“Pakistan to Cooperate”, Rice Says

By MATTHEW ROSENBERG and ZAHID HUSSAIN/Wall Street Journal

LAHORE, Pakistan — With the U.S. pressing Pakistan to act against Islamic militants suspected in last week’s bloody assault on Mumbai, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on Thursday that Pakistan’s president has assured her that his government will go after anyone connected to the attacks.

Don't laugh: Condoleeezzzzzza Rice among Glamour's Women of the Year

Rice Glamour: if only she could play the fiddle like her pretty double!

*  Lest we forget: Rice, this dumb twat, came out all agitated during the first Koran rage episode with “Disrespect for the holy Koran is not now, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be tolerated in the United States”she walzed in on the illustrious Gaddafi trying to shake hands and allowed him to snub her, only to turn around and stupidly declare that the “United States is too great to have permanent enemies”.

It emerged later that she offered to pay Gaddafi reparations for the damage Reagan did when he bombed Gaddafis palace… (in response for Gaddafi’s diverse terrorist attacks on the West…) She pestered Israel relentlessly to concede territory to the “Palistanians” -peace in our time- and made America the laughing stock all over Arabia and the world.

But hey, nothing can stop the nutroots from Glamour Magazine to lift this hopelessly overrated affirmative action case to the position of “Woman of the Year”– goodnight America!

Condolenza whispers through the Rice

“OIC seeks to limit freedom of speech, and that could undermine the standards of international religious freedom.”

* Yep. She said it!

* The utterly useless, clueless affirmative action  person in the white house, who is by no fault of her own Secretary of State, Condi Rice,  rejected what she said were attempts by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to criminalize “defamation” of religions, such as caricatures or other images of the prophet Mohammed, which is forbidden in Islam.

The OIC represents 57 Muslim countries around the world.

“We’re concerned by efforts to promote a so-called defamation of religions concept, which has been the focus of numerous resolutions passed at the United Nations,” Rice said.

“Instead of protecting religion practice and promoting tolerance, this concept seeks to limit freedom of speech, and that could undermine the standards of international religious freedom,” she said.

State Department report: Religious freedom worsens in “normally more tolerant” countries like Jordan, Algeria

Condi snubbed by Gaddafi, remains deluded as always

Watch the video here

Watch Rice being dismissed as (ugh) a woman, unclean, infidel.

*   Condoleezza (what a ridiculous name!)  walks up to Gaddafi to shake hands, only to be snubbed by him. As a believing Muzz he doesn’t shake hands with a woman during Ramadan. What kind of secretary of state doesn’t know that? Also the manner in which he did it. He just brushed her of. It was a spit in her face. C. Rice said the visit was a success.

Update:

Libya to receive reparations for Reagan air strike

gadhafi.jpg
Gotcha again, kuffar

“The Bush administration began to consider restoring a relationship with the country in 2003 after Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi promised to end production of weapons of mass destruction, halt terrorist activities and reimburse U.S. families of victims of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 and other terrorist bombings.” Well, he promised.

“Libya to receive reparations for Reagan air strike: Country will be paid ‘settlement’ for U.S. retaliation after terrorist attack,” by Chelsea Schilling for WorldNetDaily, August 14:

Despite 189 American lives lost in the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing, the U.S. settled all lawsuits against Libya for terrorist killings and restored diplomatic relations with the country today – with reparations to be paid to Libya.President Ronald Reagan ordered air strikes on Tripoli and Benghazi on April 15, 1986, after Libyan terrorists planted 6 pounds of plastic explosives packed with shrapnel on the dance floor of La Belle discotheque in Berlin, killing three people – including two U.S. soldiers – and maiming 200 others.

Two years later, Pan Am Flight 103 exploded in a terrorist attack by a Libyan intelligence agent. The blast killed 268 people from 21 countries, including 189 Americans. U.S. families filed 26 lawsuits against Libya for the 1988 bombing of the plane en route to New York from London.

The Bush administration began to consider restoring a relationship with the country in 2003 after Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi promised to end production of weapons of mass destruction, halt terrorist activities and reimburse U.S. families of victims of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 and other terrorist bombings. Following its pledge, U.N., U.S. and European sanctions were lifted, Libya was taken off the State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism and the country was granted membership in the U.N. Security Council.

