law) in Europe — and to mark the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

Thielemans, a Socialist, cited concerns about threats to law and order, and painted the event organizers — a loose association calling itself Stop the Islamization of Europe” (SIOE) — as racists. Brussels has a sizeable immigration population, and an estimated 17-20 percent of the capital region’s inhabitants are Muslims.

The organizers, who say their aim is to prevent Islam from becoming the dominant political force in Europe, then appealed the decision. The ban was upheld by a Brussels appeals court late last month, but SIOE continued to promote the event, while seeking to distance itself from neo-Nazi or other fringe groups.

Video footage showed police manhandling several demonstrators, handcuffing and shoving them into a police bus. They included Frank Vanhecke and Filip Dewinter of Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest), a party that promotes restricted immigration and independence for Belgium’s Dutch-speaking region of Flanders.

Before he was taken away Vanhecke, an MEP, was quoted as saying that “the rise of Islam in Europe poses a risk to our values.”

An Italian MEP, Mario Borghezio of the Northern League – also an anti-immigration party – was also arrested, Italian media reported. Borghezio earlier issued a strongly-worded statement criticizing the decision to ban the event.

Vlaams Belang said in a statement on its website, “Today the foreign media has again seen a fine image of how democracy works in Belgium.” It also described the mayor of Brussels as an “islamosocialist.”

Lebanese military intelligence officers allegedly made the claim to former Sydney resident Omar al-Hadba, one of three Australians arrested in late June in a sweep of men suspected of links to the Fatah al-Islam terror group.

Mr Hadba told The Australian that interrogators, who detained him on charges of storing 500kg of weapons in his workshop, accused Mr Sabbagh of having contact with key members of Fatah al-Islam and terror suspects elsewhere in the Middle East.

Mr Sabbagh disappeared the day after Mr Hadba was arrested in the north Lebanon city of Tripoli on June 20, and his whereabouts are unknown. Intelligence officers say he probably had access to several passports and is almost certain to have left Lebanon.

Mr Sabbagh’s wife and three children are still living in a rented apartment in the Tripoli suburb of Abu Samra, across the road from the home of Mr Hadba, whose tiny workshop underneath allegedly held enough weapons to supply at least a company of combat-ready fighters.

In an interview with The Australian, Mr Hadba insisted he had nothing to do with Fatah al-Islam and knew nothing of the group until its members attacked Lebanese soldiers at the Nahr al-Barad Palestinian refugee refugee camp in late May.

Fatah al-Islam is an al-Qa’ida-linked group that emerged in mid-March, after its members infiltrated the refugee camp in northern Lebanon masquerading as members of an established pro-Syrian organisation.

Mr Hadba worked in Mr Sabbagh’s cafe in Tripoli during the first three weeks of the fighting, which eventually levelled the camp and in which 165 soldiers were killed. “After the third week finished, I said to him, ‘What’s going on?’,” Mr Hadba said. “And he replied, ‘No problem’. But I started to hear from other people he was going to run away … Then he started to go away for a few days and come back. Then one day he didn’t come back at all.”

Mr Hadba said Mr Sabbagh was linked to two men responsible for the weapons in his shed, and that Mr Sabbagh had asked him to deliver two large travel bags, which he now believes contained weapons.

A group of South Koreans held hostage by Taleban militants in Afghanistan have said they were beaten and ordered at gunpoint to convert to Islam.
At a news conference in Seoul, the former captives also said they were made to work “like slaves” during their six-week ordeal.

Twenty-one members of the group were freed last month following an agreement between South Korea and the captors.

Two of the hostages – all Christian aid workers – had already been killed.

Beaten and kicked

The former hostages said they feared for their lives at times when their captors turned violent.

“We were beaten with a tree branch or kicked around. Some kidnappers threatened us with death at gunpoint to force us to follow them in chanting their Islamic prayer for conversion,” said Jae Chang-hee.

Another of the group, Yu Jung-hwa, described how she thought she was going to die.

