But our data show that most American travelers now are in the age group where this should be normal procedure anyway, so this shouldn’t impose undue hardship. “Yesterday, President Obama said the Israeli action to stop the flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip was “tragic.” What is truly tragic is that President Obama is perpetuating Israel’s enemies’ version of events. The Israeli government has imposed a blockade around Gaza because Hamas remains committed to Israel’s destruction, refusing to recognize Israel’s right to exist and using territory under their control to launch attacks against Israeli civilians. The Israeli blockade of Gaza, in order to prevent the re-arming of Hamas, is in full compliance with international law. Had the Turkish flotilla truly been interested in providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, they would have accepted the Israeli offer to off-load their supplies peacefully at the Israeli port of Haifa for transport into Gaza. President Obama is contributing to the isolation of Israel, and sending a clear signal to the Turkish-Syrian-Iranian axis that their methods for ostracizing Israel will succeed, and will be met by no resistance from America. In an effort to put a fresh face on a much maligned, but successful (in the end) Bush admin operation, Sec’y of Defense Robert Gates sent a memo to the CiC Obama yesterday,requesting a name change for US and/or coalition forces in Iraq starting Sept 1st of this year.

The whoopdedoo proposition? Change Iraqi Freedom to Operation New Dawn.

Real Bad Obambi-Crazyness: Veterans a Focus of FBI Extremist Probe

*  The FBI is wasting time and resources to spy on tea parties and returning veterans, all the while desperately pretending  that Islamo-terror  is an ‘overseas contingency operation” or a “men caused disaster” – and if you don’t look you can’t even see the 600 pound gorilla  in the room:

Muslim outrage over demands to cooperate with law enforcement

Muslim groups are outraged and are calling Congressman King a bigot for daring to suggest that anything untoward might be happening in mosques in the United States. Never mind this. And this. And this. And lots more besides. King, of course, is right on the money, but political experts said King (R-Seaford) was taking a risk by provoking fights with a minority group as he considers higher office in a diverse, Democratic state where the GOP usually wins by moving to the center.

In response to a Department of Homeland Security report about domestic right-wing extremism, King (R-Seaford) told MSNBC Friday that the department “has never put out a report talking about look out for mosques. Look out for Islamic terrorists in our country. Look out for the fact that very few Muslims come forward to cooperate with the police.”

King stood by his remarks in an interview Sunday and said: “We’re kidding ourselves by not addressing the issue.

“The fact is, the Muslim community does not cooperate with law enforcement,” said King,

CAIR rep to FBI: “Our mosques are off limits. Our Koran is off limits.”

In other words, despite incidents such as this, and this, and this, and despite the fact that hatred and Islamic supremacism are taught in a number of mosques in the U.S., he wants law enforcement officials to turn a blind eye to the possibility of jihadist activity in mosques. And meanwhile, he also wants to take the Qur’an off the table — that is, he wants no investigation of the stated motives and goals of the jihad terrorists themselves. Apparently he would prefer that we remain in the dark about them.

Congressman King says DHS should be watching mosques, not “right-wing extremists”

Leftist/Jihadist Alliance Update: the lefties at Think Progress posted this video. They think they have caught Congressman Peter King (R-NY) in a “Gotcha” moment on this one, but not unexpectedly, they play fast and loose with the facts. In their post they quote King thusly:

“[Y]ou could say that 80-85 percent of mosques in this country are controlled by Islamic fundamentalists,” he said in 2004.