An agreement required Libya to complete $2.7 billion in payments it had said it would provide to the families of victims. According to Associated Press reports, a senior Libyan government official claims there were also three lawsuits filed on behalf of Libyan citizens in response to Reagan’s air strikes – attacks that Libya says killed 41 of its people and Gadhafi’s adopted daughter.

Susan Cohen, mother of a 20-year-old woman killed in the Pan Am Flight 103, expressed outrage upon hearing news of the U.S.-Libya settlement.

“Gadhafi is an absolute horror,” Cohen told WND. “He has done many, many terrible things. He blew up the French plane, and he blew up the American plane. And what does the Bush administration do? The Bush administration is far more on the side of the Libyans than it is as far as the victims of terrorism go, though it talks a good line about caring about terrorism. If they can make friends with Moammar Gadhafi because they want his oil, then that tells you where they stand.”…

Yep.

Sample:  The month of Ramadan is devoted to worship, contemplation, charity, and fellowship, observed with a daily fast.  At the end of each day, Muslims traditionally break the fast with a meal known as Iftaar.  This Iftaar is a chance to celebrate Ramadan, which commemorates the revelation of the Koran to the Prophet Mohammed, and to engage in reflection, generosity, and compassion – important aspects of Islam.  This year the theme is, “Celebrating Islamic Art and Culture.”

Abkhazia in Russian Hands, Tbilisi in Danger

Wed, Aug 13, 2008 at 2:08:51 pm PDT

Fox News reporters on the ground in Georgia are now saying that Russian troops are moving in on Tbilisi (Steve Harrigan said Russian forces were at one point within 12 miles of the city), and that Abkhazia is under the control of Russian-backed separatists

Platitudes and bullshit:

Bush: Russia’s Actions Raise ‘Serious Questions’ About Intent

Henry J. Pulizzi reports on the White House.

U.S. President George W. Bush said he is concerned by reports that Russia isn’t living up a provisional cease-fire in Georgia, warning that the Kremlin is putting its relations with the U.S. and Europe at risk.

“We expect Russia to meet its commitment to cease all military activities in Georgia and we expect all Russian forces that have entered Georgia in recent days to withdraw from that country,” Bush said in a statement in the White House Rose Garden Wednesday. “As I have made clear, Russia’s ongoing action raises serious questions about its intentions in Georgia and the region.”

Simon Sebag Montefiore:

The troubles in Georgia are not the equivalent of an assassinated archduke in Sarajevo. But historians may well point to this little war, beside the spectacular Olympic launch of resurgent China, as the start of the twilight of America’s sole world hegemony. If the new version of the Great Game – the strategic rivalry and conflict between the British and Russian empires in the 19th century – is for the oil of the Caucasus and Central Asia, the West may be in the process of losing it…

Russia, which appears to be pushing its tanks into Georgia to overthrow its democratically elected president, has demonstrated gleefully the limits of US power and Moscow’s historic destiny as regional hegemon and restored 21st-century superpower. The empire has struck back and shaken the order of the world.

But this is, of course, not just the beginning of the end of American “world hegemony”, such as it was, but a further sign of the decline of the West it defends.

Even so, I’m not sure how decisive a step is the West’s failure to defend Georgia.  When did it ever have the power to help, successfully, a territory so close to Russia’s borders? Even when the American “hegemon” was near its zenith, Russia could still crush Hungary and Czechoslovakia without fear of the West taking up arms. The great imperial powers couldn’t even win the Crimean War.

Condi Rice: clueless, hopeless, useless…

The result of affirmative action:

* America, she said, “has no permanent enemies”

* ‘Disrespect to the ‘holy Koran is not now, nor will it ever be, tolerated in the United States…’

* Condoleezza Rice, May 16, 2002: “I don’t think anybody could have predicted that they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile.”

* “The future so bright I need shades…”

*  The latest: “OBAMA will keep the country safe”-

* there is no end to this. There is no end to the delusional stupidity of this administration.