“The most difficult moment, when I had a big fear of death, was when the Taleban shot [a] video.

“All 23 of us leaned against a wall and armed Taleban aimed their guns at us, and a pit was before me.

“They said they will save us if we believe in Islam. I almost fainted at the time and I still cannot look at cameras,” she said.

10) The concept of the kuffar. What is the Bilad al-Kufr? Why is it now permissible, as it once was not, for Muslims to migrate to the Bilad al-Kufr and live there? What do the Muslim websites explain?

11) What does the phrase “umma al-islamiyya” mean? Do whom, or to what, must Muslims owe their allegiance? Are they permitted to owe their allegiance or loyalty to anything else? Could they ever possibly fight on the side of Infidel fellow-citizens against Muslims from another country?

12) What is the concept of “taqiyya”? Does it differ from “kitman”? People of all religions lie, but is there another religion that formally sanctions lying in order to protect that religion or its Believers?

13) How are Jesus and Moses viewed in Islam?

14) What are the “djinn” in the Qur’an and where to they come from?

15) When was the Qur’an written? Over what period of time? And who wrote it down, if Muhammad was “unlettered”? And who dictated it? Why are there so many elements of both the Old and the New Testament to be found in the Qur’an? Which came first?

16) Why did the original Arab conquerors have such astounding success in subduing large swaths of territory? Did the belief-system they brought with them help or hinder that success, in the light of what you now know about Islam?

17) Can the hadith that are regarded as “authentic” be changed? That is, can one simply get rid of those hadith that say unkind things about Infidels?

18) Why are those who are Muslims not allowed to change their religion without the threat of severe punishment, including death?

19) Why do Muslims call Infidels who become Muslims “reverts” rather than “converts”?

20) What does the word “dhimmi” mean? What are the ahl al-dhimma? What is the “pact” that was made between the Muslims and the “People of the Book” who were allowed to live, and even practice their religion, under certain conditions? What requirements were laid upon the dhimmis in order that they might be treated as such? What does it mean to be a “protected people” — “protected” from what, exactly?

21) Was Islamic Spain a paradise of interfaith harmony, that it would be advisable to try to reproduce today, if only we could?

22) What are the vast benefits that either “interfaith dialogue” or a “dialogue of civilisations” can bring to us?

Oh, this is just a start. Come to think of it, this little quiz is useful not only in Tulsa, but in New York and Washington.

Here is what I propose. Everybody, anybody, who wishes to utter a word about Islam, or about the relation of the tenets of Islam to how Muslims actually treat non-Muslims, and have done so for 1350 years, will have to take this test.

Fitzgerald: Islam and the nation-state

The inimitable Hugh Fitzgerald explains why the nation-state is meaningless to a good Muslim

The nation-state is meaningless to a good Muslim, to the precise extent that he takes his Islam seriously. It exists; he needs its passport. He wants, in the case of the Infidel nation-state, to enjoy all the fruits of that state — the fruits that are produced because it is the creation of Infidels, and is well-run, productive, and has stability and the rule of law. The “refugee,” or rather immigrant, generally comes from one of an assortment of badly-run Muslim countries where despots are the natural order, given how Islam inculcates the notion that political legitimacy is to be located elsewhere than in “will of the people.”

Listen carefully to Muslim rhetoric in this country. It is always not-quite-what-it-seems-to-be: we hear, for example, the phrase “we are here to stay.” What does that mean? Is that a rousing sign of loyalty to the American political and legal system? Or is it, rather, an aggressive and defiant expression –– we’re here, we’re not going anywhere, and we will do exactly as we please, in putting relentless pressure on the American legal and political system, on its educational system, on its social understandings, and will never give up, and don’t think about trying to stop us — because “we’re here to stay.”

Islam’s 20-year plan for U.S.

Geert Wilders ‘Ban The Koran’ – Campaign in Holland Gains Support

Resistance growing in Holland:

THE HAGUE, The conservatives (VVD) and Party for Freedom (PVV) are putting pressure on the Christian democrats (CDA) and Labour (PvdA) to take tougher measures against radical Islam. The opposition parties appear to have the support of the population.

