Clinton spoke to the press in the Moroccan city of Marrakech, where she was attending a regional conference called Forum for the Future.

The position of US President Barack Obama on settlements ‘has not changed,’ Clinton said, explaining that ‘the United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements.’

The Israeli offer of restricting settlements, however, would have a ‘significant’ effect, she said.

Clinton praised Palestinian efforts to improve security in the West Bank.

She said she had advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to respond to ‘positive’ Palestinian measures in kind.

Clinton’s statement was interpreted by observers as a slight hardening of the US position on settlements, in line with the wishes of Arab countries.

The Forum for the Future brought together representatives of Middle Eastern, North African and industrialized countries.

Kosovo the state was not created by Europe –  an autonomous region would have been better than an independent one.

Not  surprisingly the EU is not that excited about it – the article goes on to complain of EU disdain for Kosovo because it offered citizens of Serbia [minus Milosevich], Montenegro, and Macedonia visa-free travel into the EU and as a result many Kosovars are applying for Serbian passports as a way to gain access to Europe – and likely a livelihood – which of course may eventually lead to the undermining of the Kosovo state. Oh well!

The West will live to regret its betrayal of the Serbs

The Serbs have been in Kosovo since the seventh century. It is is the geographical cradle of their civilisation, attested to by the plethora of Christian monasteries and churches which dot its landscape. And what about the Serbs who lived here? They have fought for centuries to defend European and Christian civilisation. It was at the Battle of Kosovo in 1389 that they fought (70,000 of them to the death) to keep the Islamic Ottoman Empire from rolling over the rest of Europe. The Serbian people have been a bulwark against Islamic expansion into Europe for many centuries. It was the Serbian people who opposed the aggression of Germany in the First World War and the rise of Nazism in World War II.

They made British victories possible but what thanks do they now get for their efforts? Betrayal by the Western elites who care little for their struggle, and revenge from Germany which now takes its opportunity to put the boot into the Serbs.

Moscow, October 13, Interfax – Muslims of Tatarstan intend to offer USA State Secretary Hillary Clinton to adopt Islam during her visit to Kazan.

“As an imam I have to do several things when I meet her (Clinton – IF). First, I will meet her with peace and mercy from the Almighty. Then I will tell her about monotheism and recommend to adopt Islam,” the Tvoy Den paper has cited imam-khatyb of the Kazan Zakaban Mosque Said-Jafar Lotfullin as saying on Tuesday.

He also believes he should ask USA State Secretary “not to infringe on Muslims rights in America, to develop Islamic cultural centers, to build more mosques.”

In frames of her visit to Russia, Clinton plans to hold talks with Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiyev in Kazan Kremlin and to visit Qul Sharif Mosque and the Annunciation Cathedral. She is expected to communicate with Muslim and Orthodox spiritual leaders and parishioners.

WASHINGTON – Former President Bill Clinton has told an Arab-American audience of 1,000 people that the U.S. is no longer just a black-white country, nor a country that is dominated by Christians and a powerful Jewish minority

In a speech to the group on Saturday, Clinton said that given the growing numbers of Muslims, Hindus and other religious groups here,  Americans should be mindful of the nation’s changing demographics, which led to the election of Barack Obama as president.

Clinton said by 2050 the U.S. will no longer have a majority of people with European heritage and that in an interdependent world “this is a very positive thing.”

Speaking in a hotel ballroom to the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee during its annual convention, Clinton also praised Obama’s speech in Cairo, Egypt, that was focused on the Arab world.

    It works. The media love the charge. Our troops and pilots are always guilty — even if proven innocent. Because so many on the left want us to be guilty.

    Few journalists bother to investigate. If the Taliban, al Qaeda, Hezbollah or Hamas says it, it must be so. In Media Wonderland, terrorists never lie. Now every successful strike on a Taliban target generates the instant claim that the dead were all civilians.

    And it isn’t just the media who back the Taliban. The Obama administration — a case study in instant foreign-policy ineptitude — signs up, too.

    During the campaign, Candidate Obama promised anything to anybody just to get votes, and in many of those cases those promises have already been broken. Today broken promise was made to the Armenian Community. During the campaign he made a firm vow that he would be the first president to label the 1915 massacres of Armenians by Ottoman Turks “genocide,” a move that would infuriate our allies in Turkey, but something of great importance to the Armenian Community.

    He was so firm on the promise that he had adviser Samantha Power make a video promising that as president, Obama would keep to his word (see above) 

    Today Obama issued a written statement on Armenian Remembrance Day, calling the killings of more than 1.5 million people as “one of the great atrocities of the 20th century.”Notice that the key word was missing?
