Hillary backs reconciliation talks with Taliban “if they are willing to abandon violence”
Hillary: Yes, the “war on terror” really is over
So apparently, if they are willing to abandon violence and pursue their goal of implementing Islamic law by other means, that is just fine with her. Here is yet another demonstration of the danger of misdiagnosis of the global jihad threat: the problem is not the means the Taliban use, the problem is their goal. The Taliban are not bad because they are violent — after all, so are the forces that oppose them. However, as far as the President and the Secretary of State are concerned, that is the only problem with them. If they try to accomplish their goals at the ballot box rather than with guns and bombs, Obama and Clinton would welcome them as partners. The fact that the Taliban want to impose a law upon Afghanistan that would subjugate women and non-Muslims as inferiors, denied equality of rights with Muslim men, and extinguish freedom of speech and freedom of conscience, means nothing to them.
And why should it? Karzai’s Afghanistan is already a Sharia state, according to the Afghan Constitution.

Ramallah, West Bank — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has announced a new million-dollar scholarship program to help Palestinian students enroll at Palestinian and American universities.
Mrs. Clinton announced the Middle East Partnership Initiative during a visit to this Palestinian town last week. The four-year program will support about 10 scholarships each year for disadvantaged students to attend four-year courses at Palestinian universities. The program will also offer 25 “opportunity grants” to enable promising but disadvantaged young Palestinians to apply to American-accredited institutions in the United States or the Middle East, a State Department official told The Chronicle.

Always wrong and stoopid too: Biden finds a “moderate Taliban” for you:
Biden the Mathematician: 5% “incorrigible” Taliban + 25% on the fence = 70% “moderate”
             Â
                       Moreover, 1+1=2!
According to the vice president — and don’t ask where he came up with these precise numbers — only 5% of the Taliban is “incorrigible” (i.e., are determined jihadis); 25% are on the fence, sort of; the other 70% are in it for the money (i.e., they are not serious about this whole Islam, jihad, and sharia jazz, but are “frustrated,” “impoverished, “disaffected,” etc., and so let’s buy them off.)

Clinton: Obama Administration will “enlist the help of Muslims around the world against the extremists”
Great! Something that’s never been tried before!
       Â
Eyes wide shut: Hoping to communicate more effectively
Of course, that’s just what the Bush Administration tried to do — and ended up taking the advice of Muslim Brotherhood operatives, and enabling jihadists to gain access to high levels of government. Will this initiative work out better as guided by Obama and Hillary? I doubt it.

The list of prominent Democrats who are now calling for The Censorship Doctrine seems to grow daily.   Now, impeached, disbarred ex-President Bill Clinton has weighed in.
Today, radio host Mario Solis Marich asked former President Bill Clinton if it was time for “some type of enforced media accountability.”
“Well, you either ought to have the Fairness Doctrine or we ought to have more balance on the other side,” Clinton said, “because essentially there’s always been a lot of big money to support the right wing talk shows and let face it, you know, Rush Limbaugh is fairly entertaining even when he is saying things that I think are ridiculous….”
Clinton said that there needs to be either “more balance in the programs or have some opportunity for people to offer countervailing opinions.” Clinton added that he didn’t support repealing the Fairness Doctrine, an act done under Reagan’s FCC.

Such an effort to suppress political speech is criminal and must be stopped.

Show me where the money went: finally slick Willie opened the books on the ‘donations’ he collected over the years; the result is unsurprising and disturbing: The contributions went to the William J. Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit created by the former president to finance his library in Little Rock, Ark., and charitable efforts “to reduce poverty and treat AIDS…”Â
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gave $10 million to $25 million to the foundation, and other government donors included Norway, Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei, Oman, Italy and Jamaica. The Dutch national lottery gave $5 million to $10 million.Â
* Bolt: Â What on earth did those governments expect in return for their cash?
And which Dutch official chose to donate so much of the public’s cash to Clinton and his causes?
Robert Spencer: By posting this am I saying that Bill Clinton is different from any other powerful politician, in taking money from foreign donors who obviously hope to influence the political process? No, in this Bill Clinton is not singular. But look at this list: $10 million to $25 million from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Between $1 million and $5 million each from Saudi businessman Nasser Al-Rashid, Friends of Saudi Arabia, the Dubai Foundation, and the governments of Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei and Oman. And the New York Post here is worried about money from India keeping Hillary from being kind to Pakistan! Has anyone stopped to ask whether or not all these millions coming in from Muslim states might be helping make Bill (and Hillary?) soft on the jihad?

“Blocking the Path to 9/11″
Just less than seven years ago it would have been impossible to predict that the horrific events of September 11, 2001 would be as forgotten as they now seem today. In those heady days of national unity that marked the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on America, we made a communal pledge that we would never forget the victims or the lessons of that fateful day. There is little doubt that we have long ago betrayed that promise.
* BS-peddlers & da’awa doctors: “Terrorists hijacked the Muslim faith”
There is no more dramatic example of this distressing reality than what has happened to the one major film that attempted to answer a very simple and yet extremely complex question: How was that day allowed to happen?
In 2006, exactly five years after the attacks, ABC attempted to broadcast “The Path to 9/11.” The extraordinary mini-series was a $40 million, five-hour-plus production that aired, commercial-free, over two nights, in prime time.
However, prior to broadcast, Bill Clinton and members of his former administration went ballistic after discovering that one scene in the film dealt with the many opportunities during his presidency to kill or capture Usama bin Laden. A two-week firestorm erupted and the film had several key scenes edited out of the completed and legally vetted version before finally airing with numerous disclaimers.

Fitzgerald: The jihad in Serbia revisited
* some amazing insights in the madness of US general Wesley Clark
The jihad in Serbia is one that is obscured in a particularly vexing way. Accordingly it must be emphasized that in alerting people to attacks on the Serbs, and to the destruction of ancient churches and monasteries, and on the infiltration into the area of Arabs bringing a brand of Islam quite different from the relaxed, syncretistic local version (not exactly full-bodied Islam in practice, because that local practice was affected by the centuries of proximity to non-Muslims, and to the effect of Communism), one is not endorsing any massacres by some Serbs. One can distance oneself — most Serbs do, unfeignedly — from Milosevic and those atrocities that were committed by some Serb forces.
* Link to JW
One must keep in mind both the way in which some atrocities ascribed to Serbs were exaggerated, while the atrocities inflicted on them were minimized or ignored altogether. The role played by Arabs who came from outside never received the attention in the West it deserved. But what was most disturbing was that there was no context to anything: nothing about the centuries of Muslim rule, the ferocity of that Turkish rule, evoked in summary fashion by memories of the feared devshirme (which was not, as Bernard Lewis would have it, a kind of benign “recruitment” of Christian and in some cases Jewish children for the armies of the Sultan, but rather a forced levy of such children, snatched from their families to enter the armies of the Sultan).
Had such a history been discussed early on, Western governments might have understood and attempted to assuage the deep fears evoked by the Bosnian Muslim leader, Izetbegovic, when he wrote that he intended to create a Muslim state in Bosnia and impose the Sharia not merely there, but everywhere that Muslims had once ruled in the Balkans. Had the Western world shown the slightest intelligent sympathy or understanding of what that set off in the imagination of many Serbs (and elsewhere, among the Christians in the Balkans and in Greece), there might never have been such a violent Serbian reaction, and someone like Milosevic might never have obtained power.
Izetbegovic had openly demanded that Islam become the ruling force in Bosnia. His remarks on the need to reimpose the Sharia and impose full Muslim rule did send shivers down Serbian spines.