The VVD wants Imams with a Dutch passport who preach hatred to have their Dutch citizenship withdrawn so that they can be deported. The party also believes that their mosques should be closed down, said MP Halbe Zijlstra. “On principle, the possibilities already exist, but the descriptions of the law in the constitution are very unclear here. As a result, mayors never apply the rules.”

PVV leader Geert Wilders used the debate to repeat his recent plea for a ban on the Koran. He also fiercely attacked Integration Minister Ella Vogelaar (PvdA), who said in an interview that Islam will eventually be regarded as part of Dutch culture. “You have demonstrated that you are absolutely nuts”, stated Wilders, who repeated this remark when asked by Lower House speaker Gerdi Verbeet to take it back.

Coalition parties CDA and PvdA tend to warn that Islam must be discussed cautiously and with respect, but the population appears to disagree. Radio programme Standpunt yesterday presented the statement ‘The debate in society on Islam is too tough.’ Only 24 percent agreed, and 76 percent disagreed.

Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi and Other Sheikhs Herald the Coming Conquest of Rome 

In articles written by Islamic clerics, the clerics herald the imminent conquest of Rome by Islam, in accordance with the prophecy of Muhammad. The issue is also discussed in Friday sermons. Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, one of the most influential clerics in Sunni Islam, often makes this claim in his religious rulings and on his television programs. The following are remarks made by Al-Qaradhawi and other Muslim clerics:

Al-Qaradhawi: “Islam will Return to Europe as a Conqueror”

In a fatwa posted on the website www.islamonline.net,[1] in response to a reader’s question, Sheikh Al-Qaradhawi wrote of the “signs of the victory of Islam,” citing a well-known Hadith: “… The Prophet Muhammad was asked: ‘What city will be conquered first, Constantinople or Romiyya?’ He answered: ‘The city of Hirqil [i.e. the Byzantine emperor Heraclius] will be conquered first’ – that is, Constantinople… Romiyya is the city called today ‘Rome,’ the capital of Italy. The city of Hirqil [that is, Constantinople] was conquered by the young 23-year-old Ottoman Muhammad bin Morad, known in history as Muhammad the Conqueror, in 1453. The other city, Romiyya, remains, and we hope and believe [that it too will be conquered].”

“This means that Islam will return to Europe as a conqueror and victor, after being expelled from it twice – once from the South, from Andalusia, and a second time from the East, when it knocked several times on the door of Athens.”

Detainees flinging body waste at guards. Guards interrupting detainees at prayer. Interrogators withholding medicine. Hostility and tension between inmates and their keepers at the Guantanamo Bay prison are evident in transcripts obtained by The Associated Press.

These rare detainee accounts of life inside the razor wire at the remote U.S. military base in Cuba emerged during Administrative Review Board hearings aimed at deciding whether prisoners suspected of links with the Taliban or al-Qaida should continue to be held or be sent away from Guantanamo.

The Pentagon gave the AP transcripts of hearings held last year in a trailer at Guantanamo after the news agency sought the material under the Freedom of Information Act.

Amid the tensions, the transcripts also show a few relaxed encounters between detainees and their guards and interrogators.

The military has said Guantanamo is relatively calm compared to last year. But a report released by the detention center last month shows mass disturbances are up sharply over 2006 and forced removal of prisoners from cells and assaults with bodily fluids are on pace to match or exceed last year’s total.

The transcripts, obtained by the AP on Friday, illustrate the friction.

A Yemeni detainee, Mohammed Ali Em al-Zarnuki, warned his panel of three U.S. military officers that inmates would attempt suicide unless guards stop interrupting prayers, moving detainees during prayer time and whistling and creating other distractions.

Four detainees have committed suicide at Guantanamo — three last year and one on May 30. Several other detainees have tried to kill themselves, including by overdosing on hoarded medicine.
